@neonmushroom6763 no problem man love your vids love your personality and the people u bring on like guy. Most underrated mtg channel ever bro. You have brought me hours and hours of entertainment bro and i have 0 complaint your doing great i hope u know that
I'm very Happy with Standard content! I'd love to see you guys play a White/Black deck with Zoraline (most decks I find online are just mono black with Get Lost) I want to see an fair honest Orzhov midrange deck to inspire my brew with! Sadly I'm quite a bad deckbuilder so hope ya'll try something so I can steal it for my next standard event. Otherwise I'll sadly have to switch over to the Dimir deck. It's fire!
28:44 why did you say this is a good match up for golgari? ive been watching a lot of pro play and it seems a lot of people are saying dimir midrange is favored vs golgari so im curious what your thought process is with this? for example the recent Arena Championship showed 20 Dimir midrange decks, 10 gruul aggro decks, and the last 20 submitted decks were random things like golgari midrange domain overlords and simic terror. the main reason dimir midrange had such a showing was because people were certain it beats golgari, thus the limited amount of golgari players. and since golgari wasnt being ran, that allowed more people to run gruul aggro since golgari is a tough match up for them. the ultimate winner of the tournament was a gruul aggro deck, Keisuke Sato won $30k for 1st place.
Because we hadn't played the matchup yet and before foundations and duskmorn it was a good mu for golgari. Curiosity, kaito, and the flash threats swung the matchup
I haven't played standard since foundations released, but I've been loving it lately. Had the most luck with boros rabbit control but have been messing around with the control ramp. Would love to see a nice uwu contrl deck, though!
@neonmushroom6763 well I mean we have a 1 drop that dies and ma,especially a token we have a 3 drop that can die 9 times and some surprisingly good sac outlets and some of the best removal standards seen in a long time hmm I might have to actually try brewing this
Not gonna lie, I was a little bummed to share Papa Shroom time with Standard but you got me hooked…. I will always love Modern but Standard looks like it is in such a good spot right now and there is a little something for everyone. But 🐸🍄 4ever
Yay for playing not-diseased formats! As much as you guys elevate modern to be fun to watch, I can't really enjoy modern. Big fan of the open standard format atm, the brewing space ❤🙏
@@neonmushroom6763 Oh for sure. and im pretty serious now, want to take a stab at RCQ season for the first time and need to build (play a lot of online magic). testing both of these decks and I think the safer option is golgari but I really love the play pattern and strength of the dimir mid/ tempo game. Its sweet. GerryT is big on this deck as well, and ever since I saw his build ive been playing this deck. the format and decks evolve a lot so it can get pricey, but its really exciting times. all the power coming in wl how huge standard is now (3 / 5 years) really is revolutionary for the format!
It gets cold and the boys start Dressing 💦💦💦💯 Loving the standard content. I'm all for the format you play fluctuating with whats competitive at the moment btw, at this point we are all just fans of you and your friends playing Magic.
Yeah it's super interesting because the midrange decks can still slow the fast stuff down, I really enjoy it but it's much different than it was 10 years ago
I disagree with some side boarding here . Studying what Arne Huchenbeth has wrote in his dimir guide and playing a lot of this format, I feel like you are worried about too specific cards kind of. Chocking miasma is super poor with the flash threats and doesn’t actually get rid of haymakers while also killing his own dread knights and elves. Deep Cavern bat is actually bad against all cut down decks, because you get incredibly punished by cut down and golgari can ignore the creature most of the time. Sheoldred is also bad in this matchup due to it being really bad into GFTT and it doesn’t. Dimir needs to play with flash control as the gameplan as annex is a significant threat to be aware of, and that’s how you played game 1. Golgari a creatures are better than yours, which is why sheoldred can just be ignored if Golgari has an arch fiend of the dross out. Small things but just wanted to put my input here. Besides that, you guys did mirror Arnes and Reid dukes guides on these decks.
Appreciate the well written feedback buddy, I haven't had time to look over that literature but it makes sense to me. Well remember this for the future, tyvm for watching
turns out it's not just the modern, I just like the magic played on this channel

We ate em
the range of ub in this format is wild, my list from cubs is nothing like ur list
i also added drowners to my deck on sunday partially for this mu
Yeah I saw you did go with the brineborns, I do like Drowner for the green matchups rn, I wanna try some number of sailor
I haven't played standard since foundations released, but I've been loving it lately. Had the most luck with boros rabbit control but have been messing around with the control ramp. Would love to see a nice uwu contrl deck, though!
The rabbit deck is v good rn, the mono white version took 1st & 2nd in Columbus
Ive been loving the idea of standard post foundations been toying with aristocrats just not sure if that would be viable
Haven't even looked into it, could be good. Iike the reanimator lists running around

Missed making a food when cottage attacked in game 1, but i dont think +3 life makes a difference in winning/losing that game
Yeah I don't think so, but good catch
Pandemonium in Cambridge used to be my lgs. I wanna go if I move back to boston

Standard is weird cause the fastest decks are the same as the fastest modern decks but the midrange decks and control decks are much slower

18:51 A free pre-game Duress from the long-haired dude? Sneaky. You guys sure like revealing your hand information.
I've explained why we do this many times, if you don't understand at this point idk how to help you
No not the standard golgari deck…
Also Shelly is still in standard?
She sure is, and the golgari deck is "usually" pretty sweet
Alright youve convinced me to NOT build the prowess deck in standard now thanks
Lmao that deck is fast
