What is your favourite Apple Watch feature? 🤔
@fosudixon.
My favourite feature is AOD.
Mine is the notification as well Dion! Its always convenient to see whats pop up with ur mobile phone without even opening it out and just by looking at your wrist 😊 specially when youre on the road or doing something.
Definitely the dictation feature, I find very useful and the health feature
Hi I'm from India an I'm watching your all vedio can i join your giveaway family
Akramraza_sama
My features- 1. Always on display 2. Taking calls 3. Notifications & 4. Apple ecosystem
As someone who had no idea what the apple watch is useful for, after watching 10mn of your video I still have none. You’re pointing out differences, the title is misleading
Were you expecting the Apple Watch to appear automatically on your wrist after “10mn” of the video?
It’s not useful at all as if you are running or need an actual sports watch, you are better served with a Garmin.
If you only need the health monitoring, Whoop.
Notifications on your wrist is useless when the phone is right there! 😂😂😂
At least the Apple TV has a nice remote. The Apple watch is most likely the most useless Apple product.
@@francisdayonwe get apple watches cause their cool why change music and see notifications on your phone when theirs a cool watch right there
@@francisdayonwho wants to carry their phone when outside running. Slapping swinging around in your pocket.
@@johnymcmuffins7898 why would you not want a Garmin for that? lol
Apple ecosystem never disappoints. I bought Series 7 at Christmas 2 years ago as my first Apple Watch and I love it. Gonna stay with Series 7 until it dies.
How’s the battery health held up? thinking of buying a silver ss s7 since the s8 is literally the same watch.
@@magnus19g8xc9 It's pretty good actually cuz i'm charging it almost everyday, it has 95% battery health rn. Literally the same Apple watch as S8 with only 2 new features which are the crash detection and the temperature sensor. If it's in the same price range go for the S8. Otherwise if u don't need any of these go for S7.
@@smoke6434 my series 3 just died today while working for almost 6 years (since it came out). And I just ordered the series 8 (I was gonna get the series7 cause it’s basically the same thing but cheaper but I couldn’t find one) and I had 0 issues rocking it until it died. You should easily be able to do it and I’ll do the same
Will be buying s7 in 2 weeks
Does Apple replace the Apple Watch battery?
My favorite thing about the Apple Watch is the media player. Whether Spotify or Apple Music. I use to work at an office which prohibits phone usage so I use my watch to play a podcast or music. Super convenient
Can you do this with Wi-Fi version?
@@fernandolanderos4600 yes
u shouldn't work and listen to music. it's unprofessional and the boss will fire you if you get caught. especially if you are doing naughty things
@@herohour6496😂😂😂whqt
SE 2 workaround for Always On display: if you enable Wake on Crown Rotation, you can just toggle the crown to quickly peek at the clock. No need to spend more money on the S8, and no additional drain on the battery.
That’s not a workaround at all.. because then display is still not always on 😂 Also, raise to wake works so well, there is really no need to use your other hand.
I currently have the Ultra. Started with the Series 3, then Series 5. I use it everyday. The Ultra is my favorite Apple Watch so far
I never realized how valuable an Apple Watch could be until I got a cellular Series 5 in December 2019. This was a game changer for me, I could go for walks or runs listening to music without carrying a heavy phone. I’m still using the same watch today, never felt the need to upgrade. It’s at 84 percent battery health, still enough for me.
Hi Warren, thanks for sharing your experience. 84% after 3 1/2 years is not bad at all
I agree the Apple Watch cellular is a valuable device. I started with the Series 3 before the screen got smashed. Then i had the Series 5. Now i have the Ultra. It’s definitely a game changer with the GPS + Cellular models. I mountain bike. I take my iPhone with me on my rides, i put it in a handy holster.
Just replace the battery and keep using the watch.
@@user-wv2ny3gh9j I’m thinking about doing that
@@cindymfraser1518Why cellular when you always have your phone with you? It’s connected to your phone via bluetooth, you know that?
What I recommend is to use the swipe to text feature that is just such a fluid way to text on the watch imo 👌🏼 definitely takes some practice though.
Got mine couple of days back. I don't get out much right now due to a number of issues but outside of fitness there is still so much utility and convenience that I never would have thought of. Then of course, when my situation improves and I am able to get out more the utility will only increase.
