You're very good at doing decoupage this way, with wet Mod Podge and napkins, I wish I could do that but the only time I tried I got wrinkles and bubbles in the paper and ,when I tried to move the paper, it tore and so I had to try a different method. Now I still use Mod Podge but I apply 3 coats of Mod Podge, letting it dry between each coat, and then I use the Iron - On method to stick the decoupage paper to my surface. I've just finished decoupaging an old wooden tray and the paper is very smooth and wrinkle - free. After letting the Mod Podge dry completely, I take an iron and set it to high heat and I place the decoupage paper over the dry glue, then I put a sheet of baking parchment/paper over the decoupage paper and iron the whole area where the glue has been applied. The heat melts the glue again so that the decoupage paper sticks firmly to your surface. This is the best method I've found for doing decoupage because it leaves a really professional finish. If there's any paper left over and you've put the paper inside the base of a tray, all you need to do is use a craft knife to remove the excess paper. Have you ever tried reverse decoupage on glass? You must check it out on TH-cam one day, it's gorgeous. Thanks for this great video tutorial. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
So beautiful and nicely explained 👌👌
Great tip about the sponge over modpodge, brush marks drive me crazy! I'll try this thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
