I didn't state in the above comment that this interview happened right after the race as it was held in 2000 (Senna died in 94). Michael was the driver who was behind Senna when his tragic crash happened and won that race. I do not blame Michael for breaking down crying there, but big credit to Mika for asking the media to give him some time to get his emotions together after Michael began to sob
Senna's win at Interlagos in 91 was an iconic drive even with the gearbox problems, that proved that Senna was a masterclass even with a wounded car and that podium was one of his most iconic moments.
So was Clark in 1965, he had to drive around old Spa with one hand, to hold the gearleaver in place with the other. And he won, by over 2min!! So was Schumacher in 1995. He had to drive a whole race stuck in 5th gear and yet manged to get 2nd place.
I think Imola 2003 was also very emotional. Schumacher's mother have passed away just a few hours before the race, and both Schumachers had a tough race but they managed to race well, Michael won the grand prix, and Ralf finished 4th. Michael then did take part in the podium ceremony (obviously in a solid way, he nearly cried), but then in the press conference after the race, in the name of him Jean Todt gave the interviews.

I remember around six cars being involved (though I think most were minor with only a couple with more damage), there was an absolute tonne of smoke- obscuring the cars that had crash and someone came through at speed (I guess they missed the flags as I'm sure a couple of cars had slowed for it and picked their way through carefully) and hit one of the cars, possible getting air time. I swear Mark Webber was one of the drivers involved, and possibly Eddie Irvine (though definitely at the end of his career, possibly even only as a substitute driver). Possibly Alonso as well. No drivers were seriously injured (as far as I remember no one had more than pretty minor injuries). I remember the commentator saying how terrible the place was to try to get the people and cars out of due to the walls. I only started to question it happening because I saw some crash compilations more recently and it wasn't there, then I remembered it and had a look to see what went down again, because I remembered it being pretty wild to watch (but also that no one was particularly badly hurt). That's probably why it's blurred here.
You missed Monaco '24
Abu Dhabi 2021
the thumbnail is evil
just dont watch its all blurry
Why blurr the image's... this is racing, this is what can happen....
Stop sheltering people from seeing it... it just might make a difference to someone jumping in a car thinking they are senna....
Somebody died that race, somebody’s son, friend or brother. Would you still want that broadcasted to the world if that was your loved one?
Why blur everything?
Because nobody should be shown a deadly crash unwittingly. If you really want to see it (I've seen it, it's not pretty, don't want to see it again) you can find it - but I would recommend you don't.
why you you blur stuff....
Why blur? Are we not adults?
Because TH-cam
Because that’s respectful?!
16:38 Senna was tired, but cmon it should be easier without shifting :P
What is this thumbnail man?
2:17 pm on 1 May 1994.
That thumbnail kinda sucks. the video is good tho.
But pls change the thunbnails
Sorry, guys
the fucking thumbnail though lol "he's gone bro, driver down"
Respect to all Forumal series's
If you're going to blur images of violence or gore then just don't show them at all. Seriously youtube I don't get you.
The full clip is included to provide additional context. What happened after a lot of people don’t want to see but if you do, I’m sure it’s out there.
16:10 wth are those sounds lol
It's called passion, it's called hard work and determination, it's call discipline. That was raw pure emotion from one of the greatest F1 drivers we ever got to see
Waste of time if things are even going to be blurred out before anything even happens. Stupid.
Really!!! Blurring the view.... what a waste of time!
Just show the F-ing crash, or don't show anything. This is just stupid.
Why start with something non F1?
Because it affected all of the F1 drivers. Especially Leclerc and Gasly who had raced with Hubert since their carting days
@@marcushillerstrom25, COVID also affected everyone.
@@DaveMcIroy Okay, I guess. But I didn’t see anyone be emotional about it. Maybe Russel who got that drive in the Mercedes when Hamilton was sick, that was a pretty intense race.
Silverstone 2024 was a joke by McLaren. They had fresh mediums and didn't take them...
And then Hamilton won at Spa, my favorite track, on my birthday, again. 😒
McLaren weren’t used to being at the front and weren’t able to make important choices under pressure
wtf is this thumbnail
