    L5 and lower is degenerative for me, you really helped me find a good route. Thank you sir, you've answered a whole lot of the questions I haven't even thought of asking.

    I was getting regular sore trigger points on SI joints which dry needling even one treatment relieved it but then I found out through constant experimentation that the tennis ball I was using on those points in attempt to passive release (on yoga mat and pillow for head) was actually causing this.
    Fast forward to a serola SI belt. At first it seemed to sure up that area helping me walk better but again experimenting and thinking it seemed to be moving more pain to my strained sacrum AND cutting off circulation until I lossened the belt to where it had no purpose there.
    Believe it or not I experimented using a custom lumbar belt with the SI belt for walking.
    That didn't last long as it seemed to alter my gait and prevent free range of motion of all muscles so I just removed all belts and focused on my gait walking slower and for less distance and gradually building.
    I should figured this out before if I had thought more because I can't even wear pants and regular belts as it cuts off my circulation. Same with gym pants or scrubs that have that narrow lace constricting your circulation especially when you sit.
    Now I wear joggers with a wide elastic strip the right size to keep circulation good and comfort. Was probably more a problem when I weighed more but I've lost a lot of weight.
    Another dumb mistake was using crutches to off load for my sacrum pain which is terrible for the back or using crutches for long distances even with minimal weight on them. Major altered gait affecting joints top to bottom (shoulders, neck, lower back, even shins)

      @@BackInShapeProgram thanks for your reply. I’ve got a large herniated disc L4/L5 and I’m in a lot of sciatica pain for about a month and a half now, and I feel I’m getting the wrong advice, even from the physio. I’m just not sure what is the best strategy at this stage to get off this crisis.
      I chose not to have the injection as I don’t want to mask the problem, but as you can imagine it’s been very tough!! I’m trying to maintain the min such as going to work (I’ve got a standing desk) and also walk around during the day, but I’m afraid I might be making the problem worse.
      I’ll check the website and hope I can get an online consultation? Thanks!

      The best thing to do is start to build from the ground up building strength and support for the lower back, 73 certainly is not too late to start! If you need more help do check out the website for more guidance: backinshapeprogram.com

    I’ve had a car accident that caused fractures in the upper spine, ribs have healed but my back is still very painful. Can’t wear a bra, after a while it causes pain. I find you can’t wear a support belt with a bra. Any ideas?

    • @BackInShapeProgram
      @BackInShapeProgram  ปีที่แล้ว

      You really need to focus on rebuilding strength rather than working the the support belt. I suspect a longer healing time and period of inactivity post accident has led to muscle wasting which will take time and effort to reverse, if you do need help with this check out the website for more information and you can always shoot us an email/dm on any of the platforms too :) backinshapeprogram.com/premium/
