    I know nothing about farming, live stock, nor cattle maintenance, but I look forward to your videos. I'm learning something new, and it is nice to see someone passionate about caring for life on this planet. It is also a nice reprieve from all intense news in the world and negativity out here on TH-cam and Social Media.

    Your explanation of white line defect with the block was super helpful. Somehow I didn't quite realize that these defects start at the corium and grow out. I thought the initial damage was at the walking surface. Makes so much more sense now.

      @jamesonweimann4720 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah I’ve seen enough episodes to realize that with hoofed animals that often what you see on the walking surface is just a minor symptom of a bigger problem underneath

    What I love about how you handle these problem areas especially when it comes to lesions, is that you’re very careful of not cutting to deep down to the live horn and the corium layer unlike some other hoof trimmers here on TH-cam. I saw one video by another Hoof trimmer (I’m not going to name names) but he cut so far down that he made the cow bleed very badly. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Nate make a cow bleed and if he did, it was just a little surface blood. I knew right away that this guy made a mistake thanks to watching so many of Nate’s excellent videos.
