I haven't played magic in years, but when I did you were one of my favorite channels. Feels good to come back and watch another video of yours again, after all these years!
this match was really interesting but definitely was way too lopsided on power levels, one almost stock precon deck and a deck with taplands against decks with mana crypt, fetch, duals, and so on just felt so bad for Esix getting mana drained
Me at the start of the video: I don't how Jalbert plans to win with that deck. He is only searching lands. Me at the end of the video: Oh... That's how...
I know it's not your fault friend, but I hate when the top comment has spoilers for the match 🤣 I speed read on autopilot so I can't help but see them lol
Haha that shade against Yarok at the end. He's one of my favourite commanders to play but the amount of hate it gets not only during gameplay but how often everybody just shits on it as a deck and on people that play it I just don't update the deck or play it anymore.
I have built a deck with all the flip commanders and the green one is definitely one that people think is “under powered” until it flips and then it just goes crazy 😂
i play the white one as my commander and the amount of people who underestimate it is hilarious yes dude my token army now brick walls your giant army a creatures
I've seen a few people build Munda decks. But there don't seem to be quite enough red and white Allies to make it worthwhile. You basically have to run all the R/W allies to get any consistency with his ability.
11:02 Mathieu seriously misused Alms here. Not only does it only prevent damage to creatures, but even if it prevented damage to players or he blocked with Quintorius, he would be activating it in response to damage being dealt, which would mean they would be in the damage step of combat, making him unable to declare the created spirits as blockers. EDIT: He couldn't have even blocked with Quintorius because of Iroas.
If anthony could have stuck essix then hornet queen with adrix and nev on board, there wouldve been an obscene number of hornet queens and tokens from them. That wouldve been a SWEET play to see
@@dess8815 i liked the idea of making a bunch of tokens as cheap as possible then having them get swole when i swing so quandrix was the way to go for me. Token doubler in the command zone seemed pretty generic, plus this way, even if someone is gaining life quickly, i have the added benefit of quandrix getting pumped (because the deck already wants to do that) to mana commander damage a viable option as well.
@@connorl0204 oh i was just joking about how busted niv was lol i do like the simic dragon a bunch he just sounds like way more fun to play and play against
@@MTGMuddstah Yup! Love that commander so much. I am a sucker for green + tribal decks. Since I got Gargos, i turned my green deck into hydra tribal. BUT, my next time I play (this weekend) I will use my Gargos again. Keep up the great vids!
I hope so I just couldn't believe it they practically handed the game to mono green haha excellent game play on your part! It takes real courage to sit down at a table with boros.
That was a misplay with Alms and Quintorius. Mathieu should only have gotten one spirit. The ability states whenever one or more cards leaves the battlefield, you get a 3/2 token
until turn 8 i didn't understand why Jalbert was ignoring Dom and focusing Mathieu. Though i would had focused Anthony i guess Jalbert knew that Anthony was just not going to get any form of control nor creatures to happen but knew that Mathieu's deck was actually built to work. Maybe next game Jalbert won't have the luxury of being up against a bricked deck and a do-nothing deck.
i get way more hate for playing my sadisi value deck with a bunch of edict effects that i keep looping by casting them from the grave or reanimating them i also have a bunch of ways to bring back my opponents creatures i always love it when the nya stompy deck shows up
Dom: There’s no way Jalbert has seven lands in hand , he’s just setting up for later… right?
10:10: phew, they dodged a huge bullet by having him discard Praetor's Council

5:30 love the calli alter on demonic tutor, wonder where dom got it done
ah i see you're a man of culture as well
Yea I’d love to know where to find one
Would love to know as well.
Not gonna lie, I had to pause the video. I was "wait what?!", didn't expect to see her in an EDH video 1 year old, I guess dom is a fellow Deadbeat
I built my Sasaya deck after seeing her played here a long time ago. I'm so happy she's finally back!

Hope you post the decklist for the Sasaya deck here soon, I built my own but have leaned torward turbofog a bit due to drawn hate after first game
That Sasaya deck was fucking awesome! I was so baffled when Dom countered Esix…
Seriously. "Man that Quandrix precon sure looks threatening." Did something happen off screen between them? Lol
@@DinoBozo if i recall correctly, dom just wanted to counter something big to set up his next turn, it wasn't against the Esix player particularly
What was the art on that demonic tutor Dom plays at 5:28 ? It looks really nice!

lol nice Calli alter for Demoic Tutor Dom.

It's refreshing to see Sasaya win, especially when it looked like the Yarok + Palinchron combo was about to take the game.

iroas prevents damage to attacking creatures, so the bird and mill ally would have still been killed by polukranos going monstrous
The bird and mill ally did die to this, you can se ethem being removed.
@@Universum bird still on the field after the monstrosity trigger actually. Should have gone away

Great game as always. Really curious to know are they any deck list for these commanders?

Any chance there’s a deck list for Sasaya yet? Haha

Hi!
Even though he played allies I don't think it was anywhere near a fair game with all his big money (RL) cards. Glad Sasaya took the win :)

That was an awesome Sasaya deck… but Finale of Devastation is soooooo busted
The fact that Finale can grab from the graveyard AND / OR library is also insane. So many people only pick one.

Quintorius doesn't need a ton of tap lands imo. Should focus on more basics and quicker plays.
