- Welcome back to another video! This week we are exploring the Litchfield National park!
We stay at the Litchfield Safari Camp with our Next Gen Ranger and Network Rv Caravan. First place to explore is Wangi Falls, we check out the swimming area as well as the treetop lookout.
Magnetic termite mounds kick us off for a day trip before heading to Buley Rock holes where we are surprised at how nice the water temperature is. Its a great spot for some little plunge pools along with a big pool to jump into! Florence falls is next great spot to swim at and parking at the old 4wd track saves us from plenty of stairs, we encounter an snake on the way out let us know what you think it is?
Luckily we got to swim here just before they found a freshwater crocodile in here.
We make a quick trip to the vet with juice for some anti inflammatories to calm him down as he was stung/bitten by a bug.
Next up is upper Cascades a bit more of a walk up to some cascading waterfalls beautiful spot for a swim and a bit more of a challenging walk. Chelsea runs away as we spot a goanna sunning next to the water. This is one of our favourite spots in litchfield.
As we leave the Safari camp we make our way towards kakadu and are staying at the corroboree tavern for the night, we get tricked into there awesome sausage rolls and visit there resident saltwater crocodile and Freshwater crocodile.
We protect our caravan windows and put some Bushwrapz over them a self healing paint protection film.

To help with Juice’s vet visit. I hope he is okay 😀
Thank you so much! 🤩
🐾 really appreciate it Stephen
Green tree snake
NT resident here - Wangai is usually closed during the dry season to allow for the wildlife to roam free etc. But often people dont listen and still swim anyway but the falls are usually open during the wet season (mostly October to March, sometimes earlier) but there are freshwater crocs that kive there and get cranky often 😂
Glad Juice is ok ❤
Hey thanks so much for the info 😃😃
We were at the safari camp when they were building the pool, it looks great. We loved our time in Litchfield. Happy to see Juice is ok.
Isn't it a great spot + pool 🤩
Thanks for watching!
wangi falls look fantastic keep up great epps. you pair love tuning in ty
Thanks for watching! 👍🏽👍🏽
You two and your comment about it being cold made me laugh, our summer temperatures range from 14-25 and we’re into end of June and it’s only now starting to be summer like. Love where you have been this week, we visited those areas as well. I can remember it being boiling hot, a lot of the water holes weren’t flowing then back in 2019 🥴 have a lovely week xxx 😘 🇬🇧
Hey Amanda thanks for watching!
Yes I know right, it wasn't that cold hahaha were just not used to it I guess 😂
Have a great week too!
Thanks guys ,another enjoyed video . Good to hear Juice is Ok . Keep em coming ! 👍👍🍻🍻
Thanks Mark! Appreciate you following along every week 🐾👍🏽
Snake is a golden tree snake, totally harmless 👍
Thanks for that 👍🏽😃
I have lived in the Territory 43 years
Welcome to my backyard 😊
Thank you!
You live in an awesome place 👍🏽🐊
Hey guys love the vids can't get enough.
I'm not a snake expert but it looks like a Golden Tree Snake.
Good decision to leave it alone Bryce. Remember if in doubt walkaway😊😊👌👌
Hey thanks for watching! Yes a few people have said it looks like a tree snake 👍😊
Litchfield is safe. its prob the best national park in Australia - everything is 30mins away, another swim or walk...or cool drive... i dream about getting back there
Yes probably our favourite one too 🤩
LOL Trained ants... Looking forward to visiting Litchfield in August, thanks for the guidance!
Haha it’s true 🤪🐜
Enjoy your trip!
Litchfield is now definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for showing us around. It's so beautiful!
That’s so great! Thanks for watching 🥰👍🏽
Love that swimming pool.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Such a great place. Just left the safari camp, loved the pool. They just opened it after we left, definitely trying to catch Mr or Mrs Croc. Loved Florence Falls, we did the 135 steps down and then the way you did to get back so we saw best of both worlds. We had it all to ourselves, how magical it was. Isn’t Cascades unreal. We swam the pool after the one you were in & also had it all to ourselves plus a goanna 🦎 😅. Highly recommend everyone do the walk. Hope Juice is all better poor wee soul. Have a great week. Alexandra
Hey thanks so much for the comment!
