Oil Slider enthusiast here, I used the slider to cheese that one section in the Time-Man stage. You take zero knockback when you're sliding at that's hella neat when you wanna speed through levels. Also you can jump out of the slider at any time by tapping up + jump which also lets you do a small double jump as a side effect (which also helps you with speeding through levels).
Gosh. I never knew about so much in this game !! The level editor especially surprised me. I wonder if it were the inspiration for MegaMan Maker..? (The unique checkpoints of this game seems to suggest that, since those same checkpoints can be found in megamaker)
The levels aren't lost to time actually, most if not all of them were archived before the servers went down And surprisingly they were alive until November of 2022 which is ridiculous to think about. Capcom was even considerate enough to issue a warning in advance
yeah i grew up with this game and played it SO much. even just hearing the music makes me so nostalgic... my favorite character was bomb man, i feel like having to aim your bombs properly is really satisfying
2:26 I think they did this because the original Mega Man 1 and 2 had movement like this, I think they were just trying to be faithful to the original lol
when using that legal psp of yours, in controller settings you can calibrate the sticks and there should be an option to remap it to be more like a traditional stick which fixes the issue, cause i had a similar one playing MGS PW
Yes, I Remember Mega Man Powered Up The Best Part About This Is That It Added 2 New Great Robot Masters (Time Man & Oil Man) And I Also Really Liked How Roll And Proto Man Were Playable And The Chibi Art-Style Was Very Cute Also, Why Do You Think There Couldn't Be 6 Installments Of This?
Very charming game. Though imma need the English scripts and dubs to just be calling this dude "Rock" when he's just living day to day in lab assistant mode, this and 11 seemingly making his name "Mega" is weird. Rock can a absolutely still work and keep the pun when not in.... Man mode.
Protoman does make sense, he existed before Megaman
True true

I hope Capcom decides to make a Powered up remake of Megaman 2, I would love to see a remake of that game too.
With how the levels are designed in Powered Up, I think this style would work perfectly for remakes of the gameboy games.
Yes, please do cover Maverick Hunter X. It deserves to share all the love Powered Up gets, if not more!
I second this!

The craziest thing about Powered Up's level maker, is that the servers were up for a very long time up until this year.
Edit: correction. LAST year.
I was your 1,000th subscriber so congrats. Also I like this game.
5:18 You can jump twice with Oil Slider while using it to cancel it.

Finally, a reason to beat bosses with the regular weopon as opposed to self challenges
I had this on PSP! They should rerelease this on Switch.
Shopping for PSP games, definitely want this.
One of the best Megaman games ever! 😍
Proto Man is Mega Man's older brother, he did exist during the events of Mega Man 1. I mean, it's in the name: PROTO Man.

And 3 4 5 6

I LOVE powered up, I've always wanted to play it, but unfortunately I never had a PSP growing up 🥲
Well, emulate it if you want to.
@@D00M89-jq7ym I've tried before at least, but I'm incompetent as hell with that
@@D00M89-jq7ym Oh, trust me. I've tried. I'm too incompetent to set that stuff up. 😭
