I've made exactly the same jump - have you figured out if there's anyway to see your no. of steps and total calorie burn on the watch itself? miss seeing that info just at a glance on my charge HR4!
Yeah that is done in the activity app or add a new watch face and add the steps complication to it. I’m assuming that there is one that shows the info but can’t check for sure at the moment.
I was going to get the Apple Watch ultra but I’m getting the apple series 9 bc it’s less expensive then the ultra I’m in Australia

It's not as good as the Fitbit interface until you get used to it.
I hated my Apple Watch at first. I like it now that I am used to it
I ask Siri to check to check my heart rate.
This was great! I’m 75 years old. My granddaughter gave me her old Apple Watch when she got a new one. Your video was very enlightening. Silly, but my favorite thing was now I can add an item to my grocery list without going to o my phone. I usually think I will add it later if I remember. But almost never remember. Or I tell my husband to add it to his phone but he’s always doing something else and then he forgets. But I always have my watch on so I can do it immediately before I forget. And best of all I can add something to any of the several supermarket’s I go to and also it automatically goes to my husband’s phone. We have shared AnyList. This is so cool. Learned a lot of other things also but this was my favorite. Thanks 👍

Very helpful video..... One thing I didn't catch was if the watch in the video was gps or cellular..... I didn't see a section for that either.

I just got my aws 9 3 days ago. Initially when there’s notification, when I glance on my aw, it shows the content (eg whatsapp text). Now, i think after updated latest os, it’s no more like that. And I never found any settings on notification to enable it the way it was

I just returned my SE 2 today for an S 9 really for the battery life and the phone finder and sleep tracker and so far don’t really see much of a difference really idk I haven’t broken it in yet we shall see. I honestly feel I could’ve kept the SE 2.

Thanks glad you liked it. The series 9 has the least changes from the previous model. If it’s your first Apple Watch then it’s all going to be new for you. I do think next years model will be better but not sure by how much.
I've had my 9 for about 48 hours and was looking for the nearest Apple Store to return it. Your video helped me reconsider. Still not sure if I need that much information on my wrist, but I have 12 more days to decide. I certainly have a better understanding of how this watch can be useful.
Its definately useful and when I do wear it, I find it to be most useful for finding my iPhone and then checking notifications quick. I do leave it on the dresser most of the time but only because I hate putting it on. A slide on band would make it more useful for me but I dunno... It is a great watch and I would love to use it all the time but like you mentioned there are a lot of features you wouldn't use. Now, the safety features and health tracking are very important and life saving at times.
Does the Apple Watch series 9 not have a keyboard on messages? I hear that it doesn’t, only the series 8?

Can you do a video on how waterproof the watch is in a pool, and whether you recommend buying a protective case?
I don’t have the capability to film under water and things like that. But apples web page has the water resistance specs. Pull them up, Google search what you can do with that specific water resistance IP rating and then decide what is best.

Thanks glad the video helped. I wouldn't unless there is something specific you have to have. The Series 9 is basically a Series 8 with a new double tap feature. Stick with the 7 if you can wait for the Apple Watch Series 10 or X whatever they decide to call it. I feel like they will make the bigger changes then.

When you tap Walkie Talkie the first time it asks for contacts. Select one and that's it. I can't wait to use it with my sister when we set up holiday lights- I imagine her out on the street coaching me in the house adjusting the lights in the windows, etc.

Fabulous beginner video, thank you!! I have a question about 24hr time versus 12 hr. I have changed on my apple watch and iphone to 12. It has changed to 12 on iphone but still shows as 24hr on watch. Do you have any idea why it is doing that? Thank you
Thanks so glad that it was helpful. On the Apple Watch go to settings > general > Shut Down. Then press the side button on the Apple Watch to see if it is fixes. If not, then check the Settings for the Apple Watch on the iPhone and see if it is mirroring the iPhone.

As far as I know they didn't remove it. Try restarting the Apple Watch.

Great tutorial! I'm having trouble with talk to text on my Apple Watch 9. Sometimes it works when I tap the speaker icon and then it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated! I hope it's not a defect!!

We just bought the Apple Watch series 9 and was wondering will the crash or fall alerts work and make calls is it’s not the Apple Watch with cellular? Or would it be able to make the call if your phone is in the same area ? Great video and thanks.
As I understand it, it will call through cellular via your iPhone or Wifi if that is available and if neither are available it may even use satellite options to make the call.
I don’t know why when I press the button I’m not getting the apps. Trying to learn as much as I can. I’m a new Apple Watch user.

I always go wifi, rarely ever go anywhere without my phone so it doesn’t make sense to get cellular. Weigh out your planned use

Hi, I was wondering of i can install Facebook Messenger on my apple watch? I have series 9 just like yours but im having hard time putting or syncing Messenger in my AW.
Did you sync your iPhone apps to the watch? Should work. Make sure the app is up to date on the iPhone as well.
I think yeah, but i dont see any apps from my phone to my AW. Im just confused cuz when i type messenger to the appstore in my AW, it doesn’t show.
You need to open the watch app on your iPhone and use the discover tab at the bottom to find the apps you want for the watch. There was an option when you set it up to sync all your iPhone apps with it but maybe you didn’t select it?
Excellent video very detailed and to the point. You seem to cover almost everything! FedEx should be delivering my new Apple Watch Series 9 any moment and I can’t wait! I think the only thing that you didn’t cover that I’ll need is I have the GP cellular version. On how to set it up with my cell phone service. But other than that, I think I got a handle on it!
