5k is basic for investor training, but a real estate course doesn't teach you investing, only the law.
@jakecopeland7845 however taking that class and spending a free 6months in the field will teach you a lot especially with TH-cam university and actually learning your market and not trying to become a slumlord or take advantage of other people.
Real Estate courses don’t teach you the business, it teaches you the legalities….but I get your point

The problem is not the fact that this man scammed them. The problem is that these people did not learn the industry and the field for themselves to be able to determine if he was talking real sense from an expert viewpoint. Saying, "Y'all not believing in yourself" and "You can make $100,000 in 90 days" is not specific, tangible information that a potential investor can use to check it against the current market's activities. You need to become a student of what you want to master later. That's the true issue with these types of scams.
These people must not have been paying attention to the state of the economy post Covid. With rising interest rates and high inflation I wouldn’t be making any big money moves unless it was absolutely necessary and thoroughly researched and planned out. Even buying a car used or new shouldn’t be taken lightly.

How many recent instances of real estate fraud people have been exposed, and numerous tips on what people should and should not do? People are still handing over money to these same scams over and over in spite of warnings from every which way. That way doesn’t teach you how to make money therefore Free is expensive! I invested $300 in my education however and turned around and flipped my first property and made $10k. College will only teach you how to get a job.

Just because he/she is from Your community Does Not mean he will be more trustable than someone else. For any kind of investment, Research, Research Research. Do Not Fall for get rich quick in 30/60/90 days. Even the stock market has a very high fail rate, unless you are able to invest millions and go long term. Read the fine print of all contracts and NEVER EVER sign on the spot, no matter if they tell you "you need to get this deal before it's gone". Pay your own lawyer to review the contract beforehand. Hope these people get their hard earned money back from this shyster.
