    Don't fart in a closed cab. All real tho. Im a heavy equipment operator engineer. Was on a D 9 ripping for the 657s on a old cow farm. As we got about 10 ft down in a area I sunk down when I put in reverse the tracks brought up hair and flesh. About 12 cows deep. That dozer never smelled the same. The next job it went to the dump for 3 years still had that rotten meat smell.

    Hey bud, I'm not one to make assumptions, so I'm not gunna start today. Have you heard of regenerative farming? There was a guy, so believe his name is William, who has been on the Joe Rogan podcast a couple times. He has a big ranch down in Georgia dubbed "White Oak Pastures". He does beef stock & various other animals cuz they're delicious and people buy delicious meat. He used to use fertilizer on his pastures to make feed for the beasts. Now he just has the herds alternate pastures, letting the animals fertilize & cultivate their own fields. I'm not suggesting you get your own beef stock, but I'd suggest letting beef ranchers use your fields between crops, let them fertilize your fields the natural way. Maybe try it with one or two fields for a couple years so you can see if it's worth doing or not. Natural is always better than chemical

      Just did that, nice Valtra (at least i think it's a Valtra lol) That looks like a cereal crop header that's been rednecks up to fit on the linkage of your work horse? I mean it's definitely working, but how are you getting from one location to the next with that wide thing on the front? Or do you have a second chase vehicle with a header trailer? But it's definitely working. Nice McHale as well. I only ever to to play with any of this stuff on Farming Simulator with my kids. I grew up on a ranch in Colorado, but my grandpa passed away back in '94 and my folks sold the ranch and moved us to Seattle. I wish I'd been able to take it over cuz this city life ain't me but I've been making it work for the last 40 years.

      I really wonder if that doesn't have something to do with the fact that this field was a pasture for decades, so it's been fertilized over and over again and tilled into the soil for that same amount of time.

    • @Farmhand-Booker
      @Farmhand-Booker 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@TheBiggRiggz It has nothing to do with the fact that it was pasture for years and everything to do with your soil type. If it's loamy sand, you'll find that a lot of denitrification occurs because the soil doesn't hold nutrients very well, it practically leeches and even more so when subjected to rain fall. But if it's clay well then you get a lot of run off and not all crops grow very well in clay conditions.

    • @TheBiggRiggz
      @TheBiggRiggz 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@Farmhand-Booker yeah I get that point, sand doesn't retain water, runs right thru it, clay acts like a barrier. I couldn't tell you what loam was if it slapped the snot outta me lol, but I imagine it's good dirt 🤣

    I'm learning a lot of stuff that I didn't know could be done. (I'm a virtual farmer lol, I play FS22 with my kids) I thought that millet was something that was harvested with a combine, same with triticale actually. Didn't know you could mow them for silage. I knew about the friends with benefits already though. But that's a term i use for something else entirely 🤣 but that one is very important and I'm not in the ag life, though I'd take that over what I do for a living now if I thought I could make what I'm making lol. I live in a city that's right next to Seattle. Have lived here 23 years. In my little community within the city there's probably 1100 homes, and I know at least 75% of those folks in a first name basis. Half of those I have phone numbers for. I have numbers for 100% of the folks within a 3 block radius of my house and we communicate frequently. And our little pocket of the city is the safest in the entire city. We all pay attention to what's going on, strange vehicles get reported thru a chain of text threads, our kids are safe. If someone has a medical episode and can't do their yard work, there's a massive crew of us that go tackle it in short order. We did each other's cars, houses, and the block parties twice a year are goddamn insane! We're having our last one of the year this weekend. One of the neighbors is in a band so they always play good music. Another guy owns a catering company, so we all eat phenomenally well. This will go on until about 0200 Monday morning when everyone staggers home, then we all come back around noon to clean everything up, then it's back to the grind. Friends with benefits? We call that community 🤘😎🤘

    You definitely have to get a demo of the McHale Fusion 4 baler next season. It’s a fixed chamber baler like the Krone, but uses film instead of net. This means when you’re working with dry crops you need less rotations on the wrapper thus saving film. The other big benefit is in feeding the bales. You don’t have to separate net out & you have only one waste stream. Once you’ve used film you’d never want to go back to net. 👍

      The stupidest farmers are those who rely on hearsay. You should always ask yourself who is saying this and why. Krone has very good customer service. And why? If you want to conquer a foreign market, you have to satisfy the customers. And you can only do that if you don't let them down. So next time, think a little before you rely on hearsay from people who have probably never seen a Krone machine, let alone used one. Knowledge is power and relying only on stupid chatter from fanboys of JD, Case etc. makes you a gullible person know-nothing
