Thanks for this video, I am looking to remove ours and replace with a residential unit and this helps very much. I hope I find your installation video next to see how you put the new one in.
Thank you so for the to make this video. We live in our RV and the dreaded ammonia spell this weekend. Had no clue how to remove the unit. Your video was a great help. Got it out and to the curb just in time for someone to run and get it :) You are great … Thank You again david
Great idea! Many R/Vs burn to the ground because of the reefer! Household reefers don't use as much electric as folks think. Solar could run one successfully. Even better might be to install a "marine" 12 volt conversion unit!
Excellent video on fridge removal. My fridge works fine but I wanted to run some solar wires down behind it and I was not able to do that without moving it. Thanks for putting this video together
Great info! We bought a used custom car hauler that we use for camping and hauling our toys (jeep, atvs). I had a very small 3-way cooler that works but is just too small for our trips. We want to remove the fridge and install a residential fridge in another space. This video has provided the info we needed, thanks!
My 1990 Pace Arrow has a Dometic RM 2804 and the mounting points are identical. The installer didnt put the 4 screws on the side of the front frame though the holes were present. Thanks for your to-the-point video. I knew some models had screws inside and with the horrific stench coming from inside I wanted to be sure how to remove it before opening doors!
Thanks for posting this, we used your video to help us remove our dometic rm2611. Though ours has a different electric cables, but we still followed your video and now it's out. Thank you.
Great video... I've got a rotten floor underneath my fridge, and I was confused as to what to disconnect outside. This video did the trick, and didn't waste any time with needless talking. Straight to the point... thanks!
well some i think ( norcold ) as a white and black wires, that also connected to your hot water atwood and the furnace connected to the norcool refrigerator, when we took ours out last night, the water heater and the furnace does not want to work.. any ideas on where to add these wires?
SSLFamilyDad, You did a good job on your video friend. Just wanted to let you know we give a life time warranty on our RV refrigerator cooling units.GBYAY
What did you do with the old frig? Ours just died after it automatically started defrosting itself and I was so glad to see this and the other video on installing a regular frig.
Did you have trouble getting the fridge out of the door? I have an old camper and want to remove the fridge old fridge to replace it with a more efficient one but... Been dreading trying to get it through the door.
i pretty sure im a little late i have the exact fridge after lots of research i found an apartment refrigerator stainless steel that fits right in cost me only $400 vs 1,600 at the rv place for smaller rv fridgidaire 4.5 or for bigger ones like the domestic fridge i found the avanti 7.5 hope it can safe someone some money

+David Boyter glad it helped!!
I see you managed to get it out of the camper. Was hoping to see that bit (slide it out front first or sideways...) and avoid any issues.
Thank you for posting this! My 1990 Warrior had a much newer fridge but, since it was also a Dometic, all the attachment points were the same.
I love you for this! Mine just died and I was afraid to take it out. Yea, new pantry space.
Hey I’m remodeling too! Can I see your progress from that project?

Try taking door off ..
@@paintbrush1718 The fridge door or rv door?
How did u slid it to get to the two last screws on the back
I can't get to the fridge from the outside and I think the only way to get it out is to take the entire wall out
i pretty sure im a little late i have the exact fridge after lots of research i found an apartment refrigerator stainless steel that fits right in cost me only $400 vs 1,600 at the rv place for smaller rv fridgidaire 4.5 or for bigger ones like the domestic fridge i found the avanti 7.5 hope it can safe someone some money
+Alex Giacoman, I also found the same one your talkin about on walmarts website, please let me know if that worked for you
What happened with the DC wires connected to the Dometic frig? Do they splice together a certain way with wire nuts or leave disconnected?
+stephen long cut or wire nut and leave disconnected
Looks like a great item to release some stress with. I'll bring the sledge hammer.
Did you take that out the door?
+Jodi Richards yes, fit out the door no problem
Got all screws out....
Thank you for the info, it's very helpful. Keep up the Bible verses.