Speedy recovery and then enjoy your watch to the fullest!
Very detailed video as always. I never owned any apple products but was very useful watching this video for future purposes. The Longvadon wristbands definitely a cop as the different colors basically set your look how or a switch up ❤.
@metehanig
You are one of the few people in youtube that tells tech in a very clear and easy to understand way. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Metehan
For the past 2 years that I have been using an apple watch, series 3 to be exact, I appeeciate how it keep tracks of my heartbeat since I am pre hypertensive. It is also beneficial in checking the calories I burn when I exercise. Although, the touchscreen is not functioning anymore but thanks to siri, I could still access to the different apps. Apple watch to me is a lifesaver.
Bro how do you use a device for so long that the screen stops working but you still continue to use it?
@@Zembie1 I just simply use Siri.
I agree with the benefits of handling notifications thru the watch. It’s a favorite feature of mine as well.
Hola Dion! Thank you for another great video! Loving my 40mm SE 2 with cellular. Went out skiing with it my bluetooth headphones and the snoww activity tracking app on and the battery did quite good even without any of the low power mode features activated. Be well!
Thanks!
I wanna buy my gf a series 8 but not sure if i should buy the gps+cellular one or if i need to select her exact phone carrier? Can she add her service to the watch regardless if i get her the gps+cellular option?
The SE II is my current watch, and it it’s perfect for my needs and my then-budget. Next one I get will have Always On Display but since I sleep with my watch, can it be dimmed? As always, thank you for the helpful video and for speaking properly. It’s nice to listen to an articulate speaker!
Thanks for the compliment. and yes, you can dim the light. How to Adjust brightness and text on Apple Watch?
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then tap Display & Brightness to adjust the following: Brightness: Tap the Brightness controls to adjust, or tap the slider, then turn the Digital Crown. Text size: Tap Text Size, then tap the letters or turn the Digital Crown.
Do not buy this, just feeds your anxiety. Get a rest from a phone.
Wym? I’ve been thinking about getting one but at the same time I feel guilty bc idk if It’ll be worth it lol
@@brooklyn.21I bought cellular SE yesterday and I’m returning it tomorrow. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s useless
Appreciate you heling me decide which watch to purchade.
Thanks for the video! I was searching a general apple watch video which include the series 8 for all the functions, every other reviewer only talked about the new features not the old ones
Good to hear, thanks
The built-in onscreen keyboard isn't exclusive to the Series 8 and Watch Ultra, I have it on my 41mm Series 7.
Couldn't agree more, I have the Apple watch 8 and I use it all the time, by far my best purchase.
Good to hear!
I want a apple watch se2 40mm GPS black, i assume with my phone in a 300ft distance from the watch the apple watch will use the wifi and also my phones 4G when out as long as i have the phone near by.
I have the ultra now and with the better battery i now sleep in it, the sleep focus is a bit glitchy as i was getting alerts overnight even with focus on…
@loganmickyd
The apple watch is pretty huge for fitness conveniences. Monitoring my heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and having a mapped history of my runs have been fun additional metrics to keep track of. Additionally with the 41mm size, the slimmer profile and smaller wrist footprint have made it very comfortable to wear for weight lifting. With my previous 42mm series 3, I'd get a lot of rubbing against my hand due to the wider watch shape, but this new size really hasn't had any comfort issues at all.
Ive been using the regular apple watches for a while now. I really wanted to test out something different so I went with the SE 2nd gen.Tbh there nothing much of a difference I can notice except the display and absence of EKG functions. A budget watch with an S8 chip is really a good option for users who are not really into all the H -tech stuff the ultra or AW8 offers.
It’s nice there’s options with the different Apple Watches
Thanks for the interesting post, Dion! We live in a wonderfully diverse time, where so many pros and cons can be adapted to the individual needs. I really LOVE the taptic engine and the sleep tracking on the Apple watch. This is counterbalanced by the abysmal battery life and that I basically hate the touchscreen input mostly being the only way of interaction with the watch. Using any Apple watch for sports is really tedious, as you cannot simply glance at the watch to check the progress, as the watch will go into screensaver mode while tracking. My solution is to go through your list, rate the feature for my needs and then check available smart watches for the best sweet spot. My current result is wearing a Garmin Fenix 7. It can be operated completely via buttons, has a 14+days battery life and I will live with the mediocre vibration motor and the subpar sleep tracking.
