Josh thank you for your video's for someone new to how to properly detail a car. Video's cover "basic" procedures to detailed tasks. Some people may think you get "into the weeds". But I feel all information you post is most benificial.
Thanks for showing us ur process and the products used! Very enjoyable to watch. Nice to see a wash from you. It’s been a little while. Have a good weekend. 😊
Went to my local Home Depot and special ordered that Ryobi blower after watching your first video review on it. Such a game changer! Absolutely love it! I'm just a hobbyist, but such a great tool. Thanks so much for the recommendation!😎
I've got that tiny Ryobi vacuum (which is on sale for $50 right now) and it's been a great portable little machine. Comes in clutch all the time for small quick clean ups.
I lived in north county for 15 years. I couldn’t take it anymore, moved to Oklahoma, bought a big house with a pool after selling my condo. Started my detail and pool business. No more 4 hours in traffic, winter does suck though. How are your knees when you work the sides like that? Get a pad or something pal. Gas is $2.58 for reg, $3.24 for premium in my turbo mazda.
I wash my truck and my work van once a week, and I currently have the 99 Aquatic Life POS DI System, Active 2.0, and the Ava P45 with the MJJC foam cannon. I live in Dallas, TX, where our water quality is terrible, at over 400 ppm. I'm looking for your honest opinion on what I should choose, considering how infrequently I wash. I’m not trying to transform my garage, but I don’t want to be buying supplies every week either. I appreciate your efforts to find value, but I wish someone would give practical advice to those of us who don’t want cheap options but aren’t obsessed either. Sifting through the overwhelming number of products has taken the joy out of my weekly washes. I've wasted more money on so-called "diamond in the rough" recommendations than I care to admit, and I’m over it. Please just provide a straightforward recommendation for a setup that works for those of us willing to spend money wisely without wasting it.
4:30 when you said kcx alkali wheel cleaner I’ve been seeing many ppl have issues post results of using that cleaner is it safe on all surfaces??? I have anoized wheels
Hey. Great video’s 💪 About Gsf… on the bottle it says 20ml in foam sprayer. Not a foam canon ! Many make this mistake. Koch chemie advices 50-100ml in a foam canon.
Hi Josh. Great vid. How do you dry the glass windows completely in Tesla? After I towel dry the Tesla’s, the window glass always have water in the bottom so when we bring the window up and down, it is covered in water again
Thanks for the video Josh. Learned a lot in this video. Curious can people wash their cars outside the house in SD. I thought it is frowned not to wash as the chemicals can go to the rain stream.
Love your videos! They have been super helpful as I’ve gotten back into deriding my own cars vs having someone else do it. So you use a drying aid with that big ol drying towel?
Wow! You did all that in 45 minutes. I need to move faster. The rims and tires slow me down but looks like you didn’t do much to them so that helps. I have some of those twist loop drying towels along with the gauntlet line and I use rags to riches for washing them. Any tips to prevent the lint?
Serious! I’ve done 28 maintenance Mercedes Sprinters in 14 hrs before as a fleet detailer, but I had additional help. This week a full detail took 3 hrs, no clay or polish. I think that was awfully slow…..because the rims, barrels, tires, & wheel well. It took like 10 mins each wheel. I lost my touch
Good job for the price, it's even cheaper than my same process, but I don't do it as fast and organized as you and I usually have a disaster detail job in Michigan. I would like to build a client base based on maintenance wash like this
when using a prewash like KC active foam, do you apply that to the wheels? Or do you use a neutral soap to clean the wheels instead and then apply the active foam?
G'day Josh, great video again. Will you ever be offering international shipping. I really would like the GFX but no one here in Australia has it? You do have it but do not deliver to Aus.
