Miły, ale bardzo powierzchowny film. Niewiele o polskiej ekonomii i historia wyrywkowa. Od Mieszka I - 966 r. do 1989 roku... Jakby nie było I Rzeczypospolitej , najbardziej demokratycznego kraju w Europie i wojen z sąsiadami: Niemcami, Rosjanami, Szwedami, Turkami...

Very interesting video. As human from Czech republic
( which bordel with Poland) I very sad how little Czechs know about his second most culture closest country. Most Czechs know about Poland just they have cheaper foodstuffs and lower alcohol tax and they don't how important is Poland for Czech republic. I hope this video will share more information about this beutiful country. 🇨🇿🤝 🇵🇱

Poles also know little about the Czechia, Poles associate the Czechia with good beer, Prag and transit on their way to holidays in southern Europe. By the way, until the mid-13th century, both countries had a very strong cultural and economic bond. It is worth returning to those traditions because we are a natural complement to each other. Especially since both countries, after many centuries, returned to their original statehood formula, i.e. unitary states with Czechs on one side and Poles on the other. Poland with a Lithuanian- Ruthenian component and the Czech Republic with a German component were completely different countries than 1,000 years ago or today. I am not a nationalist, but I am also not an ignoramus who does not see how important the identity factor is for the identity of Europeans, because Europe without Germans, Czechs, English, Swedes, Poles, French, Italians and all the rest of the nations would be a shapeless mass.

I found a few serious errors:
    1. You illustrated information about the Solidarity movement in the 90s with photos from women's strikes from 2021.
    2. It was not the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 that started the fall of communism, but the elections won by the Polish opposition on June 4, 1989,
    3. The Wawel Dragon was defeated by the shoemaker Skuba,

What a nice and informative video. But as a Pole from Cracow I must clarify that the dragon from the legend didn't just move away... He terrorized the city, demanding weekly sacrifices of cattle and, eventually, young virgins, but a young shoemaker Dratewka stuffed a sheep with sulfur and left it outside the dragon's cave near the Wawel Hill. The dragon devoured the sheep, and the filling was so 'spicy' that the thirsty beast drank so much water from the Vistula River that he exploded. :)

Unfortunately, there are few historical inaccuracies. You should have a Polish historian for scientific consultation.

You're absolutely right-history is a tricky thing, kind of like trying to keep up with all the plot twists in a long-running TV series! 😄 A Polish historian could definitely add some extra flavor to the mix. Thanks for the tip-I'll make sure to bring in the experts for the next episode!

Need to correct that - without “ Solidarity “ movement in Poland with many attempts to topple the soviet regime ( from 1956 , 1970 ,1976 , 1980 - 81 ) there wouldn’t be fall of Berlin Wall as propaganda portrays as a symbol of freedom for countries of Central Europe like Poland , Hungary ,Czechs and many others …. Honour those who fough for freedom with sacrifices of their lives - remember that …

Gdy mowa o Polsce od Bałtyku po morze czarne pokazują współczesne granice etc. Tekst sztuczny. Niestety teraz mnówstwo takich tanich produkcji wątpliwej jakości. I tak mi automat podziękuje za komentarz. Great video.

Thank you for the video. But could you ask Polish people to teach you the correct Polish pronunciation of names?!? Or check on the web reliable sources?!? It sounds so careless, it's like lack of respect to not even try to embrace the simplest rules like letter "w" is pronounced "v". Amidst talking about Kraków I see shot of Warsaw medieval bridge over a moat next to Warsaw Royal Castle. History of Poland, even in a very concise version, could be more complete and coherent. As many other similar videos this one repeats not exactly accurate stereotypes. F. ex. from the film I may have impression that Poles are kind of a very religious indigenous tribe ;-)))
(In all Europe Christianity somehow is mixed with background of local version of mostly Indo-European beliefs).
With all the posivite zest for Poland it is still a kind of subconscient colonial thinking watching Poles from above. Yes, we were treated as colony by Germany, Russia and also Austria. Please do respect countries which had a bad fate, was not their choice to be sold to Stalin by unfaithful attitude of Western allies. Thank you for avoiding so popular error of calling Poland "Eastern Europe". Poland is really the place of mixed influences, and as a part of huge Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was also a transmitter of the Western culture to the Baltic plus Byaloruss and Ukraine. With big respect for national traditions of the nations from the Commonwealth, their difference of mentality from the Russian one ( in spite of years of occupation and cruel persecutions) is also a hereditary of Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. Certainly, we have also infleuences of the East f.ex. dress code of Polish nobility was of Turkish orgin ;-)
    Back to Polish modernity:
From the results of elections, it seems that half of population is at least a little conservative, but there is another half. Young people, especially in bigger cities are rather not religious! And catholicism, like in Ireland, was rather a capsule for preserving nationality during oppression. Really deeply religious people are minority, much more just keep traditions, go to churches.
Summary: after years and even ages of being marginalised Poles are happy of being finally notised. But please put more effort to be more accurate and respectful. Best wishes for you!!!

Your demand doesn't makes sense. English natives, french natives and others, pronounce Polish names as they sounds im their own languages. We in Poland have a rule of pronouncing foreign names as they sound on the oryginal, but this is probably an axception.

5:15 You are talking of "partitions" of Poland hat took place in 1772, 1795, 1795 and lasted until 1918, while illustrating it with Auschwitz Concentration Camp which operated 1940-1945 under German occupation of Poland during WWII. ... How can that be explained?
Also note, Auschwitz was incorporated directly to Germany, according to then German law it was a German land from time immemorial and now part of 3rd Reich to the end of the world.😁
