    Looks good and definitely helps with cleaning! Only concern I would have though is this…my dad had bought an outdoor building and put down rubber mats for easier cleaning also. After a year or so, we noticed how much moisture was being held underneath of it due to temp change. We ended up pulling it up to keep the plywood from rotting.

    after watching this, I thought maybe if some material went up the wall a little it would create a bathtub to manage any fluid leakage.

    That was quite an effort in that heat and humidity! Hopefully it cooled off in the evening but you were so soaked by then you didn't notice. Mid 60's in Anchorage and beautiful sunshine but was 48 and rain last Friday, I got cold and soaked in just an hour installing an exterior door.

    Good looking. Just a heads up. My biggest mistake I made in my trailer was hanging too much weight from the ceiling joists in the wrong place. Hung a ladder 16 foot, double aluminum, in such a way that it twisted the frame enough to allowed the roof joint to gap and allow water intrusion.

    My 28’ trailer has a hard spray in liner like used on the bottom of air-boats. It goes up the walls about 6” and makes pressure washing it out now very nice.

    • @jeffo1108
      @jeffo1108 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I was wondering if a spray in bed liner (Linex, Rinoliner, et al) would have been a good choice. Not going to be as inexpensive as the rolled vinyl but maybe $250-$300 or so. Less area and easier prep then for a truck bed.

    • @akbychoice
      @akbychoice 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffo1108 I’m sure it would work well. I know someone that had the floor of his pickup sprayed with bedliner spray. He says it’s much easier to keep clean than the carpet was.

    This something I hate when a contactor does is change what product they uses half way threw a project without knowing if one is better than another. In some cases they are as good others there not. Yes I'm being picky so take that with a grain of salt. Thanks for making the video as it's helping me with Ideas for a future project I'm planning. I can tell you if E-trailer is as good as they were in the past they are great to do business with!

    Two words: Cardboard Templates
    Yes, I realize that's my OCD talking, but it would drive me absolutely crazy to have miss-cut the angles so badly. I'd have worked from the front to the back since a strait cut across the back would have been so much easier.

    Great video! The trailer looks Great 👍 I love the rubber material and tracking system that you have installed. Multiple attachments for securing the load are important given the diversity of cargo that will need secured property in transit.
    I have a toy Hauler that I want to add some tracking and hanging storage to for straps and other stuff needed but don't have enough cabinets to accommodate all of the stuff I end up loading into it while I'm traveling to camp spots in Washington State and further out in the region in future exploration of scrounging state of the PNW.
    Thanks for the very knowledgeable and useful information you deliver in your videos and
    HAPPY CAMPING 🏕 😁

      My toyhauler has E-track in the rear. Two different levels on each side and two on the floor. The possibilities are almost endless. I like the 2x4 brackets for making shelving side to side. I have even made sleeping bunks using them along with some plywood.

  • @hollywd269

    I'm sure you aware of this but thought I'd share I put etrack on my walls as well and I didn't like those edges of the Etrack that stuff will take your skin right off if you run in to it. I found on ebay they make Etrack ends. Simply loosen up the end screws and slid it under the Etrack and tighten back down. I think this would be a great add on to your project even on the floor since the Etrack isn't recessed. I wish I had a way to send you a picture of these pieces!

    Just an FYI from an old quilter, a diagonal line hides better than a straight line. Your eye wants to follow a straight line so you “see” it whereas a you eye doesn’t want to follow a diagonal.

    Just a thought and I don't know if it would make an appreciable difference but have you considered insulating the ceiling and covering with luan? Being in TX it may help with heat rejection with the sun beating down on it all day. 🤷‍♂️

    Any updates on how that floor is holding up? Any bubbles? Pulling up anywhere? Have you had your ramp open out in direct sun. I did mine few years back (with different adhesive) and ramp was impossible in the sun - 10 mins and bubles everywhere

    The two tie downs at the rear are in backwards. The four points should be pointing towards each other (the center of the trailer). Think tying down a motorcycle, the ones in the rear would be pulled back against their hinge point.

    Epoxy paint with grit vs Rubber mat flooring… which is better?

    • @relaxation2380
      @relaxation2380 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Rubber flooring made for trailers with adhesive made for tailer is better than epoxy but expensive! Epoxy would cost just as much as his project did and probably last longer with less problems but idk maybe he gets lucky. The thing with trailers is they get HOT 🔥 so you need adhesive that can handle that as well as flooring that won't stretch or melt I've seen people cheap out on doing the floor and they end up with big problems down the road so if your not willing to spend the money on good adhesive (it's like $300 for 4 gallons) and good flooring from a company like G-floor than just do the epoxy
