I love how you take what seems like a complicated subject and break it down so that it seems so simple.
You have developed an incredible musical talent but you are also a phenomenal teacher.
Awesome lesson. The concept of using triads and playing the 3rd 4th and 6th in relation to the root in each inversion was a light bulb moment...
Many thanks again
I want to play like Jack when I grow up.
Thanks been sailing around with out a rutter in this neighborhood
Great explanation! It never occurred to think of the double stops as elements of the triad chord shapes played on the top three strings. It makes it so much more intuitive.
When I first learned guitar I was playing this kind of stuff just cause I thought it sounded cool. It's really nice knowing why they work. Thanks man
This is why knowing some theory will help your playing. Now I need to go back to Jack's triad course (which I have) and dive in even deeper. Thank you Jack!
Fundamentals of soulful playing...Masterfully presented as always!
Always great to return to and refresh the basics. 👍
Fantastic video with beautiful playing always 🎸👍
This is gold!
Great Lesson Jack! I saw your video playing live, you also have a great voice! Thank you for the great content!!
So melodic! So beautiful! Would love to see a course available for this concept
Love this Jack ❤
So tasteful Jack! 🔥🔥🔥
I've love it! Then, I'm subscribing in my first video watched
You figured out the template of the perfect lesson template - first flawless demonstration to give the viewer motivation and than simple and clear explanation. Great job
Youre awesome bro. I appreciate your vibe
Absolutely fantastic explanation of finding and using Triads.
Y'know, I always catch my self smiling when I hear you playing. There's just something soulful, beautiful, and soaring about the note choices. The only other musician who has the same effect on me when I listen is Pat Metheny (& the late Lyle Mays on piano).
I also want to add that your triad course with Brett is pure gold!! Thanks as ever Mr Ruch!
I always love using double stops but have only had a few that I knew worked. I’ll have to work on learning all of them with this. Thanks!
Hey Jack, love your lessons. You and Guthrie Trapp, Brett Papa. Thanks for everything!
Really great, thank you
thank you, jack. another great lesson.
My pleasure!!
Great lesson. I have been thinking about double stops a lot lately. This helps a lot. Thank you Jack!
Happy to help!!
Fantastic lesson Jack, your musical taste is wonderful, and I would like to play like you!
Many thanks!!
Dang !....that ending composition is just a beautiful thing.....thanks
Thank you!
Merci !😍very useful for me
You should hold on to that 335 Jack. Surely you can find a way to add another one to your Arsenal without letting that one go 😉. I hope it’s another vintage 335 (with either TOM or Bigsby) that you’re getting
Gold
Great lesson again JR! I believe I've already mentioned this to you, but I already have the sister ship 1968 ES 335 to your here in the same great Gibson cherry finish as your other one...........otherwise I'd certainly be quite interested. Jim C.
thanks Jack. This lesson is unlocking one of the doors I have not opened in my playing. Really really appreciate how you give a concept and then apply it to a song or chord progression. Not many others on TH-cam do that. Question on this lesson: are you consciously trying to land on the diads for the chord you are playing over or just staying in the key and moving around to different diads in that key or both. Thanks
Wow! Can't believe you are selling that beautiful guitar! Do you have something else in mind? Or just thinning the herd? This lesson is so helpful! Thank you so much, Mr. Ruch!
Yes. Something else
❤️❤️❤️
Hi, there's no backing track for this on the Patreon site. Could you please add it.🙂
Interested about the nut size and fret size on the 335? 😊
@JackRuch what’s the best way to get in touch regarding lessons? Sent an email to the address on your website but would love to see about options. Thank you!
Great explanation Jack, love the way you break things down. Sweet tone you got there, beautiful guitar, hope it goes to a good home.
This what i was playing when i didnt all the chord changes of course it wasnt structured as how you play it.
New player question, so it might be dumb, but are power chords technically double stops then?
Yep
I don’t understand the thing with the 4th and the 6th… you play the 1,3,5 that constitute the triads. How come you say we get the 4th and the 6th when playing two strings together?
The 4th is the interval between the 5 and the 1, and the 6th is the interval between 3 and 1.
@@richcain123 I just realized a few minutes ago, but thanks for confirming
All 4ths are inverted 5ths, 3rds are inverted 6ths etc.
thank you Jack
Why “Stop”? In Double Stop?
I got $3 🫡 also, was literally thinking about wanting to go deeper into double stops aaaand what do ya know. You just served it right up! Thank you!
