Fun fact about Ziri in my game is that early on in 2020 I was trying to get her souls to develop her but once i got Cleaver from the chest I dropped her immediately. I guess the Cleaver drop saved my emeralds. She should be a higher damage tank and have a special attack where she grabs the frontline hero and injects venom into her with her tail, reducing all stats for the entire match...esp dodge lol. Devs too lazy to implement such an idea
so basically i got lucky when i got my cleaver, REALLY EARLY in my game, "day 2" i'd still have a ziri squad tho, cuz i like to build around "one really good hero" her abilities sound boss, if you can keep her from "hiding in the sand"
She can work only if someone like Andvari or Dante or Markus is behind her but then again all 3 of them can do as tanks just fine... She needs urgent rework. As of now she's only eye candy
Ultimates that Ziri can aggro into herself: Ziri takes Cornelius ultimate, Ziri takes Orion's full ultimate, Ziri does NOT take Yasmine's ultimate cause reasons (dev bias probably). Ziri takes Andvari's ultimate, Ziri takes Luther's Ultimate, Ziri can take Arachne's ultimate, And the most important of all, Ziri can take Full Dante's ultimate twice. She's not a top tier hero, but she has her uses. My 2 cents, have a nice day whoever reads this.
The big problem with her ult though is that the taunt she uses is a debuff and can be blocked by Ode to Serenity etc, which makes it unreliable in a lot of situations. She's just a tough body with no real utility.
I just tested whether or not her ultimate takes on Corvus's totem punishment, and it seems that it doesn't. My Martha kept receiving pure damage, so I think that Ziri can only attract the damage of enemy heroes.
@@MistyKathrine Maybe in the Grand Arena, she can lead 1 team, while Satori can be in another. This forces the attacker to choose where to use Sebastian.
I think it is pretty interresting to see the difference between maxed out Heros and not having invested too much into your Heros because you are still fighting water or ice creatures. At Low or Mid Level Ziri is still a very good Tank and the Heal often saved him while Tanks without a Heal like Aurora or Luther can die before the Healer gets to work. This is why People like Asteroth and Ziri. Plus the second Hero (Yasmine, Maya or Krista for Example) can often tank until ZIri comes back. But once you do max testing things change dramaticly. Aurora becomes a very Strong Hero and the second Hero often can´t survive the Time Ziri is in the ground. The interresting Question is how to buff Ziri or other Heros at high Level without effecting the lower Level Performance too much

the point of a tank is to have her strong enough to TANK so if she "can't tank" she's "gonna defend" which means, you didn't build her up properly. WELCOME to GAMING~
Well, I remember that once a Ziri outlasted my arena attacking team; I suppose a maxed Ziri (especially with an Oliver or such) could do quite well on arena defense against a team that isn't too high level and/or doesn't have healing blockers like Celeste or Yasmine.
2:47 Galahad will never be a good second tank, because he keeps charging ahead. He will most likely lead her. I'm surprised that you can't find any use for her. At least she shields herself at the same time that Peppy does. Maybe she can ult during that time.
@@MistyKathrine I just played around with him in max testing. It seems that he pushes the entire enemy front line back. I always thought that it was just 1 enemy at a time. In fact, he even reached Martha's teapot.
@@eugenetswong Yeah actually has some utility. His biggest issue is being the only tank who doesn't buff mitigation. Instead he buffs physical attack, widely considered to be the worst artifact buff in the game.

Ziri has got her purpose in the game and she can surely be used effectively. With twins, she can work well having Dorian and Jorgen to back her up. When with Celeste behind Ziri, she might not lose her health so quick. Lian in the back along with Nebula may support Ziri Just fine. Adding appropriate damage dealer to those 4 could surely make Ziri useful and not as bad like mentioned in the video. Now, we keep on hearing Aurora is the best tank. Right. But no tank in the game is a match to Jhu. Jhu will tako Aurora, Rufus, Andvari, Cleaver, and all other tanks with a relative ease Esther very early in the match, or at mid match all depending on the tanks health and buffs. So, in essence investing into tanks does not have to be a primary mission for any player Just for the sake of having one. Kind regards.
Sure she "can" be used effectively but it doesn't mean she's worth using at all. This game can be very expensive, and investing resources and money into inferior heroes is a mistake.
Lot of Ziri hate...lol....I'm ranked in the top 10 with a Ziri lead team on my server. Built up she does what a tank should do, take damage for the rest of the team. My main damage dealers are Yasmine and Iris and Celeste. Not going to say she is the best...but I beat a lot of teams with the so called great tanks and when I lose...Ziri is usually the last girl standing.

Yeah he's really not great, but he's often brought up in "Ziri can be good" actually statements.

the taunt ability is great -soaks up all single target attacks and abilities -the flipside is this needs her to be superstrong, luckily she is that 😁
The problem with taunt is that it gets blocked by Ode to Serenity.
