Just a little advice from someone who has lost 170 lbs. Count calories, get a lot of protein in because it will keep you satisfied longer, stay away from fast food/take out (if you have to get it pick the healthiest option), eat healthier foods that are lower in calories so you can eat more and you don’t feel like you are starving and don’t go too hard on the exercise at the beginning so you don’t get burnt out. Once you get into the routine of restricting calories and eating healthier it gets so much easier. You just have to make new habits. You’ve got this!! And you will feel like a new person! I turned 47 this year and I’ve never felt more strong, healthy, and happy.
Wow, huge congrats! Thanks for the tips, I know I need to up my protein for sure!
I wish you all the luck in the world with your weight loss goal. After I had my sons I needed to lose almost 100lbs. I worked out 5 days a week, made sure I ate loads of veg and protien. I avoided bread/carbs and made sure I never went to sleep hungry. I lost 129lbs in 15 months. I was in my mid 30's at the time. Good luck and make sure you drink water and stretch more than you think you need to.
A full stomach before working out in my experience is a mistake. An empty stomach, especially after waking can make you sluggish. I would recommend something like a banana. Goal setting, rewards and documenting is really good idea. This is exciting.
Thank you for the advice, I will try and have something small before exercising going forward. I hope you enjoy the series!
@@sophiemayeveryday a piece of fruit and a protein drink. This will help you from feeling ravenous after your exercise. Congrats on your weight loss so far, the slower you lose the more likely you'll keep it off :)
@@sophiemayeverydayif you feel you need to eat before working out you can have a protein drink a hour to 1-1/2 hours before an exercise session if fasted exercise is hard. I hope you don't mind my unsolicited advice. But try to do something sustainable. Esp with food. Weigh out everything and track your calories. You can eat everything you want. Moderation is the key along side good exercise. Lift your weights on top of cardio. A balanced diet is needed. High protein is important ontop of a calorie deficit. I'm rooting for you on your journey. It taskes years to see results and it can takes months to get into consistency. I'm 2 years out and finally seeing the real results of my hard work. You got this!!!!!
Thank you! :)
Congrats to you, thanks for the advice re sustainability, that's what I'm aiming for!
Stop you have such a precious personality. 😭I’m not usually into weight loss videos but I stayed for your persona, It feels like I’m watching old TH-cam. Seeing you so excited now has me excited about my own diet. Let go! ^~^
Aw thank you so much! Best of luck to you :)
You are the MOST wonderful person ☺️ your positivity is infectious.
Aw thank you ever so much!
You are going to feel better with the healthy habits regardless of what the scale says, that will always be a win! I agree that BMI isn't always the most helpful either 👍
Indeed, trying to build my routines and habits and then hopefully everything else will work out!
as someone who has lost weight over the last few months i found walking daily really helpful! i don't like gyms as there are too many people
I'm trying to increase the dog walking time, hoping it will help!
@@sophiemayeveryday even just walking an extra 30 minutes to an hour on top of this will make a huge difference, good luck!
A great idea for a challenge. Walk daily for 30 days and see how you feel?
Hi Sophie! Really appreciate your willingness to be open about your weight loss journey - I am also on a weight loss journey at the minute & I find it SO scary to talk about or be open about with others & it can feel so lonely/isolating at times, especially when it's a hard day. Love all your videos so much, you just radiate such sincerity & kindness. ☺All the best 🥰
Oh thank you, this means so much! It's such a difficult process and it's very nerve wracking to talk about so I get you 100%. Hopefully this new series will be helpful to people going through similar journeys!
"Oh there's a magpie in the bin" Don't know why that made me laugh but I loved it.
I was going to cut it out but then it flowed weird so I figured I would just share about the magpie haha!
Most British sentence ever. 😂🇺🇸
as someone who has also been on similar journeys, two things (1) work w/ macros - this will allow so much flexibility in your journey. and (2) have fun with the journey. while documenting it provides accountability, you must have fun with it!
