Dear Shivani, thank you so much for this great video tutorial. I'm in the process of decoupaging an old wooden tray. I've stripped off the old paint and repainted it with Gesso, followed by 3 layers of Chalk Paint in a light green colour, and then 3 layers of the same sort of paint, but in white. Then I sanded back some areas of the paint so the green shows through, and it looks more vintage. Now I'm ready to do the decoupage part, and I was really stuck because I couldn't decide what paper to use!! But now I've seen your video I've decided to use my Mandala stencil, which is very similar to yours, and I've chosen the paper I'm going to use too. I love the way you stippled the green and light brown paint around the inside of the tray because it made everything blend together so well. Thanks again, love from Amanda in Australia

I mean I tried varnishing on one tray with mod podge and the other with wood varnish. Both of them stick under hot cups that are placed on the trays.

I learned a lot from this tutorial. I think the tray would look higher end if it had been sanded first. The handle cutouts were especially rough and that still shows through the blue paint.
