Its funny to me how actors think because they play a main role they now control the entire narrative of the story, Hollywood is so full of itself its unreal 🤣
It IS possible, but the actor has to be 100% committed to the role. They have to LOVE the character they are playing. Two people that managed to do so are Henry Cavill for the Witcher and Jenna Ortega for Wednesday. These two went AGAINST directors to portray the character correctly. They refused to butcher the characters they acted.
They're changing the whole movie at this point. They don't allow Rachel to say any new news about her Snow White, only things that are confirmed or if she doesn't admit to rumors. They're kicking her. They fixed the Dwarfes which means that EVERY scene that had just the one Dwarf now needs to change to show all, and dialog needs to be given to the other 6. There's rumors of the prince being cast as well. I don't see this movie releasing if they don't do an overhaul. Rachel alone ruined the film in just interviews and we don't even have a full trailer yet.
People don’t understand that Walt Disney took a huge risk making the original Snow White and the seven dwarves. It went four times over budget and if it had flopped we probably wouldn’t have Disney now. But it became a huge hit, and it’s sad now to see that Disney is trashing Walt Disney’s vision. 🤦🏻♂️

Also: the Evil Queen isn’t a bad ruler in the 1936 version. The kingdom is prosperous, beautiful and wealthy. No one would question her -- also bc everyone knew she is a powerful witch. So if she abuses their princess, Snow White, who cares? At least the kingdom is safe right? And even Snow realizes this. That’s why her first song is about wanting to be loved--she knows she is completely alone in the world, that if she tries to escape the queen would find her and that no one in the kingdom would help her. No wonder she offers her services as a maid for te dwarves, bc she knew no one would help her out of the goodness of their heart. So Snow wanting to be Queen sounds completely out of character. She is a victim of abuse who wants to find love. That’s what the tale is about. To add a whole agenda (I hate that that I had to use that word) into the plot is nonsense, it literally shows how Rachel didn’t understand the movie at all.

The original 1937 version was the first full length Disney movie that made Disney an icon and it was because she showed that kindness and following your heart will make your dreams come true. Definitely team Cooper.
Yeah, it made an Icon and somehow no one seemed to care that it was creepy as hell. The book was about a 12 year old Child Bride. The Disney Movie was about a 14 year old Child who lives with 7 adult Dwarfs. She later marries a 20+ year old dude and later has kids with him. So, what I get from that is if you are a kid marrying an old dude will make your dreams come true.

@@coryv5679 it was written in that period of time when it was normal for young girls to marry older men, but the relevancy isn't about those details. the tale is relevant and timeless because it shows the beauty and elegance of a kind woman who is firm and nurturing. the tale isn't pushing for young girls to get married to older men or to live alone with multiple strangers/men in the woods. if people get stuck on those specific details (which of course isn't acceptable in today's norms), then they miss the entire point of snow white's character. she brings order, cleanliness, and kindness to the older men who are rough around the edges, quite dirty and unorganized. she doesn't wait for the prince to come save her as zegler and many others believe. they just see the surface of the tale and run with it, which is a huge disservice to the story Edit: fun fact -- Snow White was banned in some theaters and was Rated R at a point in time because the cartoon was darker than what people were accustomed to. Also, they (back then) pointed out it was creepy for a young girl to be running away from a murderous stepmother into an even more dangerous forest and ending up in a home with older men. He had to have words with the printers of the first edition because they kept putting "dwarfs" instead of "dwarves". Dwarfs have achondroplasia; dwarves are a mythological race of stocky humanoids with a penchant for mining going back to German and Scandinavian folklore. Funnily enough, the dwarf actors Peter Jackson hired had no complaints about being body doubles for the hobbits and Gimli.

Zegler is claiming that Prince Florian is stalking Snow White in the original animated movie and they’re trying to move away from that. When in Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake Ariel didn’t seem as interested in Prince Eric, and it made him seem more obsessed with her, then Ariel with him, making it a very one sided relationship. I bet the remake of Snow White will be similar to that. They might even twist some things in the movie remake, that might not even make sense, like in Maleficent and true loves kiss. Disney has always been about telling a story about hope and finding love, especially involving our Princess roll models. Disney has ruined the hope and the symbol of love they’ve created and made a mockery out of it. Who ever is running Disney Productions, you are not familiar with your own brand and creativity. "Not as interested in Eric" practically negates her motivation to even be human. She loved the human world, but falling in love with Eric was what cemented her to the surface, she WANTED to be with him wholeheartedly. It got her a bad ending in the original story and Disney changed it to a happy ending. But it's so weird that they keep pushing this political agenda. If anything, animated movies like Thumbelina, Anastasia, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, etc., etc., raised my standards of men a little TOO much as a little girl, lol 😂. If they wanted to change the story and play with their own original ideas, they should have come up with something only Ariel would be able to do. Like in the beginning of the movie when she was trying to get away from the shark, Ariel outsmarted the shark and got away. Disney has so many amazing original ideas, and they took the easy way out to “prove” I don’t know what exactly. I would have liked to see unity between Ariel and Eric, especially in the end when battling Ursula. Inspire couples when they’re faced with difficult obstacles and issues to work together. Sure in the animated movie, Ariel and Eric semi “work together”, but giving Ariel a less damsel in distress roll and allowing her to take down Ursula in her own clever way. Would have been better to watch. I miss the hope and inspiration that Disney use to offer me as a little boy, especially since I’ve always idolized Disney princesses. I’m still in war with myself rather to watch the new Snow White movie remake. Save myself the hope Disney has given me from being more disappointed.

