I have a 2 as well. I got the xpeak when my easy route to work got closed so I'm going on terrible roads and bad sidewalks. Xpeak is really a nice ride.
Chris, great video and I'm jealous of your trails! I'm thinking of buying a Suntour seat post for my Xpeak, but with Lectric's latest offer for us Step-through owners, I can get Lectric's comfort seat post free. What's your opinion of it, you mentioned in the video that it helped, but was it sufficient, or will you still upgrade to a Suntour?
I have two fat tire hub bikes, they are insane on trails, like single black diamonds type of trails, I've never seen a mid drive do these hubs do in the woods, (although I only see the 250w, Specialized and Trek mid drive bikes out there, I've never come across a Bafang) One is pre built, the other DIY, the pre built one though is a prone to pedal strikes in very rocky areas. The bottom bracket hangs a little lower on some of the prebult bikes. Good for comfort and stability, but a trade off in some areas. On my DIY the bottom bracket is at least an inch higher off the ground, which makes a huge difference getting over big rocks. Alot of what you hear about hub motors not being able to handle tril riding isn't true. My will climb anything with a little bit of help in pedal assist 2, any more assistance than that will throw me off the bike. I have seen some hubs on YT struggle on trails, I think it's motor wind, some have better top speed, other more power at lower speeds.
@@ChrisCrossed think it depends on alot of factors, I'm not an expert, I've only ever ridden three ebikes and two of them I own. One of mine is a 500w unbranded, the other is a 1000w.bafang kit, the 500w is the better climber, but it's probably the exception, it feels like the peak of the power band is at a lower speed but peaks at 1,040w,(so not really a 500, but that's what the motor says on it) the controller is also very aggressive, it will throw an instant 1000 watts to the motor, but no matter how much power I put to it, it's not going faster then 26mph. it's an Ancheer fat tire bike, it was my first ebike, I bought it in 2020 because it was inexpensive, i didn't want to risk too much money because I had read so many ebike horror stories. (Super 73 motors we're all blowing up with less than a hundred miles on them)
Yo Chris, why don't you try riding that bike with no hands and see if it gets The death Wobble,. Because there are multiple videos of people experiencing that Bike having that problem. Or is it just the step Through version,. Check it out for yourself.✌🏻
@ChrisCrossed Not true. I have 3 step truths But the batteries are not in the downTube, and have no issues At all, The Death wobble is caused by batteries in the downTubes Of step through style eBikes compromising the frames rigidity. Allowing the bike to have too much flex, therefore they will start To shake violently The faster you go.. I'm not only a bike rider, I am a bike mechanic for over 50 years. Trust me, I know.. Keep it on too wheels Chris.✌🏻😎🤘🏻
Yeah its more weight that causes it, ...can come from the back too. I added a 2nd battery once to an ebike on the rear rack and it had a very bad wobble despite being a step over frame.
@ChrisCrossed Yes, some bike frames are just not made thick enough. When you start adding extra weight, it starts to throw the Balance Of the bike off. Remember, These ebikes they're coming from China. And rebranded in America. And most of them have serious design flaws.. Be safe brother🤘🏻. And keep it on 2 wheels. Oh yeah Gotta make some ebike fishing videos Chris.🎣😎🍻✌🏻
The bike is a beast, so cool watching you tear up the trail!
Like the video and the bike at some point need to put miles on my 3.0
Thanks for sharing and safe happy trails riding Chris. 👍✌️
Thanks, you too!
I have the lectric xp 2.0 but this looks like a definite buy. Might give mine to my gf and buy this one for myself

Nice run. It seems like a decent bike
Cool video, nice trials, nice review. Does the tripmeter still automatically zero out when the bike is turned off?
Yes it does

I think it’s sufficient for short trail rides like that, give it a try.

Nice, needs to be at least a 750 watt to handle trails and hills IMHO.

Please do video of bk 15 hitway fat tyre bike please I have one it’s probably one of the best 🎉
Did you have any issues with your foot hitting the front tire during hairpin turns?
none at all
What’s the battery range on this bike? On the road
TBD I will test at some point
At PAS 5, you should be going a lot faster, is that battery ok?
Battery fine, top speed is harder on dirt trails
At 4mins 18seconds you took you hands off the bars… how could you do that and not die from “The Death Wobble”? Miracle.
The step over doesn’t have this issue
@@ChrisCrossedmy step over does get the wobble.

I have, no death wobble, any step thru has a certain amount of wobble because of the frame.
