Scott. You sound incredible. Is that the 20x14 kick? Or the 22x16? I’m look at this kit in ice blue but with the 20”kick. Nervous about it sounding small.
Hey man thanks for watching! Yes I have a 22in kick. Yea 20 could decrease your power some but it’s all about how you want to use it and the type of songs your playing. The blue is a beautiful color. Go for it! Have fun. 💯‼️
I feel what you’re saying on making the switch. I have been playing DW for about 22 years and I am ready for a new sound and feel. I am seriously considering this kit as a replacement to my collector series.
@@erictorres4889 I really do to! I actually had 2 Tama kits at my church. Super start classic and Star Classic hybrid (my favorite kit). It’s a solid kit.
Hey thanks for watching! Yes it’s perfect for gigs and it looks great when the lights hit it. The Pearl decade is a good kit as well. The session studio is just a step above.
Had a Pearl decade a few years ago the Kobalt Blue Fade with 24" kick....and my immediate thoughts were WTF straight out the box they felt cheap asf like it was $200 from Walmart or something, I'm dead serious it was bad. I boxed back up and returned it without playing...that was my first drum purchase from Pearl and now I'm afraid to trust buying any kit that they make...I like this SSS but afraid cause of my past, I gotta see it in person first now....just my experience I wanted to share with you.
I just realized the kick is 16x22 on the Studio Selects. I’m on a Pearl 18x22 currently. Did you feel like you were missing anything from the kick when you switched over to the Selects?
@@joshuamorgan204 Hey! Great question. I actually didn’t. Of course it does depend on what type of head you have on as well but overall it’s still very powerful. Plenty of low end but a lot of attack as well.
@@brandonscottlife Awesome, thank you for the info Bro! I appreciate it. I think I got it narrowed down to either the Gloss Barnwood in the Selects or possibly the White Marine Pearl in the Masters Maple. 🤔
Could you get a good jazz tuning sound out of these drums, with something like Coated Ambassadors? Or are these drums better suited to rock/other styles?
Hey Anthony. Great question. I would definitely endorse with them. For me all there models are consistent. Even the Pearl export. Also if your on tour and need to back line they always have Pearl as a option if your not able to bring your personal kit. Hopefully I will become a artist with them soon! Thanks for watching.
@@kmtobia Hey thanks for watching. Yes most most heads will work great with these drums. Pinstripes are good or coated are good. Really just depends on the sound you’re going for.
Brooo you're lame.... that drum sounds so perfect it is tune so great and it sounds like a tuning for pop and rnb gigs which is what I totally love... and man this guy has some chops🔥🤌🏾
Thanks for choosing Pearl Drums!
Always!!!! Thanks for checking it out!
I love Pearl to...
Nice. Thank you. Really nice back ground music.
Hey Mark. Thanks for watching. 💯

Guessing this will be good for gigs? I’m stuck between this or the pearl decade, didn’t know if it was worth the extra money or not lol

@@STIKLYFE410 fair play man thanks for sharing, I ended up getting the SSS lol it defo feels a lot more sturdy than the decade xD
Appreciate the video Sir! I’m on the research hunt now lol.
Dude go for it! Lol If you get theses drums you won’t be disappointed.

Hey bro, great kit, how can I purchase the 8" tom?, I saw that you have it too.
Hey thanks for watching!!! That’s a great question. I would try Pearl and order direct from them. Or try eBay.
Are these Session Studio kits alright for beginners?
My 5yr old wants to learn drumming.
Hey thanks for watching! Yes it’s a great kit! Very easy to tune, durable and versatile.
Could you get a good jazz tuning sound out of these drums, with something like Coated Ambassadors? Or are these drums better suited to rock/other styles?
Great question. I think you possibly could. If you do costed ambassadors or any 1 ply 12” and 16” head.
Top Sound. Pearl Session Studio?
Yes sir! Amazing Drums
Did you endorse by Pearl drums? Yes or no? And why?

Bad sound... My God.. The head choice it's complete wrong for this wood. I have a pearl session studio too
