damn bro the ride is klean af ....i noticed to 2 speakers on ram ducts and thought hmmm ok ....then i see the 6'' sub under the swingarm and im like oh shit son
Thank you for this! I have a 2002 GSXR 1000 but the layouts are the same. I’m about to change out the factory air intake ducts with custom RAM AIR intake ducts and came across this! Which now I’m going to add this process! Great step by step instructional video!
Yeah I was putting custom speakers in my ram air ducts and realize that the cushion was missing. I found a site that had the layout with the part numbers and decided to put it online. Glad I could help
Yeah you should subscribe to my channel I have a lot of things on 2004 GSX r1000r our bikes are basically the same. Maybe you can put me on to some custom things you're doing to your bike also
@@JOATD oh I gotcha. Looks like I'm going by the bike dealership to buy replacements. I guess I can live with another 10 years before I have to replace them lol
Yes this can affect the engine's performance. You lose the straight cool airflow to the intake. Remember everything sucks in cool air and lets out hot air the more cool air going into the motor the better the performance.
Runs fine for a few miles. As i ride more delayed throttle response then when it does kick in its surges. Only happens when i ride good distances around town. Changed spark plugs and new air filter and oil change was done today. Same problem. Could be a fuel issue...Guy before me bypassed a module i think...
be sure to buy stainless sometimes those kits if you look at what material it really is ...one time i saw aluminum - plastic those words dont belong together not on my bike bolts ...lol be safe and never skimp on the cost of your safety @@JOATD

@@JOATD consider it done!
Thanks for getting to the point and the part number
You're welcome and No problem
I wonder if you can use rubber weather seal in place of the foam?
If you read through the comment somebody said that Home Depot door sealant is the same.
@@JOATD I saw that but is it still foam? I'm thinking of using rubber so it doesn't fail again. I'm just not sure how hot it gets down there
@@ninja63639 I don't know if I would use rubber the foam still allows a little air to escape. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a Pores material.

Hi where can i buy those gsxr grips bro? Thanks great video
Thank you and yes I can get you the link.

@@JOATD thank you so much 💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏼
Home depot, door sealings
Its the samething
@@JOATD yeap
Can the absence of this foam really affect the performance of the engine when the hot air from the engine flows directly into the intake box....?
Yes this can affect the engine's performance. You lose the straight cool airflow to the intake. Remember everything sucks in cool air and lets out hot air the more cool air going into the motor the better the performance.
If you look in the comments someone states that you can use Home Depot door seals cheaper and it does the same thing.
I saw the comment about the door sealant. I will go tomorrow and get some. Hopefully it fixes my problem.
@@da35apprentice what problem are you having

Does it have any problem if you ride it without the air intake ducts
Oh yes it's like when you inhale but before your lungs feel some of the air is escaping.
yeah definetly replace if yours are missing

T25 where did you get all of them?
The cushions for the intake?
@@JOATD no you said you changed all the bolts to t25 instead of having all those different Allen heads
@@MrCstone1 I got the screw set from eBay. I just typed in the name of my bike and fairing screw set