11lbs in 7 months is still brilliant. The best advice I can give is to lift weights and eat lots of good protein. The more muscle you have on your body the better! You can smash this! Just stay consistent day after day. Small steps forward slowly over time. Do not push yourself to drop the weight in weeks. A healthy weight loss and muscle building will take months if not years of consistency and small steps forwards 😊 go smash it girl!
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
I love your attitude towards things, you're a sweetheart! Keep going with your journey. Remember, it's about creating new habits, the weight loss will follow! You can do it ❤
I love this so much, I definitely need to create the habits first. Thank you!
I began my weight loss journey April 1st and lost 70lbs… still going cuz I’m fat haha. I don’t recommend going as brutal as I have, at all. Making any change towards your goal will eventually make an impact in your health and you’ll start feeling amazing. I want to see you succeed, you can absolutely do this!❤
Wow, congratulations! I'm trying my best for it to be sustainable. Thanks for your encouragement!
I'm quite excited I found you this early in your journey. I'm with you!
Ah, thank you!
Ik this is hard for you, for us but this will be worth it. The confidence, the way you overcome your fear, the way you don't hurt yourself are reflected when you stay consistent and stay positive even when you're thinking it's slipping out of ur hand. I'm rooting for you. BEST OF LUCK💖💖 CHEERRR UPPPP🎉🎉🎉
Thank you very much!
My love, even if you never share your weight I don’t think it means you lack bravery!! You’re brave for trying, brave for wanting to do things that are good for your body, brave for deciding to share any part of this process with the internet! Weight is SO stigmatized and also isn’t a super reliable measure of health/fitness!! Bloodwork/body fat percentage/muscle mass/bone density are all WAY better metrics to use to judge overall health. As part of your journey getting some baseline data on all of that may be helpful (a lot of people get body scans done but those can also be pricy. I live in the states and it’s like $100-$200 per scan). Regardless, the details of your health are yours to disclose at your discretion. Anyone who says otherwise can shove it where the sun don’t shine!
Haha thank you so much for this. This week I'm doing my body measurements and I'm looking into the machine at my gym because I think it does things like body fat percentage but I don't understand how to use it properly yet haha! :)
2 degrees is so impressive, im 23 and im only just starting my first one this year 😂 best of luck Sophie, remember to still eat regularly and drink lots of water😊
Oh my goodness, best of luck to you! You'll do amazing! I'm upping my water intake etc, but I haven't had any yet today so thanks for the reminder!
Please consider coupling your rewards to consistency (x days clean eating, x days exercising etc) and not to weightloss. These goals are more within your power to reach. Weight loss is never linear. All the best! I'll be following with interest!
This is so smart and I think it would motivate me more. I’m using this
I thought something similar the other day. I will review my goals, thank you.
Good luck Sophie! Keep consistent and disciplined, the weight will come off, it will take time, but seeing the changes over time will be such a reward. You can do this!
Thank you! :)
Just subscribed and look forward to following your journey! 😁 I've recently lost just over 10kg and am getting close to my goal weight. It's not always easy but it's so worth it. I'm rooting for you! You got this!
Wow, huge congratulations! Thanks for the support!
Hi Sophie 🌼 congrats on losing the 11lb and good luck with the rest of your journey! Just discovered your channel and subscribed. I started my journey in May 2024, very slow progress. You gave me some ideas for goals I should be setting. Thanks!
Thank you so much, best of luck to you with your journey!
You got this! ♥♥♥ You are going to do amazing!
Thank you so much that's very kind!