Hi Mat, thanks for sharing your experience and insight. Appreciated!
Nothing that the apple watch offers makes up for having that level of electromagnetic and rf radiation pressed against your body all day. They need to figure out an internal faraday cage or something to limit the amount of radiation pouring out of these things.
Is it possible to start playing Spotify directly by pushing the side crown on Apple Watch?
im looking for an apple watch, its been my first year since using an iPhone, I was already using a macbook and ipad, and yes Ive become such an apple fanboy, but things just work so well together and I get so much use out of them, I was using my previous android watch, wich was a Huawei honor band, and for what it was, it worked great, battery lasted like a whole week, I would get my notifications, use an alarm to wake me up everyday for work, I would see how many hrs I would sleep, but just last week I lost it on a family trip, so now its kinda of an excuse to try an apple watch, im just trying to figure out wich one, and this helped a lot im gonna spend the extra money and get an 8
I love watching your videos even tho I'm a samsung user and heavily into the samsung ecosystem. but your videos do inform me about apple and all their features and ecosystem. Keep up the great work
Thank you and I will do my best!
Hi, I have an apple watch se 2020 that I have had for 3 years and the battery health is at 76% so it keeps dying so is it worth changing the battery on it or should I buy a new se 2?
Hi Simon, 76% is not too bad. The new SE2 has more and interesting features so if you could afford it, upgrading would be interesting. If not, a battery replacement could be worthwhile considering. Software support will stil be available for another 2-3 years.
Thinking about getting a series 9 when it releases and keeping it for 3-5 years would you recommend me getting this Apple Watch? (It is my first one)
I do not know the details of the 9 yet, but if you can wait, I would do so.
Never knew I would like an Apple Watch this much. Mainly bought it for fitness purposes but I do like it for my everyday life aswell. The only thing I dislike is the lack of an always-on display because I went with the SE…
as for me I find apple watch to be useful in tracking how healthy I am. I felt bad if a whole week was spent without seeing the green ring being closed (activity/training ring). the workout route tracking are also cool to see your whole walk/running performance. it shows route you’re taking and pace you had, where you speed up, where you slow down, and average per km pace. I was injured and as I healed my hip my average per km pace got noticably better. heart rate tracking and notification are also great, no need to see your phone for notif, only lift your wrist and only pickup the phone for urgent notification.
Thanks for sharing your experience and pov
I tired switching the galaxy watch for a whole week and I ended up going back to my apple watch. talking to it rather than pulling my phone out is a lot better because it actually works. Apple pay works faster than samsung pay on a watch and typing using swipe is great to use but i use text to speech so it gets my messages out correctly. Only thing I do have an issue and it's just me knit picking is I wish you could have custom notifications tones or ringtones, also I wish that you could use watch speaker to play music instead of having your watch play music through your phone. The coolest feature that I enjoy the most especially when I'm at work or out and about is the walkie talkie feature. Yeah the speaker is a little low when your in a crowd but using it when you don't want to send a text is awesome to use. I hope the next generation apple watch will have a little louder speaker for when yoiur outdoors.
Thanks for sharing your experience
I have a question can I go on runs and listen to Spotify on the SE2 without bringing my phone or owning a cellular version
You can download at least 10 hours (depending on your model) of music and podcasts to Apple Watch so you can listen without the internet.
I got my first ever Apple Watch, Ulta 2. I love it. I got a black case but it doesn’t look as aesthetic and neat with it. So I ordered a transparent one; hopefully that looks better. I want to secure the neat look for many years to come.
Super informative video for those new to Apple Watches. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Do you recommend installing all the updates? Or will it make devices slowers
Yes, I would do it. I know there are conspiracies around that Apple through updates would lead to an earlier end of your device. I do not believe in this, there are other ways to do this :). Updates also lead to the new security patches
I have a Garmin vivo active 4, but I'm considering switching to an Apple Watch and I'm eyeing the SE. As I don't need the always on display being a bright spot in my peripheral vision. And my experience that wrist based blood oxygen scans with the vivoactive 4 are wildly inaccurate. I'll use a cheap finger blood oxygen scanner instead.
What apple watch is the one in the middle?
