I love how dark the intro is. Epona is stolen from Link, Link is dragged around by Epona, Link falls into a tree trunk and has his first real encounter with probably the scariest Zelda villain of all time.
Then he screams in horror as he is turned into a scrub moments later, then you find out you're wearing the face of a dead child. Once you're done with that you must play the repeat the day over and over watching the same people suffer in different ways as a moon proceeds to kill everyone- yea this game is dark all he way through
this games cutscenes and the actual game are much more entertaining than ocarina of time,the storyline is great and the skulkid is my favourite character this game could be my favourite in the series all because of him
The giant’s cutscenes are so much prettier here for me. Never liked that green light that was in the 64 Version. So much of the lighting and character models, especially the character models, all look so beautiful in this version. It’s easily one of my favorite remakes of all time.
there's a really good article about how this game is actually a spiritual journey of Link's grief over missing his friend...and how eventually he overcomes that grief it's bittersweet but i think in the end that's the case. I think Link eventually abandons the search for Navi recognizing he might not find her but it doesn't change the many moments they shared with each other

You should actually respect the art by playing through the game yourself, the game works best in an interactive medium and this video is missing over a quarter of the cutscenes because of their optional nature.

One thing I don't understand: In the last cutscene with the Mask Salesman, he walks off then... Disappears. I was told this was because of the limitations with the N64 and how it dealt with render distance. If that is the case, why does he still disappear in this remake? Was it intentional?
This game has my favorite version of link, Which of course is Young Link, Other then Skyward Sword Link, I think this version of link is the most interesting. Toon Link is more emotional though.
The game was truly spectacular, however I do wish they had added a little more expression to Link, I get that the whole concept that Link is a character to merge the player's personality with thus 'Link-ing' them into the game and with that in mind Nintendo don't want to give him too much of a defined personality. But in cases like at the end when the giants are struggling to hold up the moon after Majora possessed it, his face is pretty blank :I
I like how both games somehow get across that Ocarina Link was a boy in a Man's body, and in Majora Link is a Man in a boy's body, so good at capturing what it feels like to go to war and then come back from war

@사서빈 oh, no, I totally disagree, its subtle but every Link has a personality, at least with windwaker link you definitely get a laid back surfer dude, I would say a boy being pushed into war and a boy coming back from war are both suppose to be characterizations. some of it can come down to just being resonant with the thematactic tone of that game, like twilight princess link is cutesy and a little emo, and somehow a little more submissive. but I would say that they make majora link more of a deadpan character because dramatic events happen with fewer screams he would do in Ocarina, like no running away from the saria at the bridge for majora link, that's an ocarina link kind of thing, windwakre link would play it cool but make an awkward face, and twilight princess link would lean into the adorkable-ness
@사서빈 well I thought the Link's back story was more shocking and disquieting, and he was having a reserved reaction, kind of taking in the death of his mother. idk I never felt that Link really got caught up in the Hero of Time thing, if he cared why not hang out with Zelda and be treated like royalty? but I do agree Majora felt much more like His journey, like he has to save everyone but it feels like its out of his internal motivation getting the job done than it is him fulfilling his duty or calling. But I guess with Majora's link I got the whole "there is no going back " vibe you get from war movies, like Link is trying to find navi but he cant go back to the time when they were friends because he just cant be that person any more after what's he's gone through, ironic for the hero of time. but that's also part of the ptsd aspect of it, he looks exactly the same, but the weight is there, idk maybe I am reading into it, but I would argue they have that nuance to the character

This doesn't have all the cutscenes. The scenes during the credits where it just shows the masks floating in front of a black background are revealed as extra cutscenes if you collect that mask in the game. It looks like you didn't collect all the masks, unfortunately.
Where's the cut scene when you're either in Clock Town or in Termina field outside the Astral Observatory for the first time as Deku Link when the Clock Tower strikes 12 on the final day?
Don't I get the feeling that time link and wild link can relate to each other on one thing they save all the lives of Hyrule but eventually they will die. I think it's very fitting to say that Link from the breath of the Wild and the Link from the Ocarina of Time will have a deeper friendship with each other and remind themselves that they are not alone in the afterlife. Especially about the hell they have to go through as fallen heroes of the Zelda universe.
I played the n64 version when I was a kid and absolutely loved it, with that statement made you'd expect me to be a nostalgic fan who hates the 3DS version. Guess what!? I am not, I own a Nintendo 3DS and have this game and I can't tell you how many times I've replayed it cause I can't get tired of it. I am one of the rare cases that think this one is far superior to the original in every little aspect and rather than being annoyed by the slight changes, I actually find them refreshing as it felt like playing a game for the first time and not just a more detailed and smooth version of the source game. I actually think Majora's Mask 3D is a better remake than Ocarina Of Time 3D tho I love both games with all my heart.
I really respect how this game sort of breaks the rules of the other Zelda games and sort of works as a alternate work of things
