  • As we stay isolated from others and often stuck in our homes, we may be seeking options to exercise. Here are 15 different push up variations to play around with. You can combine a lot of these and come up with plenty more variants than the ones I've shown here, but this might get you started if you're stumped. The list of push ups can be found below:
    1. Plain old push ups
    2. Push ups on the knees
    3. "Incline" push ups
    4. "Decline" push ups
    5. Wide hand push ups
    6. Narrow hand push ups
    7. Diamond push ups
    8. Ballistic/bouncing push ups
    9. Staggered "east-west" push ups
    10. Ballistic staggered "east-west" push ups
    11. Staggered "north-south" push ups
    12. Knuckle push ups
    13. One leg push ups
    14. Mountain climber push ups
    15. Stop & smell the roses (slow rep) push ups
Stay active, stay healthy, and stay safe!

Ain't it, tho? I got a decent workout just putting this video together. I cut out a lot of reps as I edited the video down, so I actually did more than was shown here. I guess I get to feel productive today :)

FInally learning a bit more about the TH-cam Studio features, including adding copyright-free music to vids. Since I'm not talking in this one, it makes sense to put a track over it.
This particular track kind of spoke to me :)

I actually tried it, but my knee isn't stable enough to handle that position; spreading my legs apart for support puts a torque through the joint that it can't take once I start going down. I'm strong enough to do at least a few (though I'm WAY rusty), but I need this knee to come together first.
I still should have kept that footage, perhaps. It'd make for a good piece of a blooper reel :-P