Love this! I've also recently started up a weight loss journey, -50lbs needed to get to my pre-baby weight, then I'll see how I feel and might try to go lower, but I did like that weight on myself. The main thing that's been helpful is not to try doing a temporary diet, but making overall changes that I intend to be permanent. Main things currently are: smaller dinner portions, very limited refined sugars and carbs (though not cutting completely out, so if I'm REALLY craving something, I can have it, but that mindset has helped me be able to say no much more easily!), basically no drinks other than water, coffee with sugarfree sweetener and creamer, and the occasional coke zero. Been going strong about a month and a half so far :)
Well done for being consistent! I'm also trying to make changes sustainable so it doesn't feel too restrictive :)
I love the rewards idea, I might have to do that myself. I would definitely recommend having plenty of fluids with you while exercising but not having a full on meal. If you are anything like me, it'll just make you want to throw up the entire time.
Yes I think I made that mistake once and just ended up leaving the gym haha. I'm going to try having something small going forward. Hoping the rewards thing helps!
A minute 30 in to this video and I'm already subscribed bc you radiate amazing energy. I'm with you on this journey❤
Aw thank you! Best of luck to you on your journey!
I’m just beginning my new weight loss journey after a tough few years and you’re videos are so positive, thank you so much for making these videos, they are so helpful and make me feel less alone in this journey thank youuuuu !!!
Aw that's great to hear, good luck on your journey! :)
Brilliant video! Good luck with your plan this week. Sounds like you have some nice interesting meals lined up. Hopefully there’ll be some new favourites to discover.
I hope it all goes well and look forward to hearing how you get on . I’ve put on a bit of weight recently and will aim to try and lose some alongside you . x
Meals have been a mixed bag at the moment but I'm hoping to find something good soon haha! Let's try together :) x

Thank you so much! :)
You have such a lovely vibe! Best of luck on your journey !! :)
Thank you so much!
I'm also on a big weight loss journey. I turned 50 in January and none of my old tricks are working so I am absolutely having to count calories. I do have a tip definitely measure your self. A lot of times I see my measurements going down and not the scale. Also take pictures.❤
I remembered to measure myself at the weekend, it's in the next episode :) And yes, I took pictures back in January but forgot to do those this time, will add to my to-do list. Thank you and best of luck to you!
Oh wow well done. I’ve only lost 5lbs since January so that’s great result. Keep it up
It's so hard isn't it? Congrats on your 5lbs, honestly, when I weigh myself at the moment I'm proud as long as I haven't put weight on!
You're so so lovely - watching your videos is always so enjoyable. Glad to go on this journey with you and it finally might encourage me to prioritise my health a little more! I have ADHD and Autism and struggle heavily to initiate new tasks and then keep to a routine.. BUT I love healthy eating, so slowly hoping I can get a bit healthier with my natural gravitation towards vegetables and inability to order takeaway with living in the countryside haha! Wishing you the best of luck on the journey :)
We don't get many takeaway options either so it does help with this I feel! Thank you for your encouragement, hope you manage to achieve what you want to!
I also stared my fitness journey a few days ago. Best of luck.
Thanks very much, good luck to you too!
I love this! Let’s start the journey together ❤ I’ve started a week ago but I’m gonna follow your journey as my journey also just began 🎉
Aw that's great, best of luck to you!
you got this Sophie. I'm on my journey too. You can do it!
Thank you, good luck to you too!
What a lovely video. I highly recommended focus on habits rather than a number on the scale! I lost quite a lot of weight and its what prompted me to start a youtube channel about it! You're gonna rock it! Im not super tall either I dont make 5ft that can make it challenging for sure!
Yes I'm trying to build the habits first and go from there. Well done to you! :)
@@sophiemayeveryday you're gonna rock it! Keep going you've got this!
You got it girl! Stay hydrated, get your protein in, and stay active!
Thanks for the encouragement!
I love your energy... I hope that you will succeed in your weightloss journey. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you very much :)
New subscriber here! I’m excited to follow your journey! I don’t do anything specific for meals before or after my walking. And I don’t do anything more hardcore than that for exercise right now, just focusing on lowering my physical and emotional stress. When I first started I could barely do five minutes walking before I was in excruciating pain. I do want to get an actual treadmill eventually instead of my walking pad so I can do an incline.
