    Piastri made possibly the best move in F1 history, how many race wins would he have if he just went with the alpine seat like they expected him to do?

      Absolutely a great move from Piastri's pov!

      Piastri also cost McLaren a fortune... the 20 million Ricciardo buyout, the "undisclosed sum" paid to Alpine in that out-of-court settlement. Not to mention how he selfishly fumbled Norris' chances for drivers' title (which in itself is priceless, with a world champion driver McLaren could write their own numbers on the checks sponsors would happily throw at them).
      But hey, at least we're getting a good laugh out of this drama. 😂

      Piastri is a clown and so is his team McLaren. I mean giving up 7 points for Norris LMFAO 😂😂😂

      @@aoife1122 Please get your facts straight and not talk through your ass. Piastri wasn't under contract to Alpine when he signed with McLaren. Here read this you idiot ( The CRB assessed both agreements from a legal standpoint - and they agreed unanimously that the only contract which was valid was that between McLaren and Piastri. As a result, Piastri was entitled to drive for McLaren for 2023 and 2024.Sep 2, 2022). He didn't cost McLaren a cent...McLaren was the one who approached Webber, Piastri's manager and offered him Ricciardo's seat in 2023 and they were the ones who had to negotiate a deal with Ricciardo to buy out his contract. Why should Piastri give up wins so that Norris can stand on the top step of the podium and tell everyone how good he is. If he can't win the championship on his own then he doesn't deserve to be the champion. As it stands, McLaren have bent over backwards to favour Norris and he is still chasing more than 50 points. I have never read such rubbish from a hater and wtf has he done to you to try and put him down?...are you a Norris fan??..well that would make sense and you have my sympathy because Piastri will be a champion long before Norris, if he even gets the chance to win one. Piastri won't need his help or anyone elses, he will win simply because he is the best out there. Deal with it.

    I guess you didn't understand what really went on between Oscar Piastri and Alpine. Piastri was the reigning F2 champion. The year before that Oscar was the F3 champion and the year before that he was the Renault Cup champion however couldn't get a seat in F1 in 2022 so he faithfully sat out the whole year not racing waiting for Alpine to to do something for him. Alpine however was not concerned about offering Piastri an F1 seat in 2023, they were only focused on resigning Alonso to drive for them again in 2023 which would have left Oscar sitting out 2 years without a drive and probably ending his aspirations of ever driving in F1. Oscar's manager, Mark Webber, seeing what was going to happen as Alpine were sure Alonso would sign another contract entered into discussions with McLaren's Zac Brown who I believed approached Webber with an offer for a seat in 2023. As Alpine hadn't even bothered to negotiate a renewal contract with Piastri meant Piastri was free to leave. Any driver would have done the same thing. If Oscar was offered a seat at Alpine for 2023 I'm 100% sure he would have stayed. However Alonso blindsided Alpine and signed with Aston Martin but Piastri was no longer free. As for your comment that Piastri left Alpine for a better seat, McLaren at the time was at the back of the field, it was not a better seat. Get your facts right before making accusations.

    • @simonkevnorris
      @simonkevnorris หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, Alpine messed around with Alonso offering a one year contract rather than the two years Alonso wanted. RhineStone Martin came knocking.
      The Alpine contract with Piastri had expired when they announced he was driving for them.
      What a shambles of management at Alpine.

    Sorry - Failure in the Senna/Prost incident. All you have to do is look at the influence of Jean-Marie Balestre in the first incident to see that it wasn't conspiracy theories. Not that I approved of what Senna did the next year, but Balestre screwed him.

    The worst thing about the Lando Oscar deal is neither driver had anything to do with the situation and it ruined the race for both of them.

  • @brucethomson9923
    @brucethomson9923 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Piastri - Look - if it was Norris in Piastri's spot - you'd be quite happy - right? It's simple - they pitted Norris to ensure that he finished in front of Hammy. In doing so they advantaged Norris but didn't want to mess with Piastri's strategy knowing that they could play the team game... it is - after all - a team sport.
    Speaking of which - you missed the most glaring and perhaps awful of "disrespectful moments"; San Marino 1982.

    ... and if you're going to show Ocon being aggrieved, please include how Alonso helped him win a race in Hungary and then the very next year Ocon did his best to put Alonso in the wall. Ocon is a serial offender and not a serious driver. He can befast, but there is a reason he is stuck at Alpine...

    Most ridiculous thing with McLaren is that they tell Lando: The way to win the championship is 'not on your own, you will need the team'. To than casually NOT help him and totally let him sort it out by himself. He shouldn't have given the position back. McLaren and Piastri are never going to help him. Go figure. All these years of loyalty, driving round in their crap car. I think Lando expected something quite different. Not strange he gets depressed.

    When channels with no idea of formula 1 are making videos about formula 1, this is the result. I mean, not even mentioning why Russel/Bottas collided and what part the half wet half dry track was playing to it...gosh. This video is much more worse than my english.

    Man please be more precize and give us the entire context … in the US 2015 take a look at the start, how Hamilton made his Signature dirty move taking that corner as wide as possible, having Rosberg in his right side, pushing him off the track and losing some important possitions, that was the problem between these two, the unfair situations in which Hamilton won and the british media and sponsors putting pressure on the team … in 2014 was an agreement behind the courtains to let Hamilton win the title, the 2015 was about to let Nico Rosberg win the title in an initial scenario but when british sponsors involved, they decided to let them race …. But Hamilton, as in 2007 season, was advantaged or used his dirty tricks to win in 2015 as well, the 2016 was the rivalry on another level, no team s favorite, they finally allowed them to race.
    But all at all Nico Rosberg was not as good as Hamilton but considering how good Mercedes was comparing to the other, making them look like a rooketship among market carts, any driver s talent was melted by that car putting seconds per lap to the entire field.
    What was next, was the pure example of Hamilton s selfishness, having the veto right in his contract about his teammate, so he choiced á lieutenant teammate like Valtteri Bottas who have never reprezented a threat to him, was just his right hand, ready to defend his back, screw his race, let him pass, aboard fastest lap for Hamilton… if he ever were at the level british bias politics presents him, he would have had a teammate that could have made him test his limits, fight wheel to wheel to see what he really was capable of

      One of the highlights in the history of F1 for me personally is that Hamilton lost to Rosberg in 2016 (watching since 1970 when Jochen Rindt won the championship). As a Finn there have been many highlights, the incredible and surprising win of Keke in 1982, Mika in -98 and -99 and of course the cherry on the cake, when Kimi won in 2007 more than deserved.
      Nico really deserved that 2016 championship. The politics in the Merc team were ridiculous.
