Well I mean my preferences are definitely different than everybody else's and I don't get influenced by the hype train as much as some people do. Thanks!
Great call on the Nolichucky. Bought it on a whim and it started me collecting slip joints. I asked you about Barlows on a live stream recently. Found a GEC FOR $180 so just a bit above my budget of $150. Thanks again for another year of excellent content!
@joekasperek1086 videos without knives to show don't do well. But I can maybe do that on a stream or something. But it's pretty close to what you saw because I went out and bought some of the ones I wanted to include. Thanks
K.C. I agree 120% on your following choices; with one addition! Budget Knife - CJRB Pyrite Lite Midrange Knife - Kershaw BelAir Premium Knife - Karbon Buckhorn Budget Slipjoint - Rosecraft Nolichucky Jack (But also the Tanasi Lake Tear Drop) Budget Fixed Blade Biased Opinion - Kubey “Dust Devil”
I mean I'm already getting myself in trouble with the dust devil. Couldn't pick that one too. But yes you are right. And the supercell belongs somewhere in there too. Thanks!
Awesome list - and ultimately it is YOUR opinion. I'm surprised the Militaw in one of its iterations didn't make it on your list. But I'm sure it's on a lot of other YT'ers lists - so being different isn't a bad thing. All in all great list. Can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for the knife family!!
Great list man if i was to make a list the Appalachian ridgerunner and smolt would definitely be on it but one of my favorite knives this year was the civivi bulltusk for budget and then the vosteed psyop for the premium great video man 👍
If I made a list, I'd include your Tempest Microjet! It's one of the very, very rare knives that even my mom finds attractive, and there are very few knives that resemble it! I'm really sad that it only got the one drop!
Hmm, nope, can't disagree with anything. What a great year for knives! And Tempest Knives, though they aren't eligible for the list. Where would you put a knife like the Supercell? Kinda... Upper budget? "Taste of the good life" budget knife?
Fun list. (Point of note though, the Bel Air isn't assisted.) I did grab a Ketuo this year- the Griffin ll. A little too futuristic for me, generally, but a very fun carry. Hmm. My knife of the year, usage wise, didn't come out this year, but the crucarta manix ll has been my daily work carry since getting it. Just an absolute work beast. My other favorite of the year didn't, to my knowledge, come out this year either lol Berg Blades full dress Barber. Love that thing. Favs that came out this year... Finch Hellfire is pretty sweet. Divo Stout V2 I like a lot. Winterblades 8eight I appreciate, but not as much as some. Knafs Lander 2 is a fun usable carry. I dunno. ✌🏼🤘🏼
Oh I don't think I said the Bel-Air was assisted. I'm glad it's not. Those are some great ones you pointed out. These are always hard to do as there are so many knives and it's hard to keep track. Thanks
@KnivesFAST you're welcome. Pretty sure you did, though. You talked about the spring assist and how the spring was dialed in. I mean, I'll maybe give you fuzzy language. It's okay to be wrong, just say "my bad. I misspoke". Happens.
@Spthomas47 Hey, I see how what I said could be confusing. I said spring-loaded knife meaning it doesn't have a real detent that the lock is controlled by a spring and that controls the knife. Staying closed or deploying properly. Definitely never thought it was assisted. Thanks
While the hedgehog is a fantastic knife, this new iteration just didn't make the cut for Me in comparison to the others. But it is a great knife. Thanks
I'd say the TLL Raccoon is the best budget knife but the Pyrite at half the price has to win. Can't argue with the Kershaw. Did you say budget premium? Nolichucky Jack is acceptable considering how many great knives like the Loom Fixer that Rosecraft has put out. Definitely agree on the Ridgerunner. Agree on the Big Bro. Prefer the Muskrat over the Smolt although the Dust Devil is in my belt.
Apparently I misspoke on the budget premium thing. I guess I must have cuz you're the second person to say it. And you know I totally screwed up and left out the top liner lock raccoon. That is why I hate doing these videos because I always leave something out. It's too hard to keep up with everything. Good thoughts on the rest. Yeah I love the muskrat but it's a little thick behind the edge for what I would do with a little fixed blade. But to each their own. Thanks James
Yeah it was a bit too small to be listed in my favorites. I do like it a lot though. But if I'm picking a premium knife based on my preferences that's why the Buckhorn won. I like the bigger stuff. Thanks

Good list man! I like that we are seeing some knives that are not on every other YT channel🎉🎉🎉
Well I mean my preferences are definitely different than everybody else's and I don't get influenced by the hype train as much as some people do. Thanks!

