Nice review!👍 I absolutely love my Allen 53 Longprimer! It's my daily driver! The grain on the Highland Goatskin is absolutely amazing. The craftsmanship on the 53 is nothing like I've ever seen. I have quite a few premium Bibles and the Allen 53 Longprimer is by far the best.

I have the 63!! It is the perfect KJV for me. I LOVE it! I love the size, the thick paper, the full Yapp, the long ribbons and the goatskin leather. I love that the layout reminds me of a bible that I had when growing up. I keep it as my intimate, worship Bible! I keep it in my bedroom to read last thing every night. I don't know why, but I feel closer to God somehow when I settle down and read from this Bible. Thank you Tim for helping me know which Allan Bible would be the perfect choice for me!

i ordered this bible today: Allan KJV 62 Longprimer Sovereign Black Meriva Calfskin Silver Line Edition Bible and i'm super looking forward to it because i already have an Allan bible in Red Goatskin ( also a Silver Line ) and i really Love it and i'm very excited to now have an Allan bible in both Red Goatskin and Black Meriva ( i would pronounce it like mer-Reeva ) Calfskin.

Awesome review. I have several Allan bibles.The best in my opinion. The 53 is my favorite. It feels a bit lighter and less bulky than the 52. Could be purely a mental thing. Both are outstanding quality bibles. I have an older 53 that is about an 1/8th of an inch thinner than my newer ones. Which is more preferable to me. Allan must have switched paper or something at some point. Again a personal preference issue.
I’m going to a 53 or 63 due to the goat skin cover and I like regular and big bibles so I can read them better but I also like the handy size as well
Hi Tim, the thread from the edge lining on my ESV Clarion has come out a little bit. It's just a little thread sticking out at the top which is disappointing because I feel like for that much money I spend I shouldn't have thread coming out. Anyways, what do you recommend? I think maybe glue it down or cut the end. I'm just worried that if left untouched it will continue to come out.
It sounds like you could trim it.

Tim, your videos have been a Godsend to me in my quest to buy a premium Bible. However, I wish one of these publishers would design a format that caters to people with reading difficulties due to ADHD or other neurodivergent disorders. It would be wonderful.
What is the font size of the 62?
Hey Tim. Do you have any experience with the calfskin patina over time? I’m curious how it holds up with a lot of use, being that it has a lot smoother of a finish than the goatskin. Thanks!!
I tend to really baby the calfskin just because it’s so soft… so I don’t have any that are really “roughed up” that much.

Any info or comments on the lack of italics in the kjv text?
As someone who owns several Allan’s bound by both Charfleet and Royal Jongbloed, I wish so bad that Allan would let RJ bind the Highland Goatskin bibles. Charfleet’s corners are so rough compared to RJ’s crispy clean ones.

I just ordered the 62 in purple today. I wish the purple was as dark on the 62 as it is on the 52. This is my very first Allan purchase but I’m quite sure it won’t be my last!

The Longprimers do not use red letter.
Now, R.L. Allan needs to make a 42 to go with the 43.
