    The way they were weaving the cloth and the tools used is exactly the same as most of the Naga tribes here in North East of India would do. Even my Mum and me know how to do that exact thing that was shown in the video. Colour and design of the cloth is also very similar to our tribe.

      They look similar to Angami/Chakesang tribe of Naga from North East India.
      Terrace farming was also practiced predominatly by these tribe.

    the government should pay ifugaos to preserve the culture / people. they can focus on agriculture science / and progress as ifugao people. not americanized.
    leave the americanization in metro manila only.
    Education is based on culture of society. i-pugo culture needs to be integrated in their local schools. school uniforms should be based on their cultural clothing.

      arjay2002ph There is an allocated budget given to us by the national gov't through the LGUs to preserve our culture, people and environment. We wish to be educated. hence, our knowledge of the english language makes us excel in courses of communication with critical analysis. We predominantly excel in courses like law and accountancy. If you go to Baguio a high population of lawyers and accountants came from our race.

      Martz Mayam-o just to share, i spent my weekend in baguio. it's sad that the city is now congested. burnham park is now dirty with lots of garbage and dirty wet market. it's becoming like metro manila. :(
      and my friends iphone 5 was stolen. :(
      maybe the city needs mayor duterte. lol
      i just enjoyed the weather and sm city has no indoor aircon. anlaki kasi ng aircon. lol.

    • @reviva2003
      @reviva2003 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      arjay2002ph The problem that Baguio is facing right now is the same with cities incurring progress. the most apparent is the problem of increasing number of population, most of those population came from neighboring towns and provinces, but not limited to other places like mindanao, if you go by the market towards magsaysay most of those shanti vendors came from mindanao and are, of course mulims. the problem with them is the lack of dicipline, and if you try giving them some they get agitated and worsens.

      Martz Mayam-o Then drive them out! If I were your local leaders I would do that! Tell them that's your land and they have no right to squat in it ! I'm from Cebu and I'm pissed off too that it's getting so crowded in our city cause of other neighboring provincial people. If Philippines gets federalized I hope every province has its own autonomy to control who gets to live and do things in my own land.

      The truth is the aboriginal Taiwanese migrated FROM these areas. DNA of Cordillera goes outward all over the pacific, not inward. They did not venture north into other areas like China but through the various islands below and all the way to Polynesia.