I’m 5ft 4in, high weight 296, restart weight 251.8, current weight 218.4. I have the same ultimate ultimate end “normal bmi” goal of 140 but think especially if I wanted to work on more muscle later on Id fall somewhere around 160. Right now I just really want to get to 180 and sit there for awhile. Oh and someone else said take measurements! Yes take measurements! It’s good to do them so when the scale is not moving you can still have “proof” you are doing good.
Thank you so much for subscribing! I'm building my way up with exercise, just walking on an incline on the treadmill is enough for me most of the time at the moment! Wishing you the best of luck with your goals!
Just found this and it’s amazing 🤩 so excited for you! I’m trying to lose too so I’m along for the journey ❤
Thank you, good luck to you!
You are just lovely. You have a large audience cheering for you so remember that on your hard days. You can do this!

Hi Sophie. I'm on a weightloss journey and currently 2stone down in 10 weeks, you can do this. Just make sure you get your steps in. Go for an evening walk with the dog. I'm following your journey and wish you the best. Vicky
Wow congratulations Vicky! Best of luck with your journey! I'm increasing my steps a little every day, going on longer walks etc :)
Hi Sophie, I’m new to your channel and I just need to share, I love your attitude and I’m excited to follow along on your journey while I also begin mine! 😊
Hello, welcome! Good luck with your journey! :)
Hello. Just wanted to cheer you on and give you a few tips. 1. Daily walking outside at a fast pace can really ramp out your total calories expended during the day. 2. It’s really important to eat protein, 1.4-1.6 g per kg of goal body weight. Eat protein first because it really makes you full and makes you have less cravings. 3. Do resistance training or weight training. If you lose muscle while losing weight your metabolism can slow down. The more muscle you have the higher metabolism you have. 4. Steer clear of “diet foods” because they can actually make you gain weight since they replace fat with sugar. Good luck!
Thanks for the tips, especially re the diet food! It's so confusing why they do that!
Good luck you can do it! You're giving me courage cause I have at least 3kg to loose!
I’m here to lose with you! I lost over 100 pounds on my own and then stalled for months. Now I’m on Ozempic for type 2 diabetes and I’ve lost a few pounds in the past 10 days!
Hope it helps with your health too! Well done on the weight loss before too :)
I would drink a protein shake before a workout, because if you don't eat anything at all, you will be starving after working out and might binge (from my own experience). But like someone said if you eat before, you might feel a bit full to workout properly if you have a meal right before.
Thanks for the advice :)
You got this!!!👏🏼
Thank you!
I’m so grateful for your inspiration and relentless joy! I feel that watching you will help me with my weight loss journey as well. This is very healing. Wishing you the best of luck! ☺️☺️
Thank you, good luck to you too!
You're doing fabulously, Sophie! I think your reward system is a great idea! Keep going! I'll be right along with you in my own journey
Such a good idea, thank you! Thank you for your support! Good luck with your journey
Greeting from Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦 you are inspiring me! Just subscribed. ❤🎉😊
Wow, hello Canada! Thank you for subscribing!
Knowing your overall goal is good information to have even if it seems daunting now. I always broke my big goals into smaller goals like little stepping stones. You don't want to make rewards for tiny drops at the start as if you are as obese as you stated then weight should come off easier at the beginning if you're exercise and in a calorie deficit. I do love that the rewards aren't tied to food at all.
Eat a small snack like string cheese or a piece of fruit, but not a meal before the gym.
You might be shocked with portion sizes when you start to measure things like pasta, rices, salad dressings, etc. I remember the first time I made pasta for my family and made everyone a single portion. I don't think any of us had ever had made that little pasta 🍝😅
Thank you for your advice! Haha, yes portion sizes are definitely an area where I need to improve!
I just started my journey too! I’m excited to follow along with you!
Ah welcome and good luck!
I am also on a weightloss journey right now!
I have also sort of yo-yo’d for a long time.
You’ve got a great outlook, you’re so right that this isn’t just about weightloss. It’s about health, self care and self love! ❤️.