That's awesome. I love me some slip joints. Very very cool. Thanks
The way you put “my rules” in the title, I thought this video was just going to be explaining the rules lol
Lol. No just doing things my own way. Thanks
I love the Pyrite! I picked up the same version for my father and was truly impressed with it
Totally cool and an excellent value. Thanks
Great list !! Happy Holidays !!
Thanks. You too
Good list! TPK just showed off some of his new designs & 2025 is looking good for slipjoint fans.
Very very cool. I'll have to check that out. Thanks
Depending on your Definition of budget the Pyrite in S90 V is probably a winner too or at least top 5.
Nice choice as well. Thanks
My jam is USA made. 👌🏻
Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for watching
Made in USA… 200$ and under knife!❤️
Some good pics there KC, I think I would add the pyrite light in the budget
The pyrite light is the very first pick in the video for Budget knife of the Year. Thanks!
@@KnivesFAST I will go back and watch it again from the beginning I missed it. Just got home from dialysis and was watching while eating, my bad
You know what else would be nice is to hear a list of knives that you would have picked if you had them to show@@KnivesFAST
@joekasperek1086 videos without knives to show don't do well. But I can maybe do that on a stream or something. But it's pretty close to what you saw because I went out and bought some of the ones I wanted to include. Thanks
Great list overall, lots of bangers this year.
I agree! It was a great year for knives.

Nice. That's really cool. Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts
First knife put out 0:30 = best knife of the year
I mean I'm already getting myself in trouble with the dust devil. Couldn't pick that one too. But yes you are right. And the supercell belongs somewhere in there too. Thanks!

I deduct for hype. Lol. It's a good knife. It just never quite hit me the way it hit everyone else. But everybody gets their own opinion. Thanks
I love your picks!
Thanks!
Love the Jack Wolf knives!
Same! Thanks
Great list man if i was to make a list the Appalachian ridgerunner and smolt would definitely be on it but one of my favorite knives this year was the civivi bulltusk for budget and then the vosteed psyop for the premium great video man 👍
Great suggestions. Always tough. Thanks
The divo tallboy was my favorite purchase this year
Nice one! Thanks 👍
solid line up KC!!!
Thank you so much
Great list KC.
Thank you so much!
Interesting list KC
Thanks! It's been a fun year for knives.

@@KnivesFAST k.
Nice list. QSP Hedgehog for a slip could have been mentioned. Thanks KC
While the hedgehog is a fantastic knife, this new iteration just didn't make the cut for Me in comparison to the others. But it is a great knife. Thanks
What was your favorite addition to your collection?
In 2024? Definitely the Holt Morpheus. It just wasn't a new knife for the year. Thanks
I'd say the TLL Raccoon is the best budget knife but the Pyrite at half the price has to win. Can't argue with the Kershaw. Did you say budget premium? I like strawberry jam. Awesome video
Me too. Thanks 👍
Rory told me to.
Well I appreciate you doing what he said. Thank you
Premium budget jack wolf? In my top 5 of the year best knives is the Jetstream for sure. Or was that last year? I dk😊
Jetstream Was 2023 right at the end of the year. Did I say that? I hope not. It should be the premium traditional style knife of the Year. Thanks!
Jack wolf knife is overpriced.😎
The Tempest Microjet should be in here somewhere. Remember, your rules.
Yeah it definitely is a good one. But I don't need to be like some of these channels out here tooting their own horns all the time. Lol. Thanks!
Your right case is pushing out so many models they can't qc them all case won't even cut paper kc
Haha. Pitiful. Thanks
Dust Devil >>>> Smolt.
GREAT list, except for the Smolt.
I mean hard to be unbiased with that one. I love it. Thanks
Dust devil is very good
Thanks
Bel air…made in USA and under $150.❤
So nice. Thanks
Kunwu compadre. Agree with some tho
Yeah it was a bit too small to be listed in my favorites. I do like it a lot though. But if I'm picking a premium knife based on my preferences that's why the Buckhorn won. I like the bigger stuff. Thanks
@KnivesFAST you would love the gringo.
Dust devil _is_ BFBOTY
I mean you and I are on the same page. Lol. Thanks
The buck horn is a cool looking knife but the bullet case butt cheapens it so much. That bit looks gas station
Yeah see. This is why I always say to each their own. That bit is one of the things that pushed it over the top for me. Thanks
Jack Wolf knives are overpriced! 😎
Everyone gets their own opinion. Thanks for watching
Premium budget jack wolf? In my top 5 of the year best knives is the Jetstream for sure. Or was that last year? I dk😊
