Really did think I could but you really jazzed me up and lit the fire 🔥 thankful for the experience and being able to challenge myself. Can’t wait to get it to you!
Well....as the BIGGEST Alien fan, I loved watching this take shape. I also love that scene in GMR, so this one really hit home. Beautiful job. You are so creative...RING POP? OMG. That is awesome. Loved it, and congrats on your successes.
Thank you so much! He’s a genuinely awesome dude! I was thrilled that he was happy with the end result!:) look forward to chatting and welcome to the channel
Yes! I’m thinking of doing some shorter videos just talking one basic skill at a time. Can’t wait to see what you got cookin up brotha (also hulk voice haha)
This turned out really cool! It was awesome seeing the new techniques, I’ve seen people use that aquarium grating and it’s something I’ve always wanted to try out. The huge pipes looks awesome, and I never would have thought about piecing out model kit parts. The light and the structure being 360 degrees is just icing on the cake. Really awesome stuff man, I eventually want to do a sci-fi kind of station for my McFarlane Doom figures, I definitely took some notes while watching this! Turned out great!
The aquarium pieces were perfect scale too. If I had a bigger platform, I would have loved to leave the parts with it because it came with cool piping and others pieces. I am going to save some of the pieces and use for a rooftop exhaust because they could definitely double for other props. I bought a big box of those puzzle pipes and figured they would last a while and be good for many projects. I can send you the links for the items for whenever you go to make a Doom dio that’d be sick!
Haha the person I made it for, Jonathan, he does custom artwork and he created a picture with Leo in a scene with Ripley so I tried to recreate the picture he made 😂 thanks for checking it out to the end!
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I'm going to try to build this project because I found it the most beautiful and realistic I've seen here on the internet. Congratulations on your great work. It was fantastic. I would like to have the templates for the columns you show in the video, at 2:29 min. , so I can do it in the same way. Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from Florida! Thank so you much! That comment made my day! Unfortunately I do not have the measurements for the columns. I do remember I made them 1inch x 1 inch. So I used 1 inch thick foam and then measured out 1 inch from the edge. I just used a ruler to cut out the angles and made sure I did it evenly. I think where the columns meet the floor I did .5 inch then angled my ruler to get that cut. The one thing I wish I did when I cut out the shape was just to use a blade. I used my hot wire cutter which left some imperfections so then I had to sand. My suggestion is just use the knife to cut out those crisp angles. Let me know if you have any questions!
It took a while, but I finished. Thank you very much my friend for the inspiration. I thought it looked beautiful, even without having done the outside.
It's so fitting to use Star Wars model parts on this since they used so many random model parts for their original stuff. I love it!
Right? Kind of homage to even the Star Wars builders. Most of the millennium Falcon was just a bunch of discounted model kits 😂
@@thomasgoesnostalgic this hunk of junk?
Great video but the end display with the GMR audio layover was BANANAS! Great video!!!
Thank you! Hope that was a nice touch!
Maaaaaannnnn!!! I cannot wait to get this thing! Such incredible work on your part and you better be proud of yourself!!

Patience was definitely tested with this one haha. Thanks for checking out the video! Really appreciate it!
Great idea using the fish tank stuff. This is very inspiring. Makes me wanna work on a distance.
Go for it! The fish tank parts were hard to work with at first but once I got used to it, it was easier!

Just one thing. The audio commentary after the display sort of dipped down.
Still an AMAZEballs video!
Yea wasn’t sure why:/ might have been too far from the mic but it didn’t sound different while editing unfortunately:/
Those arches by themselves look like those ships from tron
Oooo that’s a good point! I saved the template so maybe a future project! I always see those figures at Walgreens…they have to be discounted by now
Thank you, I like your work .

Hey do you ever list what you use in the description? I'd like to know where you got the lighting
Hey there! I updated description with the items I used for lighting :) both found on Amazon
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!!
Kind of sad you had to paint over the factory graphics of the worker installing pink foam…😢
Haha he was staring at me the whole project judging me
@@thomasgoesnostalgic lol
you need to sort your volume out on your videos i could hardly here you
Thank you, that was around the time I got a new mic and controls were wonky but I have since figured out that problem
You are an artist like Michelangelo.... not the turtle the artist
Haha well I appreciate that
