Actually we wouldn't consider Ćevapčići as foreign food in Vienna, since the town has always been a melting pot of central and eastern Europe and parts of the Balkans were Austrian once and so many of the natives here have ancestors from Czech over Hungary to Croatia, therefore Ćevapčići, Goulash, Palatschinken (never say the German word "Pfannkuchen", pancake here 🙂) are Viennese as well. Enjoy your trip!

Ahh that's very interesting, I didn't consider that. It's the same in England, we take many influences from immigration. Where I live we have a small slice of Italian culture which influences our city as there was a lot of people moving from Italy in the 60's. It's very interesting how food can be influenced by the cultures that live in an area and in the same way a good curry in the UK is considered local food, in fact chicken tikka masala is considered by many to be alongside fish and chips as our national dish! 🙂 Thank you very much for commenting and sharing your insight ❤️

@@TeamMcGrath That's a perfect example - Fish and Chips is like our Wiener Schnitzel and Goulash is like chicken tikka masala 🙂
