I love that you are so REAL. Kids playing noisily in the background, recipes that fail, trying again and again until it works because you didn't give up, redeeming the "ruined" recipe giving it new life as a S'more Pie!!! Not sure it was your intention, but you gave so many beautiful life lessons in this one little video. Thank you!
Dear Sonya, I am not Jewish but I can watch your channel all day long! I've learned so much about your culture, your religion, and life in general! You have such a soothing voice! It's so easy to listen to you! I wish you were my physics teacher back in the day! I would've passed with flying colors! Although you share your recipes and customs, I think the most important thing you bring to the world, is that, at the end of the day, we are all human beings just trying to the best us that we can be! Ty for showing that we aren't as different as we may think. Blessings to you and yours!
Hi Sonya! I used to own my own Chocolate shop where I created my own hand dipped chocolates. You cannot get any moisture in the chocolate as you are tempering it (melting and bringing to a certain temperature to be ready for dipping) or the chocolate will seize. You weren't having trouble melting it - the chocolate got water in from floating in the pot and it seized. At that point you really needed to throw it out and start over. Tempering chocolate is like making meringue...very easy to ruin it. We are all on a journey learning from one another. My youngest son (we are Christian) is engaged to a lovely Jewish girl so I watch you to learn ways to make my soon to be daughter in law feel welcomed into our family by incorporating both our beliefs, so thank you for teaching me! I hope in return I was able to assist you! Hanukkah Sameach!
Absolutely LOVE your reality...kids in background, normal frustrations in the kitchen, and your children helping you with the Prep! Love your son's shirt with Junior Chef on it. How appropriate! I wasn't too familiar with hot cocoa bombs but have a new appreciation for all the effort that goes into them. What a fun treat that's extra fun!😍❤👦👧👩🧒
Oh Sonya your Hanukkah is lovely. As a lone, isolated Jew, in a city without Jewish community, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I need to get out of here. I deserve to have love and celebration in my life. Thank you for making me feel not quite so alone, while I'm still here.
@@SonyasPrep thank you for your sweet words. I'm still lighting my Hanukkiah, but there's no sentiment or feeling. I'm praying for some community and much needed love + support in my life for next year. Take care and have a wonderful last 3 nights.
We are similar this way, I won’t stop until I get it right! I love how real your videos are, with the babies living their best lives in the back ground!
😆 yes!! The determination to get it right is real lol… It’s important for me to showcase these moments so that people realize I’m human just like everyone else.
I love that you teach your children how to bake and cook. It's such an important lesson and it makes them happy and create a lot of memories. I used to put my little girl on the counter so she could see what I was doing while cooking. She was always eager to help and we talked about the dishes and why they had to be cooked this way etc. She is now an acomplished cook and make all her meals from scratch even if she lives alone in a tiny student apartment. I will try making latkes this christmas. Happy chanukka to you and your family from a fan in Norway.
As a mom of 5 and an ccu nurse, I know how things can get me stressed out. Your real life videos are precious. Your composure is inspiring to me. Your videos have really helped me in my journey. I am not feeling well right now but trying to keep my holiday spirit up.
I love cocoa bombs!!
Your presentation is sooo heartwarming! I wish you and your entire family a warm and loving holiday season. Also continued blessings!!
Oh no Cheryl! I hope that you are well soon. ❤️
@@SonyasPrep thank you.... I will be well soon. I am already feeling better today! Hey do you have any good recipes for soups?? I would love to know....
Hi Sonya! Love to watch your channel. The chocolate when you initially were melting it seized because of the moisture. Sometimes you can save it with some shortening. Love that you made something out of the chocolate still ❤️
I really enjoyed this one Sonya, because your personality shone out when you were faced with a frustrating challenge! Happy holidays 🙂
Happy holidays
Everything looks yummy 💕
