Thank you! It's always nice to have a reporter on-site at conventions to be able to capture information and do interviews. I think I'm technically still behind with HeroQuest because I never made a video about HeroQuest Day and Knightfall (and I might do that even though it's been over a year), but I'm glad to be caught up to the most recent news anyways. The slower release schedule enabled me to catch up, after the whirlwind year of releases last year
small errata: the final First Light dice are actually identical in colors to the ones in the 2021/2022 GS. like the cover, this was updated after influencers got their unboxing samples.
Great video, liked and subscribed! I'm looking forward to the release of FL. Pity we can't have it for Christmas Day but nonetheless, still happy it is coming soon.
The best way to upgrade Hero Quest is with more Hero Quest. This would be an excuse for me to get a 3rd copy (I have a classic & Mythic AH edition) so I could finally play gravity land.
From what another viewer commented, it looks like the dice will be the same as the 2021 base game. Much like with the old box art being on the influencers' boxes, some of the components were still not the final version. There is still a possibility that the dice will be bone coloured, but I guess we will find out for sure in a couple months.
The furniture should have been 3D cardboard. I even believe that was a miss step of the kickstarter version. Full color 3D cardboard just had a greater impact in creating the setting in the 90’s version than the arguably better quality unpainted full plastic of the KS version.
Yeah all that AI does is scrape from a dataset and combine it together. I will say that the soullessness of AI makes it pretty good at creating horrific demons and other creatures like that. I played around a bit with the Bing photo AI once, and in that instance the disturbing artifacts only helped to increase the creepiness of the images. But it's definitely not a replacement for actual artists who have skill, understand anatomy, have unique styles and pay attention to small details. It can be a good prototyping or visualization tool, but that's kind of it.
SIR DAVID RETURNS!!!! (welcome back buddy) fantastic reaction & thanks for the shout out

That is good to know! I wonder what made them change their minds about the new colours for the movement and attack dice

Hey it's that guy, SIR DEATH!
Some images I have seen showed the dice as bone colored like the original wooden dice. I hope that’s the case.

What is to base size of the dragon? Guess 40mm
same size as the Giant Wolves and boss Ogres' bases. roughly 1x2 inches.

The best thing about Hero Quest is the Dragon
A.I. all looks the same. Boring. Hire the Artist.
