Hey Chris, let me share a little info about the temple. Prasat Norkor (a.k.a. Angkor Wat, which mean Kingdom's Temple in Khmer language) was NOT built in the 12th century like the French wrote in history. The idea of construction started around 12,000 years ago and took between 200-300 years to complete. However, the truth has been heavily suppressed by the Dark Forces and their puppets global elites. They've tried to wiped out Khmer people and Khmer history many times ever since the collapsed of Khmer civilization since the 1300's, but it cannot be done because Khmer civilization is very advanced spiritually and also protected by higher Light Beings. This information I shared now is just a glimpse of what to be revealed in the very near future, of course, after all the clean up of global elites and Dark Forces masters are removed from Earth. BTW... The Khufu Pyramid and Sphinx in Egypt also belong to Khmer civilization as well. Much Love!
Great video!! I think you got the dates off between the temples of Angkor and Thom. Thom was around 800 century and Angkor Wat was build around 1200 King Juayavanna VII (i think); can't spelled his name and he was the one that brought the Buddhist/Tervada in Cambodia. During that time it was the peak of the Khmer empire and after his death it was the ultimate fall of Khmer empire.
We are here in Siem Reap, Cambodia for 3 weeks. Have visited 7 temples..definetly takes time. Every temple is unique in its one way. I definitely like the roots attaching themselves to the Temples such unique trees. Definetly don't forget to bring bug spray too!
The best time to visit this magical place is between November and January as the weather is cool and dry. The Angkor city was built in the fist half of the 12th century so it is almost a thousand years old since. If you have a chance, visit the place before you die. Happy travels. Peace out!
Awesome video Chris. I went to Angkor Wat 3 years ago when I stayed in Siem Reap and you pretty much covered what I saw. Unfortunately, I went there around 11am and as you can imagine the heat and humidity was absolutely brutal. I was sweating buckets. Glad you chose to go early. I also went on a tour group and I found it pretty helpful being a 1st time visitor.

@@trnsfr9014 I think it stopped in December. Ah, you’re spending thousands to fly half around the world to be there. Just get a ticket for as many days as you need. It’s not much in the scheme of things. It’s the cost of one or two dinner out. No big deal. Hey, if you’re going there (Siem Reap), do not skip going to Malis for dinner. Dishes that we had that were great were: the sausages, the beef sour soup called samlor machou kroeung sach ko (tell them add morning glory), the mango salad, the baked goby fish, the grilled Kep lobster, and the palm fruit desert. But if you are in Phnom Pehn, skip Malis and Mealea there at all cost. Their food suck big time. Instead go to One More Restaurant. Dishes that we had that were good were the fried fish cake, the bamboo fish soup called samlor praheur trapeang trey ros, and the green noodle dessert.

Great video Chris. I different style than I'm used to watching of yours. We were just there and Angkor Thom and Bayan city was my favorite also but still in awe of Angkor Wat and the size of the complex/moats and how the structures are still so pristine.
Angkor Wat is an ancient monument that was built by one of the most powerful empire at the time - The Khmer Empire. There are no technology, or building machinery. It was built by wisdom, strength, and the hard working hands and sweat of ancient Cambodian people. Angkor Wat is one of the _Wonders of the World._ A place where one must visit to see the wonders of the amazing temple that was built by humans themselves. Just humans, which in itself is a definite must visit to see how these structures are built.
