The ex-girlfriend of Clarence Thomas (a retired judge) said every job he got was through affirmative action. It's how he got into Yale. He was a fan of the Black Panthers as a young man, but switched to being a conservative because he figured he would stand out more as one of the few black people in the Republican Party and it would help him get ahead. He's an opportunist who wants to pull up the ladder behind him.

Why in the world would anyone want to judge people based on their skin color? This was a great decision. Everyone should be given equal opportunities, not equal outcomes.
Saying race can be considered on one's application but not with regard to admission is like putting food on someone's table while denying them the right to sit at the table.

We wouldn't have had a bone to pick with affirmative action if the Democrats didn't ignore our complaints about it. They expected us to be the sacrificial lamb for racial equality, and are the only ones shocked that we weren't just going to go along with it. So, you should blame the Democrats for their inaction that alienated our community on this issue.

As an Asian, we are constantly bombarded by our parents to be the hardest worker, to get to the top grades, to get that 100+ in every test and assignment, so that we can get into the best schools…and then we are rejected because they need one more black/Latino student that got the lower grade than us…I say that affirmative action hurts everyone, especially Asians…but no one talks about that…we are a minority too…
PS: legacy admissions should also hit the road…

The problem here is that African American students are not performing as well as other ethnicities on SAT tests. THAT is the problem. The solution to that problem is certainly not accepting the fact that they do not score as well and giving an allowance for low scores.
Praying people know for sure that there is One who holds Court in the "Heavenlies." And by prayer, we appeal these judgments all the way to the 'Courts of Heaven,' where politics aren't involved.
