What I love is how the fight slowly reveals more of the Mask's nature: first just a creepy floating mask, then a hyperactive childish prankster, then a sadistic oppressive torturer.
I love how Majora's Incarnation acts like an all-powerful spoiled child, really sells the idea of it being a deity that causes chaos and sees the world and its inhabitants as playthings
The spirit trapped inside the mask is Nergal, Termina is Babylon, and the Fierce Deity is Ninurta in the form of Marduk or Ashur. That battle was between Satan and Lucifer.
Major as mask isn’t terrifying but the back of it scarred my eight year old self. I still have nightmares about the tentacles grabbing me and eating me alive as I scream in agony.
Breaking news. The creepy-faced moon nearing Clock Town suddenly dissappeared, along with a mask. People have been thanking a little boy named Link for this, and we aren't sure why. Now for our weather report..
Both wild Link and this link are the only ones who understand when it comes to having the weight of the world on their shoulders, especially when it comes to saving the world. Of all the other links in the Zelda franchise, breath of the wild Link and Ocarina of Time /Majora's Mask Link will always stand above all the rest.
Props to the level designers for making the final boss just that much scarier than the original game. The final room is much larger, and that makes everything feel that much more grand and less claustrophobic, but far more sinister.
Leo Howler What are you saying, the quality is better but that doesn't mean this is scarier than the n64 version. Actually in that version it has a better effect on the masks part that reminds me the masks of goosebumps series.
I always thought their reaction to the happy mask salesman was interesting... when he appears the fairies and skull kid get scared and start shaking. In the beginning tatl said he gave her the creeps also. He’s definitely not just a normal person in the game and there’s more to him than he lets on. He’s one of the only people who can go between termina and hyrule, he vanishes and appears, he knew the moon would crash in 3 days and seems to have intimate knowledge of other mysterious subjects, his movements are just odd, and more. Even in OOT people allude to him and his shop being strange. Hmmm...
I'd like to imagine that the happy mask salesman is an emissary for the goddess of time to test Link or another omnipotent figure that took interest in his accomplishments and tested him himself for whatever reason
And if you think about it, the sale's man in OoT knews about Ganondorf, how I know that? He is the only one in all Hyrule you can't see in Kakariko or else.
deku butler's son death was the saddest and botw 2 just doesn’t care about the hero of time and the happy ending fo majora's mask was more emotional than the sad ending!

You know, for doing choices like, getting Anju and Kafei together, you'd think they'd be undone after playing the song of time. But, even if you do go back in time, as long as you have achieved the couple's mask and finished the game, the deed won't be undone. Anju and Kafei still get married. The same goes for all of your actions, Lulu has her voice back, the Deku Princess is saved, the Gorons are okay, all of the deeds are not undone. The reason? Likely the masks themselves. The Happy Maskman said it himself; the masks are filled with happiness. Happiness that cannot even be shattered by temporal interference.
pwyc I heard this somewhere... The reason it is dancing is because in the Manga, the Fierce Deity played a song that made Majora dance three days before dying.
That's how you know Michael Jackson was that big of an artist where an enemy in a children's/young adult's Nintendo video game does his dance. Not an imitation/lookalike dance, but his actual dance.

Anju and kafei, the ranch girls, the zora band, all of termina get their problems solved and live through an apocalyptic event and only the mask salesman knows it was link (And given he is also a dimentional traveler from hyrule it ends up not counting).
The more I think about it, the more I realize that Majora's Wrath is similar to Din, the godess of power. Not only is it the most powerful of the Majora stages, but it's also has similar shape to, as ChuggaConroy would say, "the female anatomy".

