Hello crafty friends! Since I filmed this video I found a product for decoupaging that is way better than any of the decoupage mediums out there. Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish can be used as a decoupage adhesive as well as a varnish. Don't let the word wood fool you, it can be used on all surfaces. I'll leave a link below, so you can easily find it. And if you're going to be decoupaging on something shiny like glass or ceramic, make sure you coat with Polyvine multi surface lacquer first so your paint won't scratch, chip or peel. You can also use this product as a decoupage adhesive.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find that in my Malaysia 😔
So are you saying we can use the Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish in place of Mod Podge? And if so, on all surfaces? Sorry, but I am confused...
@@Nothingbutwind22 Are you able to shop through Amazon in your country? If so, they have it.
Hi Suzette, Yes you can use Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish in place of Mod Podge, and you can use it on all surfaces. It works so much better and reduces wrinkles and bubbles. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
This company ships all over the world. Have you tried them? I'm leaving a link for you.

For years I have watched numerous videos and not one of them explained it nor did they have such an obvious solution. Pure genius & a head scratching moment for me as to why I never thought of this technique. Thank you from Colorado.
Hi Cindy, It actually works pretty good. Let me know how you like it, once you give it a try. It takes a tiny bit of practice, so try it on a sample first before you do it on your project. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Sorry I ment if you then modge podge over top to seal this or varnish this will it then wrinkle? X
Hi Sandra, Yes it sometimes can wrinkle a little bit when you put the mod podge over it. Since I made this video, I discovered a way better product than Mod Podge. You can use it as a decoupage glue and a varnish. Don't let the word wood fool you in the title. It's great for all surfaces. It's waterproof, heat and uv resistant and food safe. I'll leave you a save link below so you can find it easily. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

The plastic is a game changer. Thank you for this very helpful video.
Hi again Brenda! I'm so glad you find this video helpful. And yes, the plastic and water really changes this game. I really hate wrinkles, and this method of application really gets rid of them. Thanks again for watching and sending me a message 😊💖
A lovely elderly Lady has blessed me with the most beautiful napkins but I was at a loss as all my so-called creations were a disaster!! Thank you for your inspirational video, I'm excited to start a new project!! Love from South Africa.
Can't wait to try this method ❤
Hi Valerie, I'm so happy you enjoyed this video and are ready to give it a try. Do it a couple of times on a sample. Make sure you master it before doing it on your actual project. As with any new method, you'll want to practice a little bit. Anything new takes a little time to perfect. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions or need any help. I'm here for you! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Just found your channel, love this idea❤️
Hi Lynne
I'm so happy to hear that you found me! This method works great. It does take a little bit of practice. Don't skimp on the water. The more the better. Do a test first on some scrap material. If you have any questions, let me know. I'm here for you! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Extremely brilliant.Thanks.
Hi Linda! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hi Laura! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
This is a great video! Thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely try this method next time. ❤
Hi Mary
It's super easy. Practice on some scraps before you do it on an actual project. You'll want to find your groove. Practice makes perfect! Once you get the hang of it. You'll never want to do it any other way. Good luck. Thanks for watching and taking the time to send me a message 🙂
I love this video thank you for posting!❤
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you and I'm so happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Great tip! I never would have considered this method.
Hi Nancy
It works really well. Do some practice runs on scrap materials before doing it on an actual project. It takes a little bit of practice. But you'll master it in no time. You won't want to decoupage any other way. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 🙂
Missed you last week, glad to see you today. Short and sweet but informative. The napkin you chose was perfect for that round object. Nice change from square and rectangle. I had occasions where after smoothing the napkin, it was hard to get off; pulling some of the napkin off and creating tears. What did I do wrong! Maybe you can finish decorating that plaque and show us how you did it. It’s too pretty not to finish. I know you’ll create something very beautiful! 😊
Hello my friend! I absolutely fell in love with that napkin, and yes, round was kinda fun for a change. If you had trouble removing the plastic from the napkin, my best guess would be that you didn't use enough water. The water is what makes everything slide around. Try using more water. Remember! Water is your friend when using this method. Were you doing it on a flat surface? This method can be a little difficult on rounded surfaces.
I am definitely going to finish that plaque. It's already in the planning stages. I was just doing a demo, but I loved the way that napkin turned out 😆 I can't not make something out of it.
Your video is not only clear in the instructions but it is the "ahah" moment that's needed to get the decoupage done perfectly. Thanks.
Hi there! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hi Cindy! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
I use rice paper/paper napkins when making xmas baubles & I discovered this trick a couple of yrs ago & it's been a game changer! U just have to be careful when removing the plastic bag bc it will pull the napkin up too. I found this method wks a lot better on rice paper though. I guess bc it's a bit thicker. Thxs for sharing!
Hi there! If you're having trouble with the plastic lifting the napkin, you may not have enough water on there. Add more water and the plastic will just slide of very easily.
Water is your best friend when decoupaging a napkin. lol... My favorite is rice paper too. It's the easiest to work with by far. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
I ❤ this tutorial as I’m new to Decopauge and I think it’s going to really help I’m waiting for napkins I’ve ordered. And I’m from Agawam , Ma. Luv your channel 😊
Hi there Witchy Woman. So glad to here that you loved this video. Once you get the hang of it, you'll love doing it this way. I would suggest doing a couple practice runs before actually trying it on your project. Get a cheap board and some cheap napkins from the dollar store and practice on that a few times. If you don't put enough water, you will have trouble pulling up the plastic. So drench it! If you need any help at all, let me know. I'm here for you. I'd love to see pictures of what you create. I have a few followers that email me pictures and I absolutely love to see them. Thanks so much for watching and taking your time to send me a message all the way from Agawam, MA. Happy to hear that you love my channel and can't wait to hear more from you 😍😊

This is my 1st video. So I did subscribe & I look forward to learning more things from you. God bless & Happy Holidays.🙏🎅🏻🤶🏻⛄️🎄
Hi Marybeth, Thank you so much for subscribing. I love making new crafty friends 😍 Decoupage is a lot of fun. I'm happy to hear that you're confident in trying it. Make sure you do a few test runs on a sample. This method does require a tiny bit of practice. But you'll be a pro in no time. Let me know if you have any questions at all. I'm here for you! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
Ohhh and Happy Holidays to you as well ❄🎄⛄🎅
