App is using up to 5% of engin power so if they need this power they have to keep the apu running during takeoff
Engine bleed air for the environmental system taps some performance. With APU running they can get max performance with engine bleeds off and still run ECS with APU bleed air.
What was the black thing flapping about next to the starboard undercarriage leg upon throttle up? 🤔
I noticed it too. It looked like some sort of trim / gasket on the landing gear doors, but I couldn't tell for sure.