Best of luck to you, hopefully we can get healthier together :)
I’m starting my weightless journey as well! Woohoo
Good luck!
New subscriber! Love your energy! I started losing weight this year 10/23. Seriously since April 2024. I’m down from abiut 280 pounds to 228 pounds. I eat one meal a day and eat as much as I want until I’m full. Mostly meat, some dairy, eggs, non-starchy vegetables, no seed oils, only berries for fruits. I still eat out and do take out by sticking to my guidelines. I can’t believe how much my inflammation has improved to disappeared!! I’m slowly adding exercise. I was insulin resistant and had a HgbA1C of 6.2. It’s down to 5.7 in only a few months. My hardest thing has been giving up soda, especially Red Bull. Best of luck to you!! We can do this!!
Wow congratulations! Thank you for your encouragement!
Good luck!!! what a journey!!!
Thank you! :)
This motivated me to make a youtube channel about losing weight and try. I think it would keep me accountable as well. Not only that tho, i think people can give me ideas on how else i could do things since my situation isnt the best but theres always room for creativity. I still dont know how to organize the video or what to say but I'm gonna try. Hopefully nobody lowkey bullies me 😭
Aw this is wonderful! Best of luck to you! And ignore any negative comments. Takes a bit of getting used to but you'll do it!

Hey Sophie, this video is so cute. Bless you for taking the first steps towards your goal! You've got this! I started mine at the end of May and am down 35 pounds so far and about halfway to my goal using intermittent fasting. It's not for everyone but really working for me with 10,000 steps per day and 20-minute workouts in the mornings and evenings and weekends to rest.
Sending lots of motivation and determination to you, you can do this!! 🫶💪

999th sub, good luck!
Oh my goodness, thank you, you're a gem!
Hay Sophie, so glad you're getting started. I lost about 60 pounds this last year. I have never lost that much before. And the thing that really helped me was trying to find the WHY of my self sabotage. It took years. It is never just one thing. I also realized I have binge spending issues as well. And So I would buy food and other crap didn't need. which would trigger a Self loathing binge cycle. So it is a tough road. But Doable. Starting Tomorrow i'm doing a thirty-one day.Challenge exercising for an hour everyday. Which will be fun because I work fourteen hour days. I am cheering you on.🎉
Well done to you! Thanks for the encouragement, best of luck to you with your challenge!
I'm here with you. Also trying to get healthier and fitter.
Best of luck to you!
@@sophiemayeveryday Thank you much, Sophie! Same to you❤
Great job so far😊 I highly recomend doing strength training focusing on progressive overload and thereby building muscle (group classes are not good for this, you should have a muscle building program designed for you), this will help your metabolism in the long run, is good for insulin sensitivity and will help maintain your results. Also in combination with eating a high protein diet (1g of protein pr lbs of your goal wieight) to fuel muscle growth
I want to do more strength training but find it a little intimidating still! Will work my way up to it!
I’m nervous to try to loose weight 😢thanks for sharing your journey!
It's a difficult process for most people but if it will make you healthier its worth it! :)
Dear Sophie,
I went through the entirety of your video and as someone who has lost a bit of weight, I'd like to share some things with you:
IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING IN A CALORIE DEFICIT - eating healthy, eating protein, exercising, walking, pilates, you name it, its all about calorie deficit. There's how much calories you add on(eating) and how much calories you expend (exercising, walking, pilates, bmr, etc) and as long as you're going to stay in a deficit, you're going to lose weight. That being said, you don't necessarily need to exercise more to expend more energy. Trust me you its much harder to burn calories than to add on fewer calories. An hour of walking will make you lose less than 300 calories. In my opinion, you need to find a diet that works for you. There's a website to check your calorie deficit. It shows you a good estimate of how much calories you need to stay in deficit to lose weight. But, generally as long as you can stay in a 3500 calorie deficit in a week (500 per day) you can lose 1 pound that week. Focus on your diet. This will be the biggest contributor to your weight loss.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW MUCH CALORIES THERE IS IN YOUR FOOD - Many, if not all people will seriously underestimate the amount of calories there is in their food. They would be shocked to find out that they are actually consuming much more calories than they thought. There are a few good videos on youtube that show you exactly how many calories in which food. You might consider checking out those videos to accurately track your calories.
