I have been watching your channel since your other RV burned down. I am glad you are healing from your surgery and getting your new rv up to your own par. Stay strong and keep in truckin! 🐕🚙📐🔧🔨🤗❤️👋
Cool! I had my daughter help me remove my fridge, and then the furnace, and then the stove! I managed the sink and pump and water heater on my own. I removed one entire wall they were in, and the rebuild has just begun! Good luck with your frame out. I am glad that fridge fit so well top to bottom!
Excellent explaintion video..Electric and propane I know nothing about..I have respect for you taking extra precautions..Both scare me..Thank you for the video..I am learning by watching you..Have a blessed day..
Nice job getting all those screws out of the refrigerator! What a job for you. It’s great seeing how you work and how it turned out for you and now you have your own cooler inside your new RV.👍
It tickles me when you talk to Badge. I don't know enough yet to outfit a tool box, but I think he may have a list inside his head. He isn't always where you need him physically, but I think you have him living rent free in your head. That's a good thing. You guys are teaching us. Thanks for a great video. I will be taking my Norco propane/DC/electric fridge out of the motorhome to put in van/box conversion. Looking good on healing.
Glad to see you've got yourself a good project; I like it! Mine 's an 1987 class C. My kids are determined to see me get rid of it! They think it's a junker. I think it just needs a lot of TLC.
It's good to have healthy respect for both propane and electricity You did a good job getting it out Randy can't wait for the next project Ace was just wanting some attention you can tell he love you we all take care and be safe and see you on the next one
This was very helpful. I thought I'd have to take the whole wall out ! I probably am going to take that wall out later but it would've been wayyy overcomplicated. Now that I got the fridge out of the wall.. I'm on step 2: getting the fridge outside. I have to pry the metal frame in the front completely off the fridge in order to get it out.
This is EXACTLY what I want to do to my old Scamper, would love to see how you mounted and hooked up your new electric fridge, and sealed it all to look pretty.
hope you saved those dark pans to use (i have two like them in my full side fridge) might just fit inside of yours smaller one. and a rack or two for over a fire grill...great to sit a pot on or pan, or use for a shelf inside a cabinet....I am sure you save because I know you use everything. Dan must be gone now ?? Be blessed...Cil
I wish I had those connections on the old ice box. For my new gov assistance check for a fish finder lol I like to take things like that all apart and keep screws and bolts /nuts copper /brass valves and so on
🙂🙂🙂🙂,👍, always good seeing you,ya I miss things and it'll be in front of me,🙂IAM half van/ half brick ..when I hit the road I sure would enjoy visiting,🙂,stay safe ,
I will probably be doing the same thing soon. I am thinking about taking Mine and getting it fixed. I know mine sprang a leak, because one night I could smell Amonia really bad. There is a place up North, that sells new units for them and I think they will install them for You. I know it is called Ford's and I think it is Penslvania. A new fridge like that is over $600, but they are nice because they will work on Propane or Electric.
Good to get some instructions from a Plano English-speaking ( not one of those technical mechanics that thinks you understand everything he says).. Down to earth dog loving camper dude. Thank you
Yikes! Cutting both those 12V wires could make a heck of a spark if theyre live. Simple test to check with a meter or test light. Marking Positive and Negative might be useful when you hook up up the new frig. Stay safe out there!!.
I'm curious on what fridge you replaced it with? I am on my 2nd dead Norcold fridge. They are too expensive to keep replacing. And the only way to get it out is to remove my big window. A total PIA. In the meantime, I have an apartment type of fridge, which is in the way.
I have the same generation of dometic fridge. Only mine has one door. But the fridge controls and gas igniter are exactly the same. I can get the pilot lit but the fridge doesn't get cold. And it doesn't work on electricity either
You can convert the 12 volt over to the shore power just put a splitter in between so that when you're aren't on Shore power if you're off grid will run your refrigerator as long as you have enough solar panels to run it if you have three or four solar panels that should run your refrigerator at least during the day
Next time you need to run the wire nuts all the way down instead of just a few turns. You don't need another fire on the new to you rig ;) I know you put the tape but the wire nuts needed to be screwed down tight until they stopped.
Hi Randy, I hope you & Ace are staying cool and your incision is healing. Replacing that refrigerator was a hard, tedious job, but it was worth it. The new one looks beautiful! Time to buy some meat and ice cream! ❄🌬❄
The struggle is real !!! There's something wrong with me that I am entertained by your struggle to cut a wire. I'd help if I was there though. Peace out. Keep doing what u do.
@@themobiletraveler5927 Not trying to bust your chops. I probably shouldn't watch. I spent 20 years as a Journeyman electrician .. Worked at a national lab with the best technicians in the USA. here th-cam.com/video/c6i5VhTu8Y0/w-d-xo.html
My EMS partner was also a licensed electrician. He told me a saying: "There are old electricians and bold electricians, but there are NO "old, bold" electricians." I do minimal electrical work because I've seen what it can do. I'll stay paranoid and work VERY safely. You stay the same.