im not sure, but i think the room you fight majora's mask in represents the void that the mask was sealed away into by the ancient tribe that once used it for bad purpose.
(repost from another Majora's Mask final boss video) I have a theory that Majora is Zelda's very own Cthulhu and/or Freddy Krueger, mostly powerless to do anything in reality but almost all-powerful in the illusion-world that is Termina. Termina is a perverse version of the world Hyrule is located in and Majora's plane of power. It can only be accessed by whoever wears Majora's Mask and whoever Majora's champion banishes to it (in this case, Skull Kid). Majora is the god of dreams, nightmares and insanity, terrifying and seemingly omnipotent, but that is just what it wants you to believe. When unpowered (like in BOTW), Majora's Mask is simply a deeply cursed mask that radiates an aura of fear and despair, making the wearer not seem human (why enemies in BOTW don't attack Link when he is wearing it). In Breath of the Wild, the mask is likely unpowered or the Golden Goddesses protect Link from its influence since they are always watching and protecting him. When powered, it places the wearer's mind in a dreaming state permanently until taken off and makes her/him slowly go insane and forces them to spread Majora's influence in the real world. When the wearer of Majora's Mask loses their usefulness to Majora, it either kills them or keeps them as a brainwashed slave until it can find a new champion. At the end of the day, Majora enjoys causing pain, both physical and psychological and can be considered a worse villain than Ganon(dorf) because of that, since it's end game would be eternal suffering for all beings in all dimensions, while Ganon just wants to rule them with an iron fist. The Moon Children are Majora's creations, children and angels. They are truly as innocent as regular children and live and grow up inside Majora's Moon (the regular Moon and the Majora-controlled one are different), which can be considered Majora's version of Heaven. As their power grows they eventually turn into Happy Mask Salesmen, which serve as Majora's agents to spread its influence across different dimensions. Majora ('s Mask) is a good concept in my opinion, and I hope in future Zelda games they will have a deeper story like the Witcher games and involve a plot or subplot about Majora.

Ah this fight, When I first played this game years ago I had not upgraded my sword or magic so this fight was absolute hell for me, though it made finally bringing down this boss so satisfying.
the theme of the first phase gives me a feeling like "I lost, all hope is gone". hearing it definitely makes me have such a grim sensation, like the moon was actually going to destroy the world
On n64 I did this fight without getting any stray fairies and gilded sword and found it pretty easy, u just have to watch out for the whips also start the fight as Zora link and then incarnation and wrath as normal link and don’t bother using mirror shield
Am I the only one that instead of going out to party when I was teen, and all the time now, but when I was a teen, there would be weekends that instead of me going to bike trail party's, I got some weed, and a few drinks, and stayed in all night to see what I could get done, in any of The Legend Of Zelda on a new save, sometimes without collecting heart containers, I don't know but I can barely finish games on current gen consoles, before getting board, but any game for the N64, I could literally stay home by myself and create my own walkthroughs, and you needed to beat the game over and over to complete a walkthrough guide, and I swear that was so much more interesting then getting sloppy drunk and high every night.

So why not?
Vordigon breath of he wild is a very god game in my opinion.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a reimagining of the different Majora’s Mask forms, that sounds pretty coolio.
Vordigon Nintendo: *releases a 10/10 game that is one of the most fun games of 2017 and everyone seems to love
You: wow that is garbage
The game over theme plays in the villain's room.
THAT'S WHEN YOU KNOW STUFF IS GONNA GO DOWN
All-powerful object infused with ancient dark magic: lemme just fly at this kid like a frisbee.
That's how you know Michael Jackson was that big of an artist where an enemy in a children's/young adult's Nintendo video game does his dance. Not an imitation/lookalike dance, but his actual dance.
3:50 Majora's hidden job, it works as a ballerina XD
And his true identity is Michael Jackson.
Wearing the Bunny Hood makes this battle a lot easier since Link moves much faster.
What if you gave them away for the fierce deity mask?
@@floopydoof6823use the fierce deity’s mask
This game really is a master piece.
Does anyone think that Majoras incarnation reminds them of Ricardio from adventure time?
Randy Butternubs He's based Majora.
... Why have I never thought of that?
Hero of the sky: I fought a demon lord.
Hero of winds: I sailed across a massive ocean to beat up Ganondorf.
Hero of time: amateurs.
HoW: What was that punk?
Hero of the Wilds: AMATEURS!
For a game that was rushed, it was amazing, will never forget the amount of fun I had while playing it
I remember I did this boss with just a half of a heart, literally a no hit, I can't even imagine how I was able to do that
I played Majora's Mask in 2020 and every time I hear or see the credits I get very nostalgic. It's one of the best Zelda games I've ever played.
majora incarnation is so adorable
The first think I said when I 1st saw that thing was HELLLLL NAWWWWWW
Are you ok?
Majora's incarnation is an absolute madlad
8:25-8:27 Your average crack addict in a nutshell: shaking like a maniac.
Even when I 100% this game, I still fight this boss as reg Link because it makes the fight feel more worth it
Apparently I'm the only one who cried.
Beep___Beep__Boop___ _Meow I'm sure you aren't.
nope. i'm always a wreck after zelda games.
That's where you're wrong kid!
Nope

