    So you can choose not to hookup the front seat controls to the screen..........PERFECT! That was the answer I was out to find if it was possible, thank you so much!

    Hi Sid, been watching your videos & the content is great! I’m based in Dubai too with a Tesla Model Y 2023 with some functional mods.
    My TMY 2023 manufactured month of Dec in Germany, bought in Dubai, UAE, does not have this power connector at the rear shown in 5:45. Is it different or am I missing something?
    Then I hooked the H86 rear display up to the passenger A-pillar side OBD & power ports, also has a Hansshow 8.8 inch F888 display connected, which was working fine. After that, both these displays are not powering up, nothing fixes it including replugging the display units or powering off/on the car. Also the climate control on the main display shows “Climate keeper unavailable due to system fault”. I have written to Hansshow today, hopefully they know the fix.
    Thought to run this by with you, appreciate if you can share your thoughts on how to fix it?

      I have the exact same model, so I’m surprised you don’t have the port right below the AC. Sounds like you might have had an electrical short. You can put the Tesla into diagnostics mode (look it up online) it will show you what’s wrong in more detail and maybe you can reset it from there . Wait for hanshow to get back to you as well .

      @@varerkarsThanks! If I can share with you some pics taken of the unit when I opened it up, please do let me know. It was surprising for me too & I have also shared those with Hansshow. I will check this with diagnostics mode, hopefully it tells me something about what caused this & also will check putting the old rear unit back to see if it reverts to normal. I’ll post updates on these as well as Hansshow’s response🤞🏻

      Turns out that the port is on the driver side below & between the center console tray and cup holders, the panel has to be opened to access it (Hansshow responded & confirmed this). Unfortunately not mentioned in any of the Hansshow's instruction videos or manual. Out of the 2 wiring harnesses provided, the matching one for my AMD processor model is too short to reach the rear unit (they missed this design completely & unable to find any other install videos for this), and the other longer one included is not the correct one. Have requested them to send a longer one, tested the unit to be thankfully working fine with the shorter harness.
      While I tried hooking the rear display to the passenger OBD & power port with the longer wiring harness, there possibly was an electrical short as you mentioned, knocking out my 8.8 inch front display. The Tesla diagnostics only show there was a software update attempted couple of hours later and it was unable to update the temperature humidity sensor ECU (component unresponsive during firmware flashing), possibly due to the short, resulting in the Climate keeper error. Some online recommendations are to reflash the firmware or software reinstall from the service menu, thought to better raise a service request to Tesla. Hopefully they will sort out these last 2 issues.
      Lost a bit of trust on Hansshow after this 😥

      @@varerkars yep true, sucks to go thru this experience. Btw mine is a Model Y RWD, not the Dual Motor Long Range. The port might be different coz of this maybe?

    How do you connect the audio to the Tesla audio system? Also, how do you store content locally?

    • @varerkars
      @varerkars  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use bt transmitter and pair it to your Tesla audio. Regarding storing content locally you feed to copy it on a fat formatted usb and plug into the device media port , then use the local video app to select and copy to local drive

    The built in speakers don't work for me, any idea why? Trying to contact for support but they don't seem to answer. I also don't have the rear seat sensor switch option in my settings, is there an update I have to install?