Thanks for sharing. This simplifies things a lot for a job that seemed more complex than it actually is. Happy Camping!
Good man be safe love your home and God bless you and Ace

Thanks randy. This helped me and my boyfriend replace the fridge in our "new" 1976 coachmen cadet :)
Glad to see you working hard trying to get the show back on the road.
Good job! Ace is a sweet Bog! He loves you!

I'm going to replace mine, when old one quites working. Good job.

Hope mines never stops working I’d be in real trouble! That’s a lot of work...+ hard.. good job, thanks for sharing

Well that wasn't too bad. Don't forget that propane line plug.
I suggest pulling the fuse on the panel to the 12v fridge supply. Nothing to short anywhere that way 👍
Copy that I did do that I just didn't show it
That’s looking darn good!!!
Safety should always be the number one concern. Ace is thinking what is he doing not paying attention to me.

Your new refrigerator I have the same one in my bus had a lot of room in it✌🤙❤👨🍳🎅🚌s
2nd and I am also in Ireland.
Cool project
Ace approved
Coolbeans! U made that look easy! I am VERY nervous to work with electricity & propane!
ManyBlessings💜😎
You made that look easy Randy 👍🏻

Who knows maybe we we'll meet up down the road
Well I missed part but thanks for showing this!
Very informative video. Nice new fridge.
Great job 👍👍👍😊 see yah Randy and Ace hugs always 😘

Ausia had to change hers out in her old Rig Panda.
What size of cap did you get to cap your gas line from fridge
Looks really great
1st and I’m in Ireland 😂😂😂😂
Looks good. Great Job. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤🐾⭐
Thank you!
I hear ya, Brother!
Great 👍
great vid

Exactly and that's what I'll do
Both time with the wrong kind of cutter!😂😂😂 💯👍
I know can you believe it I'm trying to find it almost didn't put it on but that's my life.
How do you cap off the propane?
I put a regular fridge in my RV not the best for boondocking I have to use generator.
Mine will run on the solar panels
3:40 it would make MORE since to just disconnect the battery. I’m just saying 🤷🏽♂️
Does anyone know what size the plug would be for the gas.? Or what box store sells them
I used a male cap that went into a half inch gas line
It would’ve been handy if you would’ve shown how you remove the doors. I have a manual for this unit but nothing tells me how to remove the doors.
Bye Ace!
Did he just use pruning shears to cut those wires?
a job i keep putting off on ours
👍👍✔✔🐾🐾
👍👍👍
assistant!!! where is your helper Dan?
Damn had to leave about two weeks ago
Save your refrig wire helves, you can use for other shelving.
👏👍🙏

Actually the wire nuts are ran as far as they can run I just didn't do it all on tape thank you for the advice though
Good Lord I'm wore out watching you work lol
It would be just as safe to just disconnect your coach power. Then no need to cut yout 12v plug as you will most probably need it later.
Hi Randy,
I hope you & Ace are staying cool and your incision is healing. Replacing that refrigerator was a hard, tedious job, but it was worth it. The new one looks beautiful! Time to buy some meat and ice cream! ❄🌬❄
Solar will run that little fridge easy0
How to fit it thru the doorway is what I watched for..I see I have to remove my front door jamb..ug last 1 I cut it in half lol
The struggle is real !!! There's something wrong with me that I am entertained by your struggle to cut a wire. I'd help if I was there though. Peace out. Keep doing what u do.
Yeah I know right can't believe they would have cut with my snips
@@themobiletraveler5927 Its all good. Real people doing real stuff. LIFE
no need to cut the wires . There are set screws in the white terminal block holding each wire in..a small flat head screwdriver is all that is needed
BOOM!
You should not play with gas you and 🔥 don't get along .
Lol
Why not unscrew the wires? why cut them? why not just fix the fridge?
The wires were marked the Caps were on tight and then taped they are in a secure location tucked away thanks for the comment and the concern

"The hardest part was getting the doors off"...
Doesn't show how to get the doors off...
!!

That looked like fun. NOT!
Hay Randy message or text me a mailing address and I'll send you some children locks for the 2 door to keep them closed
It's in the description of the video
