I love it when we are blest with a productive year of growing, and then the equipment(and people) is up for the task at hand. And trying new things along the way 👍👍
Another great video love your info you give,I am from the UK and it's nice to see you love the JCB fastrack keep up the good work once again thank you very much.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you and others being entertained by seeing what we are up to! We have a really cool video coming up regarding a major reclamation project we've been working on for the last 3 years, so stay tuned!
A big hello from Western Australia....😊 I simply love this channel..💚 An Aussie in Canada... Say my hello to Joe..🤣 Hay season is my favorite, by the way my husband says hi, he's been watching a few of your video's.😂 Blessings from God allow us farmers to have bumper crops..🙏 Stay safe...💚💚
@@farminainteasy thanks...😁 Joe's a long way from home, I was totally surprised to see an Australian on your channel... Congratulations on the successful crop, you have to take alot of credit for your self, it's your knowledge that contributed to the awesome crop..👍
We do sorghum Sudan or here in Australia we call it forage sorghum on our dairy farm and we’ve baled it for silage and hay and it makes pretty good hay we grow a variety called sugar-graze forage sorghum and our cows love it we mix it in our feed mixer and also we feed it off to the cows we’ve had some that has grown to over 8 foot almost to the height of our tractor roof
Great video , I haven't even thought about baling sorghum Sudan grass , how do the cows like the bales? We always cut stuff like that either with a BigM or Easycut Collect to prevent rocks and dirt in the windrows. The Fastracs are sweet ❤ even more when you have to put row crop tires on them.
Thank you for watching! It actually seeded to bale really well, and it has very good protein so coupled with the BMR varieties its extremely palatable. Very good point on the row crop tire option!
Figured you could bale it. 👍. Heck we use to bale 6ft tall reed canary grass with a case softcore baler. This newer equipment makes that task much easier now. Use to cut that stuff in low gear with a sickle bar 499 haybine. Now we blow through it with a discbine and huge capacity hardcore baler.
Technically we are only getting 1 growth from the sorghum sudan. We got our first frost today actually, and we are losing our soil temps.... We can probably get some regrowth enough to graze it with cattle, hense why we inter-seeded the annual ryegrass into this field. Thank you for watching!
@@farminainteasy Thanks for the reply.. Here in Ontario I know a farmer that tried it for the first time this year. He got an amazing amount of feed off 2 cuts. His issue is he uses tower silos so he needs 3 to 4 days of good drying weather, a little trickier to get on this side of the country. There is a possibility of getting a third cut off but no chance that it could go in a silo.

Absolutely thank you! Sometimes you learn a little more when your outside your comfort zone, like we were this year on this field... haha

Thank you so much for watching, and I'm so glad your enjoying our content! I wonder if you enjoy the content as much as we like our Fastracs? hahaha
Yes I do really enjoyed all you harvesting and doing the silage love the three row mower really cut it up, once again thank you.
Great video. I love watching your videos and operation 👍

Wow cool, I haven't heard of anyone around here growing Reed Canary Grass here lately. I wonder why???? used to hear about that stuff all the time.
@@farminainteasy only grows in low areas. We get it around our sloughs. Not bad hay.
That's our problem, haha we don't have much standing water in these foothills. Further west we do.
Been putting up dry sorghum 5x6. Will tag you instagram when we roll it out at -30. Gotta save the feed the cows love the most for the cold days
That's awesome, thanks for doing that and letting us know! What part of the world are you in?
@@farminainteasy Saskatchewan, Regina area.
That's grown a lot in Wisconsin and chopped for silage
Awesome, these new varieties are letting them be grown further and further north! Do many guys bale it in Wisconsin?
Are you doing 1 or 2 cuts with the sorghum sudan in Alberta?
