It seems to me that the factory exhausts have an excellent sound, so I don't see the point in spending 500 to 700 dollars for aftermarket exhausts that after driving for an hour you will end up with a headache.
No. I've changed the pipes and airfilter. And I replaced the lambdasond with a 02 sensor eliminator. Maybe it still runs a little bit rich but I dont care. Have a good day sir and thank you for commenting.
All valid points but i disagree with one... loud pipes do save lives... even if its not the main saviour... in nearly 40 years on the road, I've been a motorcycle instructor, a dispatch rider and currently run my own club... I've seen first hand that loud pipes have definitely saved a few... everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. and that's mine... ride safe buddy 👍
The stock pipes on this bike actually sound pretty good. Most cruisers stock pipes sound like a scooter.

Nice sound!
I like it but its loud. Very loud says my neighbours. Haha
nice ride, I just got a blue 2004 model with under 20k miles, put new tires, new battery and changed rear pulley bearing, its my favorite bike
Those stock mufflers would sound alot better with the baffles removed, and be much cheaper than an after market system.
It's hard to drive for long distances with non-stock pipes. Too loud, annoying, headache. VN2000 LT owner.
you have a point