hey Josh. been binging all your videos and actually bought some products per your recommendations (mckillans pro, mmjc pro) and I'm overwhelmed with what products to buy/use. I recently acquired a very nice car and plan on PPF and ceramic coat it before the winter but as it sits now just the area front of the side mirrors is PPF. I wash my car roughly every Sunday so I don't really need heavy duty products as of right now. just maintenance. I've been using Meguiars gold class to keep it simple but just need a little bit of your expertise. Thanks
Hey Josh what's up i saw your video. Great content and very informative videos, keep up the good work. So I saw your tundra and noticed your water tank. How many gallons of H2O does it hold and how many vehicles can you get out of it? You and your family have a blessed Sunday. Ty for any info you can give back....💪💯😎
Hi Josh what do you suggest to clean plastic chrome trim. I have a year old SANTA FE and the plastic chrome just doesn’t look good like the rest of the car
Gday Josh, thx for the great video. Ive got a question for you. I picked up a cheap Karcher K5 compact last week. I also ordered a 1/4" uberflex hose and mtm short gun which came with 030 tips. I did a waterflow test into a sealed bucket. The specs say min flow 7.5 litres per min max 8.3. I got 6.4Litres using the supplied karcher hose and gun/wand. I then swapped to better hose and gun but got the same result. I posted on a FB group and someone said i should try 035 or 040 tips. As i cant test psi, which is supposed to be 2300psi which i highly doubt, i noticed the supplied hose states max 2300psi, so therefore i assume it wont be anywhere near that. How much flow increase should i get in theory using a 35 or 40 tip? Sorry for long spiel. Cheers mate. Also, whats the min waterflow that we should use for an effective pressure washer?
Josh do you know how to stop the discoloration of the black Tesla trim around the windows? I’m not letting any product dry, rinsing it down, doing my own washes and I’ve also tried the stainless steel wipes. The black just looks dirty and marked. Not sure what else I can try
@imjoshv Can I ask; I haven’t de-ionised my car for over 2 years. However, in that time I’ve generated an incredible amount of gloss and a killer finish. If I de-ionise now, will it destroy the coat finish?
Hey Josh I’ve got a dumb question for you. I’ve got a Cordless Makita Wet/Dry Vacuum. When soaking up flooded flooring or Carpet do you remove the Hepa filter?
Yea that way it won’t get saturated and get some bacterial growth. I will at times still leave a basic filter on but they do have the special foam ones for wet applications
Hey man super random question but I need your help. What would be the best way to get 3m adhesive or like glue from your cars carpet liner. I don’t want to rip out the fibers. Thanks
You’ll want to use some kind of solvent to help break that down. I use ones from Koch chemie. They have 3 options all with different strengths, I’d probably go with orange power from them for that.
I noticed that you did not use a drying aid. Do you find that a drying aid is unnecessary? I assume your drying method is still safe for your clients paint.
Yea i never really use drying aids. Using proper towels ive never had an issue. I do like the slickness from them, but lots of drying aids have protection in them and then that transfer on to the towel and that causes the towel to not be as absorbent. Just my personal preference
This is good to know. I have been mixing up absolute rinseless at their quick detailer ratio and using it as a drying aid because it will not leave protection. Seems like I could just skip that step and shorten my wash day. Thank you for all the good information you put out there.
Great tips. One question: are these ‘AUTOFIBER Mr. Everything Roll-o-Rags’ from your shop reuseable like those towels from Costco or I would need to throw away after few use?
So, why would you clean outside windows twice ? For me, I try to make sure they are clean as possible during the washing process and when drying then the outside windows are complete.
Hey Josh, I’m nearby in Del Mar, are you taking any new clients for detailing? If you have any new products you want to test out for future videos I’d be open to that with my coupe.
Hows it going, I have not been taking any new clients just because my schedule is so full... Ive tried employees in the past but its difficult and another job to manage that hah. Another car for video content could always be useful!
Gotcha, totally understand. My car isn’t ceramic coated nor has it ever been polished since I got it 3 years ago, so if you have any ideas for a future video I’d be glad to contribute my coupe whenever that time comes. I can bring it to your shop since I’m in a condo.
My lady thinks the Autofiber Paw Wheel Cleaner is cute. She thinks looks like a bear paw. Thus, I need to get it for that reason alone. Because I have TRC wool wheel mitt & mini hurricane already. Have you use this Paw Wheel Mitt?
It does, I made a video showing the how I use a scrubber when there is heavier build up but I still don’t use any chemicals. For me it’s easier to get streak free results. I just got some of built hambers window cleaner to try though
@@imjoshv Because that dude has plummeted the state into a budget deficit and is running everyone out. Now he's trying to tax everything to make up costs.

I don't know if you have done it already but I would love to see a deep dive on your work truck setup. It looks legit from what I can see.