Cascades was THE BEST! 🤩 glad you can agree too.
Yes juice is feeling fine now. We’ve got some medication to take along with us for next time 🤞🏾🐾
Love the music and all the places your visiting, we are hoping to get away our van soon and you are giving us some great advice, absolutely love your videos, you three are wicked. Keep enjoying.
Thanks so much Carol!
Great video guys - just wondering if you saw Brutus move as he was laying in the same place when I last visited, which was some some yrs ago. 😂😂
Thanks for watching! We can confirm he did move spots, we didn't see him move though... 😂
Enjoy your videos always lots of content that’s interesting been most places you do but was mid late 90s good to see how is now
Thanks for watching! Has it changed a lot ? 😃
Epic scenery nice content cheers
Thanks for watching
Love the bush wrap
👍🏽👍🏽
That is not cold guys come back down south lol, looking forward to your next episode :)
Haha good point 😂🥶
I would love to have 14 degrees right now! Hows the new caravan going? Are you glad u changed from the other one?
We are loving the new van, it's a bitter sweet feeling, our roadstar was our home for so long and was so good for us but having something newer definitely feels nice for sure! 😊
Dog's really do feel the cold. Not for nothing did they name the band 2 dog night. Brrr
I live up north qld and the only place I trust is The Atherton Tablelands. I used to swim in the safe upper Tully River until a 4 metre salty was found. Lake Mitchell was meant to be safe until 18 crocs were trapped. Im always sceptical.
Oh wow that’s crazy 😳
We got told to swim at Rollingstone Creek earlier in the year (and did so). A week later they found 2 salties 😱
@@CaravanAdventureAus I just stay out of water unless there's a waterfall downstream lol
Hopefully Wangi Falls will open again, great place to swim. Glad Juice is OK. 🥰
Yes apparently it just opened again 🙌🏼👍🏽
Desmond here I am not swimming there too risky Crocs were there
Absolutely love the NT , definitely going back🤙
Thanks for watching!
Things are different at times when saw the termite mounds were lot bigger and better shape good to see
Oh really! 🐜🐜
Thanks for watching
Oh really! 🐜🐜
Thanks for watching
Love the vid guys - Wangi is pronounced ONE GUY - the best swimming place in NT - all the best for the rest of the Territory
Yes we’ve since realised but now can’t stop pronouncing it wrong haha
We had a great swim at Wangi last year
Great spot!
Hi Guys, Love your vids, wondering if you have weighted your ranger and van? What is the total length of your van?
I was as Burleigh rock pools earlier this year and loved it! I got out slipper fell straight on my knees and smashed them
I had help with two men getting to the car and got out at Batchelor couldn’t walk! I ended up in hospital in Palmerston and on crutches
Oh wow that’s terrible 😩
Hope everything is fine now with your knees and no long term damage 🤞🏾
Thanks for watching Louise
@@CaravanAdventureAus in much better they were really bruised internally and externally.
I was told though their had been a few serious accidents out their with people slipping on the rocks
The hospital was terrific waiting for me to drive up at emergency
Wangi is now open for swimming. Litchfield is such a magical place.
That’s great! Yes it’s stunning hey 🤩🙌🏼
They just shut Wangi (Won-guy) Falls until the water levels recede enough to make it hard for the Salties to get in. We had been working at the Wangi Falls cafe for the last couple of years and love the place 🙌
Bushwraps are great - we got our whole DMAX and Canopy PRO Wrapped
👍🏽😃
Hi guys
Good to watch TH-cam channel.
One question who did you get your bluetti battery from and can you plug it into your van to charge the van battery.
Cheers Mark
Hey thanks for watching!