I never finished this game, and I really wish I had. This looks so cool....
When I was kid, in 2008 I think, my brother was playing this game on emulator after finished Ocarina of time. I hated the end because the asiat dude with mask even say "thank you" after all Link does for him and the world.
asiat dude? you mean happy mask salesman?
@@brianmayfangirlXD yes
Majora's Mask's incarnation and wrath is truly terrifyingly disturbing to look at.
It just looks so hideous...
But it also looks kinda cute at the same time lol
edit: hi there
Beyblade at 5:38??? lol
What could have been just 3 days for normal people, for Link that could just have a lot of years and who knows how many times he tried to stop the unstoppable

That’s not the Moon, that’s the Sun disguised as a moon.
Fighting Majora's Incarnation is the only time I have felt like I was on every drug ever at the same time
way too go sunny!!! you have shared the knowledge:)
5:19 I've watched enough Hentai to know where this is going..
Blueberrydog Same **lmao**
And I've seen enough hentai that I actually see ur profile pic molesting an anime girl

Nobody warned me about Majora's incarnation before I played this! Creepy bastard 😅
This was actually more intense and engaging than TOTK's Ganondorf fight (1000th comment here).
lol my sister is trying to do this boss fight right now
why do you think that anyone would care?
because she made me make this comment
lol
Did she beat it?
did she ever beat it
I'd forgotten that there's ACTUAL mechanics to these fights that aren't just "Destroy it with the Fierce Deity mask".
Not to much different from the N64 version, But very much worth getting this remake for sure.
Ah this fight, When I first played this game years ago I had not upgraded my sword or magic so this fight was absolute hell for me, though it made finally bringing down this boss so satisfying.
Imagine being the most powerful and living artifact in existence, only to be defeated by a child.
He wasnt just any child. He was the hero of time.
Isn’t Majora mentally as a child?
the theme of the first phase gives me a feeling like "I lost, all hope is gone". hearing it definitely makes me have such a grim sensation, like the moon was actually going to destroy the world
3:19
I cannot be the only one who was laughing everytime Marjora's incarnation runs like that
10:25 I hate that the 3DS version removed the detail of the Happy Mask Salesman’s face becoming a mask on his back before he disappears.
On n64 I did this fight without getting any stray fairies and gilded sword and found it pretty easy, u just have to watch out for the whips also start the fight as Zora link and then incarnation and wrath as normal link and don’t bother using mirror shield
Incarnation = Deku Link. And the shield is a god send.
Can't believe i finally've beaten this game for the first time yesterday
I always felt the easiest way to fight Majora was as Zora Link. Just charge and release the boomerang blades and it's done.
4:29
Did they use the sound/noise from the G-Mutant from RE2?
Link goes back to look for Navi, but wait... where is he going? It seems he’s walking over to a therapist
Such a great game. I have the gold/holographic n64 game, and it’s in fantastic condition. Got lucky on that one
never in my life would i have thought id have to fight the final boss of a zelda game that MOONWALKS
