With a large contingent of "hangers on" and people in the "circle" around celebs, easy for someone to borrow the car and for no-one to really keep track of who had it or where it is.
Rob I don't know it's that unusual for someone to forget where they parked. Many years ago I lived in Athens Greece and misplaced 3 different rental cars. The company just gave me another, as they always find them right away. Happens a lot with tourists who can't read Greek. I lost 2 rentals when I lived in Malta. Same thing. They were used to it. So needless to say misplacing a car is not that uncommon, if language and possibly alcohol involved. Drove there sober, got a bit wobbly boot and then taxied home. Couldn't find car next day.
Rob has addressed this before. It's largely maintenance cost, but also by paying a rental company, the car will always be in the best condition possible and you aren't paying insurance on it.
I own a transportation company and we are always dropping off cars at celebrities houses everybody thinks these people are so rich but they’re not all their cars are rented or leased

If TMZ can’t get ahold of it, I think there’s a high possibility it doesn’t exist. I think, someone in Offset’s crew borrowed the car and Offset forgot about it then stopped making payments because he forgot who has the car, told the rental company, they found the car, but due to global events still affecting travel they weren’t able to rent it out again so they’ve decided to sue him.