You can buy them online. We have a link in the description below this video. It has a discount and all the info you will need 👍👍 There is bigger units online that could potentially do that.
Thanks
Hi Guys be careful with the dog around the Cane Toads they can be deadly if they bite the dog i think they spray very Dangerous love your videos we have travelled all over the Country
Cheers Dianne
We were there just 5 days ago and it was open for swimming. Are you guys there now?
Hey that's great! Our videos are a few weeks behind at the moment.
22deg is cold? That’s an average temperature for Tassie this year just gone 🤪🤘
Haha 🥶🥶
The first time we ever took our kids to Litchfield National Park they spent about three hours in Buley rock holes 😊
It’s amazing hey!
@@CaravanAdventureAus it sure is, we spent all day there and most of it was trying to convince my father in law to swim across Wangi to get to the falls
I think Wangi opened last week… right when they closed Florence due to the crock sighting!
Yes we did hear that 👍🏽😃
Bryce you can help me put bushwraps on the triton next time we catch up
Yes he can 👍🏽
Wangi pronounced Won-guy is shut every wet season, depending on how much rain we get determines how long it is shut for early to mid July usually
Okay very interesting 👍🏽🐊
Everyone swims at litchfied, had one of those snakes drop on my head out of a tree, frightened the crap out of me, missus peed herself laughing
Wow that would have been frightening for sure 😳😂
Hi guys, still loving your travels. Would love it if you put together a little book. Recommending your recommendations for free, donation or low-cost camping areas. east Coast up or down, west coast, top end in fact any of the well-travelled caravanning routes. Add it to your online merchandise. Thanks again for your vids.
Hey Steve!
We just use wiki camps to find all the camp spots around the country 👍😊
I have never been to Nt but would love to go 💯
I have a suggestion for juice buy him dog shoes it' has been life saver for my dog 🐕
Thanks for the tip 👍🏽😃
Didn't they find a croc in Florence Falls recently?
Yep a 2m Freshie
That looked like a tree snake, our Sam got bitten by a jumping jack ant the other day when we were at Tin Can Bay and he was bitting his feet and holding his paw up for ages and crying. Juice probably got bitten by an ant.
Oh no 🐜🐾 poor pup!
Hope he is better now
Is your caravan off road or semi off road? Trying to decide what to buy?😊
Hey it’s Off Road 👍🏽 but we travelled for many years with an On Road caravan just fine 😃
@@CaravanAdventureAus thank you. I know a bit about motor homes but not caravans and ive decided to travel with my two big dogs, so I've kitted out a ute but now I just have to choose a van.
Tree snake
Thanks for letting us know
Yep i agree, looks like a snake to me too.
😂

Beautiful area guys, thanks for taking me there, hi from another south aussie girl, Paralowie area lol. Totally not in SA spot fires🔥 😊 its cooler down here, not much rain like usual 😂 😂
Yes how crazy about the fires 😳
Bet it’s chilly in SA atm 🥶🥶
Lots of youtuber travellers constantly get place names pronunciation wrong - maybr ask someone local
Yes it can be difficult learning the names of so many little Aussie towns. Bound to make a mistake here and there. We’re only human 👍🏽😃
thanks for the negative clickbait on the NT. of course it is safe, but yeah lets incorporate crocs into your posts title for extra clicks
@@earthboyrod I guess it worked 👍🏽 thanks for watching
I'd love to visit your country but the snakes, crocs and heat would keep me away, I love your accents and your cold climate areas, by any chance are they short enough to list here and any cool points you could tell me about them please and thank you , Greetings from Canada
Don’t let any of that put you off, you just need to plan the trip to avoid the heat, it’s a big country. As long as you’re sensible, snakes and crocs aren’t really a problem. Hope you make it here one day🙂
@@Outandabout-au thanks bud I love watching videos of your country and just love your nationals accent and your people's love of the outdoors 😎👍💯
Tree snake
Thanks for that 😃