BE SMART ABOUT YOUR FOOD - There are so many alternates to the type of food that you enjoy that are actually much more healthier and less calorie dense. You need to substitute those smarter choice foods for the ones you're eating currently. It will help immensely cut down your calorie add on.
TRY INTERMITTENT FASTING - Intermittent fasting wont actually help you burn your calories faster. But, it will help you control your food intake. Eating in a specific window helps you stay satiated while making sure you can control your calories. 8 / 16 is the easiest and I've found an easy way to do it for me. I eat my first meal at 1:00 pm and last meal at 7:00 pm, only 2 meals a day. All other times only coffee and water. Coffee will reduce your appetite as well. This combined with the smart choice food I mentioned, ensures I'm always full and my calorie add on is around 1500 calories a day.
THIS NEEDS TO BE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE - Staying in a calorie deficit will help you lose weight, but you will put it back on if you don't make this part of your lifestyle. Think of your diet and your exercise as a new lifestyle choice. Only when you do it without a second thought, will you be able to consistently continue to hit your weight loss goals.
Best of Luck.
Wow, what a wealth of knowledge this comment is! Thank you for your advice! I'm focusing on it being sustainable so it will be an actual lifestyle change and not a fad. Thank you :)
New subscriber, I have only just found you. I'm really looking forward to cheering you on. 😊

Wow, you are super organized! I love how you have everything planned out and you are not making yourself let go of the things that you love. You might wanna jump on that Pilates class scheduling before Sunday though. Sounds like they fill up pretty fast. 😁 looking forward to seeing your update you got this! I never liked BMR either. When I taught fitness classes, I would have them sometimes at 6 PM. What I would do is I would have a light meal at about 430 and then I would have a protein rich meal when I got home at about seven kind of split my dinner into.two - do you want to have the energy for the class and you don’t want to be eating too late so it’s a tricky one but experimentation will get you to the place that works perfect for you
I feel the need to be organised because of the gym classes going so quickly I think! Thanks for the tip, I may try that and keep experimenting!
Good luck with your journey :)

Please dont shy away from weight section either! Girls lift too and its amazingly motivating when you get to move the weight up a notch 🎉
Ooh thanks for the tips. I was looking at knee support type things but had no idea what I was looking for! :)
When you workout make sure your stomach is comfortable, not starving, but not full, maybe a small snack beforehand, and make sure you drink a lot of water, try to workout when you have the most energy during free time; and also be gentle with yourself during your period, as well make sure you get enough sleep and try not to stress and prioritize balance and mental health. Believe me working out with no sleep is like amazing bc the adrenaline rush and painful like hell and recovery is a whole lot harder, I would just try to eat a lot of fruits and veggies with my meals with water on the side and it can be a small portion of whatever you wish (about the size of your fist) so that you still have that balance of whatever you wish so you still feel satiated and get that fiber in so digestion is easier and your digestion metabolism is faster, the good things about where your at with your weight is that you have a high basal metabolic rate meaning that your body naturally expects a lot of calories to sustain your weight so just you exercising will pull fat off your body, and eventually that fat will either be fuel for workouts or muscle, and acclimating your body to the healthy lifestyle routines such as being outside, being mindful of your eating and mental health, persuing goals and motivations in life, etc. puts your body in a state of autophagy where your cells will better function when distributing and utilizing the nutrients from food in your body. 😊hope this helps and sorry if it's long and I admire your optimism and motivation.
