have you thought about running a half shaft on the throttle? cuts down on turbulence. also blending the material around the screw holes on the backside, in addition to using small socket cap screws...works a treat. much better flow. thanks for sharing your content.
@@fiskshopworx1541 you reduced the diameter of the throttle shaft, pretty much in half. For a lot of big name carbs, you can buy a "slabbed" shaft to swap in...but not so much for 2100 or 2150 Ford flavors. Do a search. It's not tough to do if you can get the shaft out without tearing up the main casting. I have used small hand files and a Dremel to mod mine in the past. These carbs extremely underrated. One or two tweaks won't make a big difference, but use several speed tricks, done properly, they are loads of fun, even on a stock engine.
On a street vehicle that might be good. But if you look at performance carburetors like Holley xp series there is no plenum, they are opened up as much as possible. Just depends on how you are using the engine.

What are half shafts on the throttle? Are you talking about where there blade attached the the shaft?

Check for throttle shaft slop. Its fixable!
Man I've been a fan of the 300 for a long time. I cut out a stock intake to run a 2100 on a 300 man made a big difference. Awesome build
Ford was so far ahead of their time with the big annular discharge boosters. They are just now becoming popular in aftermarket carbs.
I ran this carb on a 2300 dirt track racing and love these carbs. They made more power than the Holley's in stock form.
The choke horn creates a plenum for the venturis. Maybe remove the plate from the choke but leave the air horn?
