We from The Netherlands were in Vlorë 2 weeks ago to see how life is when you live there all year around. Our impression was that many foreigners are there only a short time of the year and give their appartments in rent. In wintertime we assume that most hotels, restaurants, coffeeshops etc. wil be closed, which make you feel depressed. We wondered where all the expats were and the good shops.
@@madvriendt7131 They have a strong interest in increasing tansportation infrastructure for tourists. It will be done in no time because the pressure is real. Number of tourists in Albania is at a historical record high.
@@Mulmgott I know Albania is doing the best they can to receive their guests. At the other hand I read today that it will chase away the flamingoes, which is really a pity. The beautiful nature will be sacrified then. The next step will be a railway...
It wasn't clear whether they meant to close that access permanently or just hadn't created signage for it yet. Either way, it lead to a bit of excitement!
@Scotty Bones Sea Breeze helps cool down at night 🌙.. Beach Towns facing the West are always scorching hot ...as soon as the morning sun rises over the Vlore mountains it gets super hot ....as opposed to like Valencia beach that faces the East
Asking “is it a great place to live” is very insulting to the tradition and history of a nation… I hope people realize that… a new form of promoting colonization and settlement. Mounts of Kuç and Vlora have a LOT of history that is untold… they’re the original Chaonians of Epirus, and most recently (1500-1800s) they’ve peopled and created the current nation of what they self proclaim to be “Greece”. Untold because not convenient for Greece, being an EU memeber.
I can't assume you're a native English speaker so please know that "Would Vlora be a great place to live?" and "Is Vlora be a great place to live?" are not interchangeable, as you have done. The modal verb "would" implies a conditional situation and expresses possibility for the individual asking the question. "Would" introduces a hypothetical element and is often used for polite inquiries or to discuss possibilities. Using "Is" expresses a direct request for information about the present reality of Vlora, which I didn't ask, and which I am not qualified to give. On a separate note, it would be interesting to learn some of the untold history of Kuç and Vlora. Please make some videos about this. It would be great! Cheers!

While technicalities of speech are great in the world of contacts, they have a different effect everywhere else… they suggest beyond what they’re meant to suggest. “Don’t think of the Eiffel Tower”… technically you say “don’t”, but it is suggestive and triggers a chain of thoughts in the audience related to the Eiffel Tower regardless. Anyway, not too important… I really like your angle of experiences. It’s pretty much what I would do. As a native, these are the closest clips to reminding me of everyday life… wondering alone, in my own thoughts. 👍🏼
Love this video! I'm moving to Albania in a couple months! I'm so excited!
Sweet! I hope you have a great time.
@@scottybones4368 thank you! Your videos are very helpful and fun to watch!
Hello Scotty, nice Video. Vlore is a very nice place. Mountains on one side and the sea on the other. We live in Vlore and love it.
Awesome! If I decide to move to Albania, Vlore is my first choice. Cheers!

Great segment; the crepescular rays behind you towards the end of the video are epic! Big ups for your pioneering spirit and coverage of Albania.
thanks Jef!
I know what you are talking about. Our Saranda taxi driver missed it too. Had to ask the road workers that were still there to go back and find it.

Very nice accommodation, can you give me some details, I want to go to Vlore in September.Thank you very much!
There's lots of great information online.
Scotty Vlore even early October was F^%& Hot......
Do you think the sea breezes help moderate the heat at all?

Kill the music
The narrator's mumbled speach is drowned out by worse "music".
Sorry bro. I try harder next time.
Such an annoying music😡

Couldn't stay here because of the obnoxious music. Too loud and distracting!
It sort of seems like the south of Spain in the 1980s and 1990s all over again. Too bad.
