- OUR ENGLISH HOME: DECORATING WITH TRADITIONAL PRINTS, FRAMES & FABRICS// Hello everyone, We spent last weekend at home to do some DIY and we finally bought some great English prints and frames and got our gorgeous linen blind which is so perfect for our toile de jouy guest bedroom. We also found the most gorgeous Victorian lamp from an antique website. Hope you like it! Kirsten & Joerg

I just started watching your channel. At first, I was confused how the prints matched what I thought was a typical Toile wallpaper with pastoral scenes. Then you showed that it was circus scenes and it all made sense! I've never seen a Toile wallpaper with a circus theme before! The room is so pretty and restful and yet the prints show you have a sense of humor. Well done!

Love this... all beautiful your guest room is stunning.. @remember the 5 P's... pria/ preparation /privents /poor /performance... My late husband died at the age of 46..(22years ago) . He was master jioner and carpenter there was nothing he couldn't do .. And he always used to say this and I would laugh.. THANKYOU FOR reminding me... He was, a wonderful man...🙏.. My husband now is wonderful too of course.... but DIY is I'm afraid not his forte... So we have to pay to get things done he doesn't mind but because I've known different I fnd it so frustrating... You keep up the good work now... I'm enjoying seeing it all come together ❤️🙏❤️🤗

I was so pleased to see that you took so much care to clean the glass so well. I do the same! But I like the tape idea on the back. I’ve seen it on professional art pieces I have, but 8 did not know it was for dust. Thank you for that information.

I was once a picture framer. The shop called Ross Frame Shop is still open in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My former husband is the picture framer there, over 50 years! The look of satisfaction on Joerg’s face is the best picture in the room.
The pretty balance of color and fabric for the window was picture perfect too.
DIY. They maybe small steps, but they look major.

The lamp looked beautiful, you were so lucky to find it. The prints look so nice in your spare room. You have a great eye for design and the patience to find the exact items to enhance your home. Joerg isn’t very handy. I would have to pay someone to paint our house and frame our prints. My husband always says, he would rather spend his time earning money at a job he can do so he can pay someone to do the jobs he can’t do! I hope that makes sense to you. It has worked out OK for us but you have to make sure you use good tradesmen that are highly recommended. Thanks for the great update on your home improvements.

I love these DIY vlogs...not only does it inspire me to continue working on my own Edwardian redecoration, but the care and thought you put into selecting each aspect of your home decoration also prompts me to slow down and be much more mindful about my choices too, rather than rushing to get a room completed. You don't have to do it of course but it definitely protects them from dust (especially when it's something more valuable, it's really worth doing).
