Main problem with every nerf:
Normal people: Kept jamming but its pretty comfortable
Coop: I cannot jam it, but the grip is too small.

I'm not an HVZ guy, I'm more into impromptu, small-med scale wars at parks and houses.
It looks SO much better than the Retaliator, and with little modification, it can hold 18 mags. It just seems superior.

Probably comes as old news but Nerf fixed the mag-well issue and the new Modulus Recons will accept all nerf mags like it's supposed to. There are a few tips out there on what to look for to make sure you get the new version but if you do have the old version just call nerf customer service and they will offer to replace it with the new one, just thought it worth mentioning.

I somehow opened by recon Mk2 and out it all back together but i somehow made it slam fire without using the trigger. is that a problem?

I bought one of these blasters fully expecting to modify it to where it would take all magazines. Especially since I found out the mod was so simple.
Before I started, I chunked a, 18 round mag into it to mark what I needed to cut out. Then realized that Nerf has changed the design of this gun so it will take any magazine without modification.

I think they made a 2nd version of the Recon Mk. II that could take other mags.

Coop i do not know why your mk2 recon doesent allow the mags with a bump because mine does. It works with the modulus 10 round banana mag.

I find the stock comfortable, but that might just be me (it’s also a bit shorter than the Retaliator stock, I noticed). For me the biggest issue with the stock is how it doesn’t lower down like the Retaliator‘s, so I can’t reliably aim down the sights. And I was never able to figure out how to hold the front barrel when attached to the blaster, so I end up just keeping my off hand on the magazine when I’m firing it.
Here's a tip: if you have one of these, there is a bolt looking think under the barrel. If it has 5 dots and goes out a bit, the magazine well won't work with big ones. If it has 3 dots and doesn't stick out, it can hold all mags.
Recon mark 2 its a replacement for Recon CS-6 :)

My 18 Dart Mag works in the Recon Mk2 and the Banana Mag does as well
And mine doesn't have a tac rail under the barrel
That's the new version they remade to accept 18 dart clips. On your barrel does it look like a tactical rail but not work because of extra plastic, or is it completely gone? My rail looks like a rail, but I can't use it because it has plastic blocking it.

Word is, "yes," but I haven't tested it myself.
There is a small bit of plastic inside the gun that needs to be sanded down not every mag you own
I dremelled out the piece of plastic in the mag well that stops the 18 mags from working and it works fine now.

Newer models have new shell cuttings around the magwell so they are compatible with the 18 and 10 round mags
Use a Grip Blaster, put it on the barrel attachment, it gives you a literal pistol grip but you can remove the barrel and just shoot with the Grip Blaster alone if you wish. Then the barrel, still attached to it, acts (kinda) as a little scope.
Another thing to do with the Grip Blaster and the Recon MKII is put it on the left side rail if you want. This acts as a horizontal grip but really only works if you are left handed.
what im confused about is i have one of these and i could use any magazine but cant attach grips to the front part

Thanks for the info, I found this model on the side of the road while on a walk, it was missing the barrel extension and the back piece and it's jammed, trying to unjam it now
Please take a new look at the recon mk2 because I tried it and the 18 and 10 round mags and they do fit just as well

50% of the time I try to prime my retaliator it puts a big hole in my dart and jams
I remember buying the retaliator and it jammed the day I got it. I returned it and got another one that jammed a few weeks later. I don't have a retaliator anymore but my friend does and it jams 24/7. Nice to see they fixed that with the recon mk2

I personally don't like flashy intros because they either 1) consume more than 5 seconds or 2) are way too rushed and just seem overly busy. My new intro is quick, simple, and (in my opinion) catchy. If you don't like it, it's a good thing it's on screen for less than 4 seconds. If you want to add up the 'ums' and 'ahhs' in other Nerfers' videos from a lack of editing, I assure you my intro's

For some reason, my MKII seems pretty significantly underpowered. When firing it and the Strongarm or Hammershot side by side, the difference in velocity is obvious.

Besides the ammo incompatibility, the second biggest drawback has to be the tacti-cool rail on the top since you could just easily rip off the scope or attachment you have.

How to fix the magazine incompatibility issue? Just use sandpaper or dremel to sand the little angle on the mag well

You can actually fix the Recon MKII, and make it use 18 round mags, by using a dremel and sanding off a few centimeters of white plastic between the Handguard and Magwell

hey Coop what are the handle Gardens Dremel out in the Magwell it'll let you accept banana 18 and if you Dremel out enough it'll allow drums that's what I did to mine
The barrel extension dose kinda help , because it keeps it on the air longer to hit the person on the other team.

My Recon MKII has a little notch for the bigger magazines to fit into. Your's also looks like the magazine and the hand guard are closer together than mine.

In later models of the Recon Mk 2 they have fixed the mag well. I should know because I have one and use 10 round banana mags from the Modulus ESC 10 in it all the time.
Maybe you can cut the bumps ( 18 dart mag) and the part of the 6 dart mag that sticks out and paste them together. (Youll need some paint job and esthetic jobs but it can come out cool
This one has 5 dots on the muzzle side of the mag well, a newer version was released with three dots on that exact piece and accepts all mags.

I bought this gun a week ago and I've tried both the 18 dart mag and 10 dart banana mag and they both work in this. Nothing is modded or defective.
My model was a dud: No tac rail on the attachment and no jam release. Luckily, I didn't use the rails and It never jammed soo...
But, now I rebuilt it and modded it so I can prime it whenever I feel like it XD

My friend has that and the rapidstrike mag and I put it in the gun all the time and it works
