- Diy fix on my wife's 2009 nissan rogue airbag light ,After unpluging the front panel to fix the cigarette lighter ,the airbag light started blinking . I checked the connections underneath the chairs and also checked the fuse. To no avail the problem is still there, Solution: go to TH-cam.

Your video saved us $800.00. We were having the same problem and I cleaned all the terminals and the light still blinked. We took it to you mechanic and after he evaluated it he told us the seat would have to be replaced costing $800.00. I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue. I can't believe it, it worked!!!! You do have to wait for the slow diagnostic blink to happen, if not it doesn't work. It took me a couple of tries since I do not do this often obviously! Thank you! I got as excited as you! My mechanic was ordering me a part for $400.

OK so I watched the video that you included in the description and the only thing you forgot the mention was u gotta wait until the light blinks then turn the key off and count the 5 etc. Then it worked like a charm. Thank yo very much for sharing

Put some dielectric grease on my under seat connections, checked fuse, then did reset. It worked. So far no light has come on been a few days! Thanks!

I just did with my 2014 Nissan Rogue and it worked! I did four times, just like you did and then started engine! 😊👍

Look at other video's look for yellow wiring harness under passenger or driver seat, clean out all debris and WITH CAR OFF - wiggle the yellow wiring harness at the plug to make sure not knocked loose...this fixed mine after the restarts did not so my issue was different. But its fixed and I learned more today!!

This is a neat trick, but it won't last. I have a 2009 frontier with the same problem. The first time I did the turning the key on and off thing to reset it, it worked, but in a couple of days it started blinking again. now every time I do that trick, it will make it stop blinking, until I start going down the road and it starts blinking again. The first time I did it I was very happy because I thought it was a miracle fix, but it didn't last.

@@pinoychefincanada9317 well unfortunately I don't think you can truly solve this without addressing the root cause of the flashing light. What people who post these videos don't tell you is, you might be able to stop the light from blinking temporarily, but if you don't fix the problem that is causing the blinking light, it's going to come back every time. From what I have read, most likely reason is either a bad weight sensor in the passenger seat or a bad airbag ECU/sensor. I have done that trick to stop the light from blinking several times, but it always starts blinking again. Always. The only thing to do is to get a deep scan done on the airbag system and find out what the problem is.
@@rustypugh123 - Just to add to this and hopefully help others I had the same issue , reset and came back eventually. I replaced the airbag clockspring/squib and same issue. My mechanic checked fault code and stated it is a faulty passenger airbag switch at fault. I have a part off ebay ready to fit. Will do that this weekend and come back to respond if it resolved or not. The other part to look for is the SRS airbag module located underneath the gear leaver area. It is a simple plug and play part. This is on a UK 2008 model by the way

Thank you very much it works. I went to the dealer and they try to reset by computer and the light come back after 50ft driving and they told me to change the air bag module labor and part between 850.00 to 900.00.
They a bunch of thieves! Always trying to sell consumers something basic of which they can easily fix. I can't with them!

I had the same issue so look at clockspring/squib replacement or SRS Airbag module located under the gearstick area. Parts can be sourced on Ebay at reasonable cost

It worked for for just the first time, no luck trying It any more it won’t reset thinking about contacting the dealer for a recall possibility.!

That didn't work on my 2008...tried multiple times
Had the same issue. Looked everywhere and pieced together this solution. My car had the passenger airbag light on too. When I tried this the blinking changed from steady short blinks to a 3 second blink followed by 5 short blinks. The pattern repeated over and over. I guess this is code 15? I have leather heated seats and apparently the heated seats messes up the Occupant Classification System (OCS). Found a sensor at airbag360 and bought the part on a whim from Ireland (I'm from California). Fixed the issue and super easy to install. Hope that helps someone cause it took me forever to figure out and I wasn't sure it would work.

It worked on my 2011 Nissan Rogue. I had to crank the car twice after going through the turn on/turn off routine 3 times.
That worked on my Rogue 2008 SL. First time did not work, then I did the sequence again and light is no longer blinking. Thanks

Maybe I did it wrong 2014 Nissan rogue S. My vehicle only beeps 4 times also
It does work on my Qashqai, but it starts blinking again after a couple of days. I'm gonna try WD 40 on the connections under the seat.
Look at clockspring/squib or SRS airbag module as potential areas. Parts are cheap to source off Ebay or breakers

get the code first. If its evap code remember to tighten your gas cap til it clicks. If the code gives you a sensor, get the sensor and youtube repair.