I'm about to buy an SE 2 in 2 days. I'm not sure what to expect, is 40mm enough? Do I need cellular?
Perhaps this video is useful. th-cam.com/video/8nbA-zLz2Zg/w-d-xo.html. Concerning the cellular: if you normally have your phone with you I would not do cellular. And...enjoy your SE 2
I love watching ur vids they inspire me alot
Hi Joshua, great to hear.
I just got my first Apple Watch coming from a Garmin, it does take some involvement to get used to. Thanks for this round-up!
Hi Carlos, my pleasure
I have a garmin and am thinking of switching. Why did you switch?
@@Mascha_Eleonora Honestly out of curiosity, Garmin makes great watches but after having a few I begun to see them all the same. After a couple of weeks using Apple Watch, I miss my Garmin for workouts but realized that before I only used my Garmin for running and notifications. Apple Watch has a lot more funcionality (like unlocking my iphone and mac, or integrating with my Focus modes) that I am getting a lot more out of it. I actually only miss my Garmin during Series work outs.
I just got my watch today and im very pleased and your channel helps very much!
my pleasure, enjoy your watch
What is the heart rate frequency on the SE 2022 model? How much time does it take from reading to reading?
Not sure, but I think 3-7 minutes. Time for reading takes around 15 secs
00:08 Am curious... your three watches are presented with the Crown at lower left and the shorter buckled band away from the Crown. As a right-hander, is this the most comfortable way for left-handed people wear a watch?
Not sure, I can not speak on behalf of all left handed people, but that is the way I like to wear it this way:)
Very informative information on the watches. Thanks! I love my iPhone 13 mini, but would love for my wife to have the 14!
@bjrmanucduc
I've been a Samsung user for decades but I've been considering switching to Apple and getting the 14 Pro for my next phone. I was a bit hesitant to get an Apple Watch too but your breakdown is so clear and convincing. When I get a chance on the Series 8, it'll be because of you!
Hi Brian, thanks. Please let me know when you get it if you really enjoy it!
@@DionMedia Oh definitely! I also currently have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro so I'll make sure to note the differences and my experience using both 🙂 thanks Dion!
Sharing experiences is useful for everyone. Thank you Brian
Brian, I am Samsung phone and watch user also. I’ll never give up the phone, but will consider changing the watch. Let me know what you think.

0:15 anyways on display" is my favorite feature haha
Can anyone give me their review of spotify music streaming with a cellular apple watch? I am considering paying the 70€ more for a cellular SE but I've heard that it drains more battery life when streaming stuff directly from the watch. I saw reviewers talking about Itunes being fine but what about third party music streaming services like spotify? 😔
Do you, or someone else here in the comments, experience burn-in issues when turning on always on display? Still doubting wether I should turn it on

I've read that Apple Watches are really helpful in college. Are there any specific benefits to having one while studying?
no
Yeah I brought the SE 2 and in interested to see it when I arrives
How it they, dont know take 9 or se 2 for my first apple watch?
Hi Dion! First time viewer and instant Fan! You made things interesting by comparing three Apple watches. Awesome! Which would be my pick? Extra battery life, more features and brighter screen, seems like the latest one wins. Q: Did you find the "two finger tap" feature on the latest Apple watch to work everytime? And do you recommend getting the Apple Extended Warranty? Thanks again! (PS... I hope I win the new iPhone!)
Thanks for the feedback. I am excited to test the two finger feature and I will test it in the upcoming review. I am very curious how this will pan out
The tandem of the iPhone and the Apple Watch is in my wishlist. For sure, they have long lasting battery life. 🙂👍
Thanks again friend
Always welcome
@tematotherescue
Honestly the sole fact that Watch is the only wearable to not mess up with phone notifications is enough of a reason to get one. And the second biggest reason for me personally is the fact that last couple of Watch generations are basically the most accurate smartwatch to track the heart rate. You can even manage to accurately track your calories based on that, with some trickery and adjustment.
The vibration alarm!
Also, how long does the battery take to charge and drain
Depends on the Watch, series 8 and ultra have the capability to use fast charge. It advertised something like 8 minutes of charging is another 8 hours of battery life. For the SE I really don’t know how fast it is.
nice explanation 💯💫
Thank you
Once you showed those straps you got me on board