Don't worry about it being long - I find it all very interesting! Thanks for the advice :)
Good luck, new subscriber here. Totally relate to your 13 year old weight watchers story and slimming world and yo yo dieting, although I'm probably about your mum's age 😂. I started my current weight loss also in January, starting weight was 23 stone 10 lbs, I'm down to 17 stone 10 lbs and pretty ecstatic. Thank you so much Jo! Huge congratulations, what an incredible accomplishment!

Well done on getting started. It took me a year to lose 14 pounds but in the last 3 months I lost another 14 pounds. What helped me speed things up was going for a 5k Parkrun once a week and always trying to eat in a calorie deficit. Good luck on your journey!
Wow, well done you! I did a 5k last year and hated every second so I will have to work my way up to Park runs I think haha :)
@@sophiemayeveryday thanks! I had to build up to doing my first 5k by following the couch to 5k app so I know it's something that takes a lot of preparation. You can really do anything to work up a sweat and it'll help with weight loss but it definitely helps if you enjoy it as that helps with forming a habit. Keep up the good work 😁
Thank you!
Buy a stationary bike or just a desk bike because you can scroll on your phone whilst burning calories. Do something low impact like cycling or treadmill, something you can do everyday
Good ideas, thank you!
i actually want to try and plan like this my weight loss journey. I havent been consistent lately. Not sure what im doing
Consistency is the hardest part for me! Give it a go, it may help :)
Would you consider another eating goal? How about no food between 8 pm and 8 am?
Is that intermittent fasting? I am now doing this and it is really helping the weight loss. 🎉
That's a good idea but honestly I do this already! I've stopped snacking in the evenings etc. :)
New subscriber here! I love your personality! I’m also beginning a weight loss journey (again) and this video made me sit down and finally set my goals! We can do it ❤
Good luck to you!
Hi Sofie i have a tip to help loose weight faster if you are looking for faster results. Go on a calorie deficit diet (does not need to be like a huge one its like eating the same foods now just smaller portion sizes) and drinking diet sodas since they have helped me soooo much and keep me full for so long❤❤❤
Thank you for the tips!
Let’s go girlie we can do this
Good luck to you!
Even just going for a daily walk is great exercise! You don't have to go from 0 to 100 right away. You are more likely to burn out that way.
Something to consider, is that you need to calculate your TDEE (the amount of energy you burn per day) this will let you know how much energy (calories) you need to eat each to meet your goals. The TDEE calculators usually say what amounts you would need to gain, maintain, or lose weight. It doesn't matter how muc you work out or how healthy the foods you eat are if they have more energy in them than you need per day.
Yes I need to work out my TDEE/ calorie goal. Slow and steady with exercise at first I think :)
good luck girlypop you got this!!
Thank you!

Hello girl ! Your vlog did make me laugh you do have a great energy about you ! I wish you well on your mission (I loathe that word ‘journey’😂) I shall be following you with interest. It won’t be easy as you know, but having to come on camera and share with people who can support you and ‘gee you up’ in difficult times will help you. You seem like you are ready for the fight so let’s go my lovely, let’s get started, this was a really entertaining vlog, first steps ! 👍👏🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for your motivation, I really appreciate it!
Good luck on your weight loss journey, take it 1lb at a time and you’ll do it. Amazing that you have 2 degrees, that’s what defines you, what a lot of hard work, one degree was hard enough for me. What line of work are you in if you don’t mind me asking x
Thank you for the motivation! I'm in marketing x
Wishing you all the best with getting healthier!
Thank you very much :)
Heeeey 👋 new sub 😉
Looking forward to seeing your progress 🎉
You got this ❤
I don’t know what you do for a living but the way you talk sounds so motivating, honest and realistic you should consider becoming a weight loss mentor, dietitian or some capacity where you give advice to people looking to lose weight.
@paulacroftprentice4096 me!? I do overnight stock replenishment 😊 I'd love to get a food nutritionist certification oneday, but just as something to have rather than to profit from 😊
Thank you very much for subscribing and you're motivation! :)