The Disney budget (so far) is about $340 million which means (not including the $150 million in marketing costs) the movie would have to make $700 million just to break even since the movie theater takes half. So for Disney it may be looking like the movie has to hit 900 million to 1 billion dollars just to break even!! Man, they are really messing up. It’s like they have no one left in Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney and Pixar who can write a story with compelling characters, direct a movie and make that not bomb.
It's even worse then that in other countries the cut is way less then half. So it's closer to over a billion they need to make. I don't see the merchandise selling either. Disney's toys now are being sold at discount outlets in mass. If Star wars can't sell toy's anymore what chance does this.
By the general rule of thumb if it costs 340M then it needs 850M to break even (depending on things like how much marketing it gets and how much money comes from America).
Since they're pushing back that release for digital editing, I would estimate that the actual production cost is going to be closer to 600M. Because they need to continue hyping the project until release, I would estimate that the marketing cost will at least double.

But seriously though, as a the main character, knowing you can defeats the purpose. A compelling story has doubt and struggles. Removing those things, you don't have a story. Saying what she said, she's essentially telling us the ending. There's nowhere else for the character to go. It's like saying once upon a time, they loved happily ever after. A mindset like that goes back to the Mary Sue archetype, which you want to avoid like the plague in righting.

That’s why her first song is about wanting to be loved--she knows she is completely alone in the world, that if she tries to escape the queen would find her and that no one in the kingdom would help her. No wonder she offers her services as a maid for te dwarves, bc she knew no one would help her out of the goodness of their heart. So Snow wanting to be Queen sounds completely out of character. She is a victim of abuse who wants to find love. That’s what the tale is about. To add a whole agenda (I hate that that I had to use that word) into the plot is nonsense, it literally shows how Rachel didn’t understand the movie at all.

The original 1937 version was the first full length Disney movie that made Disney an icon and it was because she showed that kindness and following your heart will make your dreams come true. Definitely team Cooper.
Yeah, it made an Icon and somehow no one seemed to care that it was creepy as hell. The book was about a 12 year old Child Bride. The Disney Movie was about a 14 year old Child who lives with 7 adult Dwarfs. She later marries a 20+ year old dude and later has kids with him.

she brings order, cleanliness, and kindness to the older men who are rough around the edges, quite dirty and unorganized. she doesn't wait for the prince to come save her as zegler and many others believe. they just see the surface of the tale and run with it, which is a huge disservice to the story
Edit: fun fact -- Snow White was banned in some theaters and was Rated R at a point in time because the cartoon was darker than what people were accustomed to. Also, they (back then) pointed out it was creepy for a young girl to be running away from a murderous stepmother into an even more dangerous forest and ending up in a home with older men.

He had to have words with the printers of the first edition because they kept putting "dwarfs" instead of "dwarves". Funnily enough, the dwarf actors Peter Jackson hired had no complaints about being body doubles for the hobbits and Gimli.

Zegler is claiming that Prince Florian is stalking Snow White in the original animated movie and they’re trying to move away from that. When in Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake Ariel didn’t seem as interested in Prince Eric, and it made him seem more obsessed with her, then Ariel with him, making it a very one sided relationship. I bet the remake of Snow White will be similar to that. They might even twist some things in the movie remake, that might not even make sense, like in Maleficent and true loves kiss. Disney has always been about telling a story about hope and finding love, especially involving our Princess roll models. Disney has ruined the hope and the symbol of love they’ve created and made a mockery out of it. Who ever is running Disney Productions, you are not familiar with your own brand and creativity. "Not as interested in Eric" practically negates her motivation to even be human. She loved the human world, but falling in love with Eric was what cemented her to the surface, she WANTED to be with him wholeheartedly. I completely agree with you. Ariel falling in love with Prince Eric is when the option of turning human presented itself to her. If it wasn’t for her love towards Eric, she would have been building her treasure of human items in her grotto for a long time. Her love for Eric is what pushed her to make a decision to turn human. If they wanted to change the story and play with their own original ideas, they should have come up with something only Ariel would be able to do. Like in the beginning of the movie when she was trying to get away from the shark, Ariel outsmarted the shark and got away. Disney has so many amazing original ideas, and they took the easy way out to “prove” I don’t know what exactly. I would have liked to see unity between Ariel and Eric, especially in the end when battling Ursula. Inspire couples when they’re faced with difficult obstacles and issues to work together. Sure in the animated movie, Ariel and Eric semi “work together”, but giving Ariel a less damsel in distress roll and allowing her to take down Ursula in her own clever way. Would have been better to watch. I miss the hope and inspiration that Disney use to offer me as a little boy, especially since I’ve always idolized Disney princesses. I’m still in war with myself rather to watch the new Snow White movie remake. Save myself the hope Disney has given me from being more disappointed.

The Disney budget (so far) is about $340 million which means (not including the $150 million in marketing costs) the movie would have to make $700 million just to break even since the movie theater takes half. So for Disney it may be looking like the movie has to hit 900 million to 1 billion dollars just to break even!! Man, they are really messing up. It’s like they have no one left in Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney and Pixar who can write a story with compelling characters, direct a movie and make that not bomb.

But seriously though, as a the main character, knowing you can defeats the purpose. A compelling story has doubt and struggles. Removing those things, you don't have a story. Saying what she said, she's essentially telling us the ending. There's nowhere else for the character to go. It's like saying once upon a time, they loved happily ever after. A mindset like that goes back to the Mary Sue archetype, which you want to avoid like the plague in righting.
