Missed you last week, glad to see you today. Short and sweet but informative. The napkin you chose was perfect for that round object. Nice change from square and rectangle. I had occasions where after smoothing the napkin, it was hard to get off; pulling some of the napkin off and creating tears. What did I do wrong! Maybe you can finish decorating that plaque and show us how you did it. It’s too pretty not to finish. I know you’ll create something very beautiful! 😊
Hello my friend! I absolutely fell in love with that napkin, and yes, round was kinda fun for a change. If you had trouble removing the plastic from the napkin, my best guess would be that you didn't use enough water. The water is what makes everything slide around. Try using more water. Remember! Water is your friend when using this method. Were you doing it on a flat surface? This method can be a little difficult on rounded surfaces. I am definitely going to finish that plaque. It's already in the planning stages. I was just doing a demo, but I loved the way that napkin turned out 😆 I can't not make something out of it.

I recently did an air dry clay piece and decoupaged it instead of painting it. It turned out pretty good, but I was unaware of the using a water brush and tearing away the unwanted napkin. I will definitely use this tip next time, thank you very much!
I have never tried decoupage before and have a beautiful box that I plan on keeping my garden seeds in. Over the holidays I’m going to try this. I have some beautiful flower napkins. Thank you love Juliana from the U.K. I’m off to watch a few more of your videos now ❤
Hi Juliana! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! I'm so excited for you. Decoupage quickly becomes an addiction! My husband is afraid to sit still for too long, might wind up with a flower decoupaged to his forehead..lol... If you are doing all sides of the box, it's best to let the side you just worked on dry before turning it over to do another side. If you lay it on the side you just decoupaged before it's dry, the paper will lift. So keep that in mind. It will take a little longer to do your project, but it will be flawless. Let me know you have any questions, I'm always here for you. Have a very merry Christmas. If you're going to keep this box outside, I would suggest using Polyvine Extreme as your final varnish. It's made for exterior use and is waterproof, stain and uv resistant. It's also water based so there is no smell. It's a great product. I'll leave you a safe link. Close to you, in Phoenix, AZ. I have never decoupaged anything, but have some great wrapping paper and was wanting to permanently cover some boxes with it for Christmas decorations. Thanks for video.
REALLY GREAT IDEA to use a piece of plastic and saturate your decoupage paper!!! I recently decoupage a small table and ended up having to redo it because ModPodge got spilled on the tissue paper and it wa all downhill from there. The more I tried to finesse the worse it got. There were tears and holes and wrinkles and it looked awful. Thanks to you, that will never happen again. 😂❤❤❤❤❤
Hi there! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Oh no, what an awful experience. I've had projects to all wrong and it's painful, isn't it. I'm not using mod podge anymore at all. I've been using Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish or decorators varnish as a decoupage glue, it works so much better. And then you can use it as your final varnish as well. It doesn't get thick and lumpy under your paper. I'll leave you a link below in case you'd like to check it out. All of my newer videos that's what I've been using.

Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖🎄🎅❄

@ Thank you for your tips with the box. I have that varnish already as my son carved some garden animals that are kept outside. However my box will be kept in my potting shed. I have watched a few of your videos now and plan on watching more. Have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year ❤️

Thanks for video.
Hi there neighbor! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
I'll leave you a link for my most recent video, so you can see how it works.
