i'm genuinely confused as to why miguel played finale of devastation AFTER combat, and put 8 into the x just to get a rec sage he had enough mana to give his team trample and +X/ +X and probably could have won the game off of that
Well the Mathieus deck has a poor engine, the main issue was the lack of interaction of the other players, in my pod a Edric turn 2 means get removed, destroyed or enchanted 😅
I like and play Edric and I can't agree more. The value he gives is insane. My deck is borderline cedh and I have to agree that it depends on the deck not the commander if it is considered cedh or not.

Was there a reason Dom did not block the Dousing Dagger swing with a plant token?? I am really hoping there was some effect im missing or that was a huuuuuuuge misplay
he feels like a worse version of muldrotha. Just (often) cheaper to cast. I got a Kathliss deck though, and maybe Karador could be decent in the 99 as a way to reanimate my stuff.
@@afspeellijstnarutolooking at the list, there is allot of things that you dont get in sultai such as peacekeeper and rule of law creatures, idiot bird, linvala and norn. If you want a hatebears shell with creature combos the perma 3 mana commander is also great 😊
I took apart a 5c Gyruda companion deck and made Miirym clones instead. It's been super fun. Even when the main plan of making a bunch of Miiryms isn't working I can usually fall back on cloning opponents stuff which can be just as fun.
The Edric dilemma: either someone focuses on him and not draw cards, or everyone leaves him alone until it's too late. I see Edric, I'm totally tempted to focus on him because of the extra turn shenanigans.
My deck had a single extra turn, I focused on equipment theme Edit : after making the decklist I realised I had fewer equipments than I thought, but I focused on a buff theme.

This was honestly a very poor game, simply because the disparity in the power level clearly showed here. The Miirym and Karador decks were clearly not prepared to deal with a deck that can aggressively cast Edric on turn 2. Once Dom let Edric through and let Dowsing Dagger transform (seriously... why not just block with the plant token you just got?), the game was pretty much over right then and there. Even a board wipe wouldn't have really helped out here. The Edric player was drawing so many cards and had so much mana (thanks to the Lost Vale) that Edric would have been able to immediately rebuild after a board wipe and continued to pile on the pressure. You have to stop Edric before its creatures start connecting. Once that engine gets going, it's too late. The snowball effect is just too crushingly powerful to stop, especially against slower decks.
that's the usual Edric problem, the deck consistently punches way above its weight class. $10 of random evasive commons, mana dorks, and a couple overrun effects is already about on par with most $100 casual lists

Proving why simic is the most annoying color combination in commander. Always eliminate the simic player first no matter what, even if you have to team up.

I was excited for this game at first due to the possibility of crazy stuff happening with two Miiryms on field, but it kind of wound up being the least interesting deck playing solitaire the whole time. booooo simic.
I mean i saw the commanders at the start and i would have bet all my money instantly on the spy bastard. Its a simic semi cedh commander. You just cant play against that one without fast combo decks or a lot of mass removal....lel
Honestly I don't even know why they showcased this game. Based on all the comments this was a already written on the wall and everyone knew the outcome. Poor choice of a game I just skipped to the end after edric swung with dowsing dagger.

In my experience, Edric is a KOS commander. He needs to be neutralized in one way or another or, well, that happens.
Edric is cedh. Kill the cedh deck first.

Oh, absolutely... my first game with my Evelyn clone deck, most of the time I was copying the Ur-Dragon player in front of me 😛
